Chapter 28 - Chapter 28 Keep an eye on your woman

Gu Nuannuan said calmly, "Since he loves her, why doesn't my husband marry her? To put it bluntly, he still doesn't love her."

"Heh, Gu Nuannuan, look at you from head to toe, you're full of cheapness. Do you know how you got married? You and Rou'er are like the contrast between an ugly duckling and a white swan."

Gu Nuannuan glanced at Wei Aihua, and finally, her eyes fell on Wei Aihua's wrist. She looked at the familiar bracelet. "I may be cheap, and you may be noble, but how can you be like me? That bracelet is worth a million. People who know say that the money to buy the bracelet was earned by my husband. But those who don't know might think that the eldest brother is corrupt and accepting bribes."

"How dare you!" Jiang Lao shouted.

His eyes were bloodshot because of the two women.

The eldest daughter-in-law was middle-aged but incredibly foolish.

The second daughter-in-law was young but outspoken.

One mentioned Gao Rou'er, whom he despised the most, and the other said something borderline treasonous.

Mayor Jiang's expression also darkened. "Gu Nuannuan, considering your young age, I will not pursue this matter further."

He then turned to his younger brother and said to Jiang Chenyu, "Keep an eye on your wife."

Jiang Chenyu was taken aback, but his face remained calm. He smiled and replied, "Big brother, the same goes for you."

Jiang Lao gritted his teeth and ordered, "No one is allowed to talk in the restaurant from now on. Anyone who speaks will leave."

As soon as he finished speaking, the four who had just been talking stood up simultaneously. With a rare moment of tacit understanding, they all left the restaurant together.

Jiang Lao was so angry that he used his cane to sweep all the plates off the table onto the floor. His hands were shaking with rage.

Outside, the four of them split into two groups, heading in different directions.

Gu Nuannuan naturally followed Jiang Chenyu. She said, "You saw it this morning. With me here, your family won't have any peace."

Jiang Chenyu turned around just as the morning sun shone on his face. Gu Nuannuan looked up at the man bathed in the morning light. It would be nice if his appearance matched his heart.

Jiang Chenyu licked his back teeth with his tongue, his Adam's apple moving. "I didn't expect you to dare to say all that."

"So, you're not moving out?" she asked.

Jiang Chenyu smiled wickedly. "Yes."

Then he added, "Anyway, you're making them angry, not me."

With that, he turned and walked toward the Gust car, his back to the sun.

He had to go to work.

Gu Nuannuan was still on vacation, and she watched the Gust drive away. Her stomach growled again...

She went back to the bedroom, locked the door, and sat on the sofa in a depressed mood.

Gu Nuannuan pouted in grievance, her eyes turning red.

If her parents knew what she was going through at the Jiang family, they would undoubtedly take her away without hesitation.

Gu Nuannuan missed her parents, feeling wronged.

Tears fell from her eyes, and she lay on the armrest of the sofa, burying her face and crying quietly.

The hungrier she felt, the more aggrieved she became.

"Mom, I miss the braised lion's head you made."

Jiang Chenyu's message had been clear enough; he wasn't going to leave.

Gu Nuannuan cried for a while, and her mind cleared up.

Today was August 19th, and there were still 12 days before her school started. Once school began, she would be free.

Gu Nuannuan realized that she couldn't keep offending people with her sharp tongue. The purpose of her sharp words that morning wasn't to argue with Wei Aihua. Her ultimate goal was to show Jiang Chenyu that her mouth was too troublesome and hope that he would take her out of the Jiang family as soon as possible.

But she hadn't expected to offend Mayor Jiang and anger Mr. Jiang, and her goal remained unachieved.
