Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Selena’s Point Of View

Only if she knew the person I was, the real me, what I signify. She must have read novels. So, why doesn't She believe in the existence of werewolves?

As she sat next to me and closed her eyes trying to think deeply, I couldn't help but connect myself to her brain

Yes, I'm a werewolf. I belong to Darkwood Pack, the most powerful park in America.

I possess different abilities; I could read minds and through that. I took Anastasia as my best friend because her mind was so pure and not evil unlike other people I have met.

I never knew I could be close to humans again. Now, she needs my help and I'm willing to help her.

After entering her head, she finally uttered the statement I was waiting for.

''I think I can remember,'' I heard her say and I patiently waited for the description of the stranger she had a one night stand with.

"He has a tattoo on his muscles. His eyes are gray and his hair is dark long," she said and I couldn't help but pinpoint that the person she was describing was familiar.

The features of the person fitted that of Apha Dominic of the Darkwoods pack. I was confused and I tried to clear my head to think straight.

"That's a mistake," I whispered to myself and Anastasia looked at me as I grabbed her head.

"I need to find the father of these babies, I can't take responsibility alone." She said as she sobbed, her tone downcast.

I was trembling in fear because my mind had never deceived me. What if my guess was right?

That means my best friend was really in trouble. Dominic Steele was a deadly man that people trembled when they saw or heard anything about him.

I wondered how she had the encounter with him. It was so unbelievable that they both managed to have sex.

"I will find something to do about it, but I need your help on something." I said and she became attentive.

"What is it? I'm willing to do anything that will make me find him," she hurriedly replied.

"Do you still have the cloth of the incident that happened between you?" I questioned, staring at her sternly.

She craned her head, trying to remember, "Ohh, yes. I still have the cloth and I will bring it to you shortly."

"Have you washed it?" I raised my brows as I asked.

''Yes, I have washed it," she replied with a frown on her face. I could imagine that she was thinking about what happened so I patted her.

"It's okay. Let's go over to your place," I said and we both proceeded out of the club.

Outside, we boarded a cab and highlighted when we reached our destination.

We went directly to her house and I waited in the sitting room while she went into her room.

Patiently waiting for her, she came back to the sitting room. "Here, this is it," she handed me a cloth, staring intensely at me.

"Okay. I will handle everything, just give me some days." I collected the cloth from her and sat down.

"You have to calm down, okay? I will surely get to the root of the matter." I sighed as I said to her.

"Now take a deep rest, okay?" I rubbed her back giving her support.

"Now leave me and let me find who is behind this," I withdrew from her, taking the cloth.

I instantly returned to my house to find out who the stranger was. I used my sniffing power and sniffed all the cloth around then stored it in my brain.

"There shall be a meeting tonight and I will find out the truth," I muttered as I remembered the meetings we usually have.

Without any further delay between the light and darkness, the darkness later conquered the light and it gave me an opportunity to turn into my wolf form, jumping out of my window.

Going deeper into the night, I finally reached my destination. I turned back to my human form, in my full glory. Very soon, the person everyone was waiting for came.

Dominic Steele. He howled at everyone and everyone grimaced in fear. And along him was Benjamin and his sister, they actually came in their human form.

Everyone settled down as the meeting started and he addressed them, "I welcome you to our meeting tonight. As you all can see, our mating ball will start soon."

As he talked, I was happy and the others also were because everyone was eager to meet their mate.

At the same time, I was looking for a way to get closer to Dominic and sniff him well. I bit my lips as I thought of a plan.

"I need to do something," the wolf inside me affirmed.

"Let's sing our anthem," I howled and everyone agreed to do that while he transformed. I was hoping he did as I would be able to see the tattoo Anastasia described her encounter had.

I wondered if he would consider my facts because he was just so ruthless and adamant. I looked at the other packs as they howled in response to him.

He walked to the center and proceeded to transform. A low growl escaped his lips as his shirt came off and his trousers got torn because his laps were expanding.

I quickly took a view of his chest, checking his transformation out.

"That's it, I found it." I uttered with cheerful happiness but then, sadness overcame me again. I didn't know what to tell Anastasia that would make her forget him because he was no ordinary man, he was a cold one.

I was deep in thought and my mind drifted away from the current situation. I was snapped out of my thoughts when Erica snarled at me, requesting for my attention. I had no choice but to join them.

Finally after our departure, I went home and laid down on my bed still pretty occupied about what I will tell Anastasia. She really depends on me and I don't want to let her down.
