Chapter 46 - Chapter 46: Humiliation

Varys is surrounded by intrigues, so he is very wary of the mysterious man's scheming. From the fact that the mysterious man saved Shireen today, he felt the kindness in the mysterious man's heart.

He had a sense of recognition for the mysterious man. With such a person assisting Queen Daenerys, the future Seven Kingdoms would be one step closer to his ambition.

Drogon didn't expect that he was afraid that Varys would not understand his behavior of rescuing Shireen and would not put in enough effort, so he told him the reason. Unexpectedly, he got Varys's approval, which was an unexpected gain.

After standing in front of the stone table and thinking for a while, Varys came up with a way to accommodate Shireen. He went back to the room, wrote down his plan, put it back on the stone table, and returned to the room.

Seeing Varys enter the room, Drogon flew down from the tree, grabbed the parchment and flew to the roof. Looking at Varys' plan, he couldn't help but frowned, or to be more precise, the brows above his eyes.

The method of picking up Shireen at Dragonstone was feasible, but Drogon disagreed with the method of sending her to Pentos.

Varys planned to contact a cargo ship after picking up Shireen, let her hide in a wooden box disguised as cargo, and someone would take her to where she would be settled after arriving in Pentos.

Drogon could imagine Shireen sadly leaving Dragonstone, being locked in a dark and lonely box across the Great Sea, and arriving in a completely unfamiliar place.

This is not something a ten-year-old girl should have to endure.

Varys also knew that this was somewhat unfair to Shireen, but this method was the safest. After all, her identity was special and easy to be exposed.

Drogon still rejected Varys' plan and only let him be responsible for getting Shireen out of Dragonstone.

After careful consideration, Drogon wrote a reply to Varys and put it back on the table.

Estimating that the time was about right, Varys pushed open the door and walked out. Sure enough, he saw the message on the table. He was sure that the mysterious man must be an alien, and was controlling a very smart and clever bird, otherwise it would be impossible for him to communicate with him so flexibly.

After seeing the contents of the paper, Varys hesitated for a moment before writing his reply.

After receiving the reply, Drogon returned to Dragonstone and told Shireen the scheduled time and place.

Knowing that she would soon leave Dragonstone, Shireen felt very sad. This was where she grew up, but she also knew that she had to leave. When her father came to see her a few days ago, she felt that her father was no longer the same father he used to be.

After writing the letter to Shireen, Drogon was not in a hurry to leave. Tomorrow was the wedding day of the little monster Joffrey, and he planned to witness the bloody moment of history in person.

Seeing that Drogon took out a bunch of delicious food from his backpack and ate it with her, with no intention of leaving, Shirin asked tentatively: "Drogon, aren't you in a hurry to leave today?"

Drogon nodded and wrote on a piece of paper beside him: "We'll leave tomorrow morning."

Seeing that Drogon was leaving tomorrow, Shireen's depression was swept away. While eating, she asked Drogon where he was going to send her.

When she heard that she was going to Pentos, Shireen immediately recalled the books about Pentos and imagined her future life in Pentos.

"Will you come to see me again when I go to Pentos?"

Drogon nodded.

"Is Pentos the largest city in the Free Cities?"

Drogon nodded.

"I heard that there..."

Shireen kept asking questions, and sometimes told Drogon interesting stories about other cities in the Free Cities.

Listening to her chattering, drogon regretted staying. If he had known this would happen, he would have spent the night on the tree branch.

However, he really admired shireen's broad knowledge. She knew so much at such a young age.

After finishing the meal, Shireen seemed to be tired. She sat on the bed and chatted with Drogon for a while before falling asleep. Drogon lay beside her and also fell asleep.

As soon as the sun rose, Drogon woke up. Shireen was sleeping soundly beside him, hunched over like a kitten. Without waking Shireen up, he quietly opened the window and flew out.

On the way to King's Landing, he caught a few big fish in Blackwater Bay and grilled them to satisfy his hunger, so that he had enough energy to continue flying.

After walking around King's Landing, he saw a tree-lined manor by the sea that was hung with colorful flags and lanterns. He landed on a big tree and took a closer look. The manor was filled with long tables and chairs, and the floor was covered with luxurious carpets. Servants shuttled among the guests, placing fruits and delicacies on the tables.

Drogon's gaze quickly fixed on a long table. There were men and women sitting at the table. All of them were dressed in gorgeous clothes and had good temperament.

Sitting in the main seat was a handsome young man wearing a golden crown. On his right was a blonde lady in her thirties with a graceful figure and charming eyes.

The person on the left has blond and white hair, but his face doesn't look old. He sits straight.

Drogon quickly guessed their identities. The one wearing the golden crown must be Joffrey, and the ones next to him might be Cersei and Tywin.

Moving right along the long table, he finally saw Tyrion, with most of his body submerged under the table. He was the only one in the Seven Kingdoms of Dwarfs who could sit at this table.

His blond hair was fluffy, and there was a light red scar running diagonally across his face. This was the mark left by him during the Battle of King's Landing.

The girl next to him was tall, with long maroon hair, fair skin, and a solemn expression, which was totally out of place with the wedding atmosphere.

People were competing to present gifts to Joffrey. Little Rose's father gave his son-in-law a golden cup, symbolizing his status as king, Tywin, the Hand of the King. Joffrey's grandfather and grandfather gave him a newly forged Valyrian sword. Tyrion gave him a book, implying that he would become a wise king in the future.

Listening to Tyrion's congratulations, Joffrey's mouth twitched but he said nothing. The uncle and nephew seemed to be in harmony.

After the gift presentation, the wedding banquet officially began. Five dwarfs dressed in various costumes and carrying various props under their crotches performed the drama of the Five Kings' Clash.

As soon as the five dwarfs came on stage, Tyrion had the ugliest look on his face. The other guests had different expressions. Some laughed loudly, some frowned slightly, some looked at Tyrion for a reaction, and some were surprised at Joffrey's behavior.

Those who knew about their uncle-nephew relationship did not expect Joffrey to publicly humiliate his uncle during the wedding, and those who did not know the truth were also slightly stunned.

Joffrey was laughing so hard that he was bent over, but Little Rose felt very uncomfortable. After learning from Sansa that Joffrey was a monster, she had been dealing with him with caution. She never expected that Joffrey was even more perverted than she expected.

Watching Tyrion being humiliated in public, Varys frowned, thinking about how to persuade him to leave King's Landing.

Cersei looked at her son laughing wildly and occasionally laughed along. From time to time, she glanced at Tyrion's gloomy expression, and felt even more happy in her heart.

Tywin watched expressionlessly as Joffrey, his true grandson, humiliated their Lannister family.

After the dwarf finished his performance, Joffrey was still unwilling to let his uncle Tyrion go. He picked up his golden cup and asked Tyrion to kneel down and toast him.

The wedding banquet was suddenly silent. Some people looked serious while others looked like they were waiting for a good show. Cersei had never expected that what she had always wanted to do would be intensified by her own son and inflicted on this brother whom she never wanted to acknowledge. She felt very pleased.
