Damien's POV.
"I want an additional four guards at the gate to make searching easier," I said to the captain of the guards as we patrolled the perimeter of the manor.
"Yes sir— But what about the general residence?"
"What about it?"
"Rotating guards and changing their position makes the manor less protected," the captain reminded me carefully as he marched beside me.
"That's not a major issue, have the guards in the inner chambers move outside to guard the main building—" my eyes landed on my father walking towards me and my words stopped.
Anger coursed through me but I swallowed it back and turned to the captain. "I will talk to you later, remember, keep watch of Arielle."
The man bowed and left immediately. Father's presence loomed closer and I found it hard to hide my irritation.
"I see you have done a good job convincing Arielle to heal the children of the pack," he praised as he got to me.
