Lucian's vision changed drastically, from spinning and blurry to a clearer and more composed one. But he was no longer in the cavern; he was somewhere else, in the country next to what he assumed was a village.
He opened his mouth as he clutched his neck, but no sound came out. He narrowed his eyes and tried to move, but couldn't, he was immobilized. He didn't know what was going on and was confused about what had happened. He was sure he had just unearthed a corpse and was suddenly attacked by something....a serpent.
He looked around, the only thing he could move was his neck. He recognized his surroundings, they looked like the same place he was found by Lunaris's riders back when he first passed. He noticed a couple of mills at the side of the village and immediately recognized the place; this was where he thrashed around when he rampaged about.
