Tricia had made her feelings toward me abundantly clear over the past few weeks. She hated me.
Whether it was because of Luscious, Rydner or some other reason, I wasn't entirely sure, but her jealousy was practically oozing from her in waves.
And now that I was being paired with Rydner, her anger was palpable.
I shot her a quick glance, meeting her glare head-on for a moment before forcing myself to look away.
She wasn't worth my time. I wasn't about to let her intimidate me—not today.
"Alright," Mrs. Karps called out, pulling everyone's attention back to the front.
"For today's exercise, we'll be activating the mind link. Remember, a strong link requires focus and trust. Your connection with your partner must be seamless. The stronger your bond, the easier it will be to communicate."
My stomach twisted at the thought. Trust? Seamless connection? How was I supposed to do that with Rydner, of all people?
