"Could this be a sign of one of the ancient beings of darkness?" asked one of the bishops in a low tone.
"Or... a creature resurrected from ancient times?"
The cardinal shook his head in despair.
"I'm afraid his power surpasses anything we know. The darkness that envelops him is not magic we have ever studied, nor a force that can be explained by our knowledge. This... this is something bigger, older... something from the deepest darkness."
A high priest wearing a purple robe and holding a staff adorned with jewels bowed his head, his hand gripping the staff tightly.
"If this power comes from ancient darkness, then we may be facing a greater threat than we ever imagined. Darkness like this cannot be ignored."
The cardinal nodded again, his eyes brimming with tears, his voice filled with despair.
"I fear... we may not have enough time to prepare. The power I saw in that vision... he could destroy us all if we don't act swiftly."
