The room beyond the gate was dark and cold, its walls made of black stone covered with ancient carvings.
Tof's hideout was a fortress hidden within another dimension, far from the reach of light and life from the outside world. Nyssa, unconscious, was roughly carried by Otso, who despite being in his monstrous form, appeared weak and wounded from his battle with Ethan.
As they entered the vast room filled with dark artifacts, Tof shot a sharp glance at Otso. His anger was clear on his face, but the cold smile still lingered on his lips, as if he was savoring the confusion and fear that flickered in Otso's eyes.
"You failed, Otso." Tof's voice was icy, controlled fury lacing his words. "All the plans we've laid out have crumbled because of your inability to eliminate a few pests. You even nearly got yourself killed!"
