Chapter 11 - Worlds Apart

The air was heavy, thick with oppressive energy, making each breath feel labored. A low growl reverberated through the vast space, sending a shiver down John's spine as he stood before the towering iron bars.

The bars stretched upward endlessly, their blackened steel glinting faintly. Behind them, two burning red eyes glowed like twin suns in the darkness. The Nine-Tails loomed in shadow, its sinister grin lined with razor-sharp fangs piercing through the gloom.

Its presence was overwhelming, radiating power like an unrelenting storm.

"You're not scared, are you?" the Nine-Tails rumbled, its voice deep and resonant, rolling through the space like distant thunder—a taunt aimed straight at John's core.

"No," John replied firmly, his voice steady. While he couldn't ignore the beast's sheer power, fear had no place here.

The Fox tilted its head, its glowing eyes narrowing. "So, you brought me here?" it asked, calmer but no less intimidating, testing John's intent.

"Not with my intention," John answered, meeting its gaze without flinching.

The beast quieted, its growl fading as its massive red eyes locked onto John with piercing intensity. Silence hung between them for a moment.

"Who are you?" the Nine-Tails finally asked, its deep voice echoing. It squinted at John, sensing no hatred or malice from him. One moment, it had been watching that Uzumaki brat training with natural energy; the next, it was here, though still sealed.

Frustration bubbled beneath its confusion as the beast growled. "What is this place? And how did you bring me here?"

All this time, the Nine-Tails had been observing the world beyond the cage—the towering buildings, strange lights, and unfamiliar structures. It was unlike anything it had ever seen.

This isn't the Five Nations, it realized. No… this isn't even my world.

Extending its senses, the beast probed further, only to halt abruptly. It detected powerful presences—some rivaling Madara and Hashirama, while others far surpassed them.

Then, it sensed something faint yet incomprehensibly dangerous—a presence so overwhelming it felt like pure annihilation, a force that could erase everything. It surpassed even the Sage of Six Paths.

John opened his mouth to say something but stopped. He looked directly at the Nine-Tails.

"Looks like my time is up," he said, his tone calm yet resigned. "If my guess is correct, you'll return to the same time and place you came from."

As the last word left his lips, the transformation began to fade. The energy surrounding him dissipated, his features shifting back to normal. The connection between them grew weaker with every passing second until the template's transformation completed.

The Nine-Tails watched in silence, its glowing eyes narrowing slightly, as John disappeared before its massive gaze. The beast felt a strange pull, its consciousness slipping back to the familiar cage in its original world.

Outside, the Uzumaki brat kept trying to master Sage Mode. Inside the seal, Kurama muttered, "Another world," as the space around it grew darker until everything was black.

If anyone could see inside, they'd notice the difference—it was much darker and heavier than John's. The gloom felt alive, shaped by confinement and resentment, though whether it belonged to a beast or a human was unclear.

"I thought you were done for a moment there, boy," Fukasaku said, watching Naruto get back on his feet after a rough fall.

"Don't worry, Toad Grandpa. I'm fine," Naruto replied with a grin. He had just lost control of his chakra and slipped from the peak, but his determination remained unwavering.

He wouldn't let himself fail—not until he defeated Pain and reached the top. Only then could do what he wants.

Deep within the Toad Sage's sanctuary, Gamamaru lay motionless, as if in a deep slumber. Suddenly, his ancient eyes opened, their gaze distant and heavy with unseen knowledge.

"So, the future has shifted," he muttered, his voice low and cryptic. "The destroyer and savior... together."

With those words, his eyes closed once more, and he drifted back into his ageless sleep, leaving the faint echo of his prophecy lingering in the still air.

Back to John.

He exhaled sharply, taking deep, steadying breaths.

"It was the right decision to meet him at last," he murmured, " Despite how weak he seems compared to Madara and Hashirama, he is the Nine-Tails... His chakra reserves are no joke."

"Since I don't have any template now,"he muttered, "This month will be spent training my powers."

Fear of his parents' reactions had always held John back. He rarely practiced, only daring to test his abilities in secret when no one was around. Even then, his attempts were cautious and limited. Outside, he never risked using his powers—leaving behind any evidence of being a mutant was a risk he couldn't afford to take.

But now, there was no room for hesitation. The time for hiding was over.

Donald now John will not waste anytime.

New York

In a mansion, a blond-haired man paced the room, ending a call with a tense expression.

He headed downstairs to find Mr. Adam seated on the sofa, reading through papers.

"The facility is on fire," Brian said abruptly.

Adam paused, setting the papers down. "What?"

"Cops have surrounded it," Brian added, taking a seat beside him.

"What happened?" Adam asked, frowning deeply.

Brian shook his head. "We don't know. Yesterday, everything was fine. We met Dr. White, and now this."

"An attack?" Adam guessed.

"Most likely mutants," Brian replied, rubbing his temples. "Who else could it be?"

"They must have learned about their people being captured," Adam said, his tone sharp as he processed the situation. "White must've told them about us."

Brian shifted uneasily but didn't respond.

"What's really problematic is ensuring the secret agents don't find out," Adam continued, rubbing his forehead. "The ones with the highest authority…"

"Yeah," Brian muttered. "I've heard their name—Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division."

"Weird name," Adam commented dryly.

Then, standing up and dialing his phone, he added firmly, "I'm handling the evidence." Without waiting for a response, he left the room.
