Joyln's pov.
My eyes widened at what I'd just done. My voice had been so loud that faint cracks had formed on the window.
Everyone stared at me in awe, and I swallowed hard.
When Tricia regained her composure, she stood abruptly, ready to march over to me, but the door clicked open just in time.
"Settle down, students. We have a lot to cover today," Mrs. Karp said as her heels clicked against the floor.
Tricia smirked before crossing back to her seat. I exhaled the breath I'd been holding and turned my gaze to the side.
I was expecting to see Luscious beside me, but surprisingly, he wasn't there.
My eyes scanned the classroom, but he was nowhere to be seen.
My heart thudded against my chest. "Where is Luscious?"
Luscious was never one to come late to class ever. If he wasn't here, something must have happened to him. My stomach churned at the thought, and a wave of anxiety hit me like a brick wall.
