Back at her desk, Nina immediately got to work. She started by pulling up the previous short videos the company had produced, watching them repeatedly to analyze the style and pacing, jotting down notes in her notebook with every insight. After thoroughly absorbing the video's rhythm, she turned on her computer, logged into the company website and e-commerce platform, and meticulously reviewed the product features and selling points.
Next, Nina dove into market research reports related to the industry, examining consumer preferences and market demands to better understand the target audience's interests and needs.
Once she synthesized all this information, Nina began brainstorming new creative concepts, eventually developing several solid frameworks for new video campaigns.
To refine the details, she sought out a few lively and enthusiastic colleagues, inviting them to join her in a brainstorming session.
The team gathered around a table, exchanging ideas, scripting humorous scenes, and striving to make the content as engaging and entertaining as possible.
Finally, Nina borrowed some props and costumes, aiming to elevate the visual impact of the videos.
Meanwhile, Jessica returned to her own desk, took a deep breath, and gathered her thoughts before heading over to Zach Evans' office. She gently knocked on the door.
"Knock, knock." Hearing a "Come in" from inside, Jessica pushed the door open and stepped in.
"Boss, I have a question I'd like to clarify," Jessica said as she approached Zach's desk.
"What's on your mind?" Zach looked up, giving her his full attention.
"For the new employees, should we offer them the same benefits package you drafted earlier?" Jessica asked.
Zach put down the file in his hand, looked Jessica in the eye, and replied seriously, "Yes, we're committed to building a company that treats its people well."
Hearing his firm answer, Jessica felt reassured. She nodded, "Got it. I'll make sure everything's set up accordingly."
With that, Jessica returned to her workspace and began planning the company's next round of recruitment.
She pulled out a notebook and pen, carefully noting down the staffing needs for each department and outlining the responsibilities and requirements for each position. After that, Jessica logged onto major job boards and posted the openings, hoping to attract more qualified candidates.
To reach a broader pool of talent, Jessica also contacted local talent agencies and headhunting firms, requesting their assistance in finding suitable candidates.
Just before the end of the workday, Lily Quinn walked back into the office and headed straight for Zach's office without missing a beat.
Seeing Lily step in, Zach smiled and asked, "How did it go?"
"All set," Lily replied as she made her way to the sofa and sat down, "I've arranged for the deliveries to arrive at the company entrance tomorrow morning. Be prepared to receive them."
"Thanks for taking care of that, Lily," Zach said warmly. "What time will they be here?"
Lily shifted to a more comfortable position and replied, "I scheduled it with the dealership for 8:30 in the morning."
"Hmm…" Zach pondered for a moment, "I guess it's best if I handle it personally. This first step is crucial for the company's success. Even though I've asked Leo to manage it, he's never done this before. It's better if I lead the process myself this time."
"That makes sense. The company's still in its early stages, and there are a lot of things that need hands-on management," Lily agreed.
"Oh, by the way," Lily suddenly recalled, "You and Leo both have driver's licenses, right? We don't want to finish the car inspection only to find out neither of you can drive."
"Hahaha," Zach couldn't help but burst into laughter. "Are you questioning us? We got our licenses back in sophomore year! I may not have driven much, but I aced my exams, passed everything on the first try. Leo passed too, but he didn't get a perfect score like I did!"
Lily teased, "Sure, keep bragging. With your track record of losing interest in things quickly, I bet you don't even remember how to back into a parking spot. And here I thought you were aiming for a Benz? Really, you guys are something else."
As if on cue, the office door swung open, and in walked Leo, covered in dirt and looking like he'd just crawled out of a mud pit.
Leo glanced around, confirming there were no strangers present, before making a beeline for Zach's desk. Without a second thought, he grabbed Zach's half-full cup of bubble tea and downed it in one gulp.
"Greenhouse is up, and the fields are plowed. All we need now is the seed and irrigation equipment tomorrow," Leo announced matter-of-factly.
"Leo, that's impressive! Great work!" Zach exclaimed, genuinely pleased. Seeing Leo's disheveled appearance, Zach knew his friend had been working tirelessly for the company, and a sense of gratitude welled up within him.
"Tomorrow, I'll come to the site myself. I handled the setup for our original one-acre test plot, and with this expanded area, I need to be there to make sure everything runs smoothly. Can't have our general manager messing things up, right?" Zach quipped playfully.
"Haha, Zach, are you questioning my leadership skills now?" Leo shot Zach a mock glare but then broke into a grin. "Fine, come on over tomorrow. I'll be your assistant. Let's see if you're as good as you say!"
"Yeah, right, like I don't know what you're capable of!" Zach teased back. "Just don't get in my way, okay?"
"Psh, just wait and see!" Leo flexed his arm dramatically, grinning like a kid itching to show off.
Lily watched them banter, shaking her head with a smile. "You two really can't help but bicker the moment you see each other. Anyone would think you're sworn enemies."
"Go, shoo! Stay out of this!" Zach and Leo shouted in unison, waving Lily off.
Lily couldn't help but laugh at the sight of these two grown men behaving like kids. One covered in mud, the other leisurely sipping a fresh cup of bubble tea. They really were two peas in a pod.
"You two are impossible," Lily sighed. "So, what's the dinner plan tonight?"
"Let's go to my place! I'll show you what a real five-star chef's cooking looks like!" Leo puffed out his chest proudly, clearly thrilled at the prospect.
"Yeah, right," Lily snorted, immediately deflating his ego. "Zach's told me all about your so-called cooking skills. Don't go ruining his homegrown veggies!"
"Hey! That's where you're wrong," Leo protested. "Zach's veggies are incredible! Nutritious, delicious, they taste amazing no matter how you cook them!"
"Well, I'll give you that," Lily conceded, nodding. "Everyone's been raving about how Zach's super-vegetables are packed with nutrients and have great health benefits. I guess there's no need to eat out with produce like that."
"Exactly! It's our company's golden product! So, let's get going!" Zach chimed in.
With the decision made, the three of them grabbed their things and headed out together, laughter filling the air as they left the office.
