Lin Susu had promised Elder Tang that she would tell her father that she was practicing the Emerald Swan Technique.
Meeting the same guards as before, they all greeted Lin Susu, and she replied with a small bow, heading straight inside.
Lin Liang was currently talking to some old men in white robes and all had swords on their waists, a few had one sword and a few had two. The faces on all them were particularly bad.
"How dare the Sun Sword Sect steal and cripple the First Young Master?! Just because of divorce agreement, they dare act like we still don't exist?" One of the elders yelled, holding the sword on his waist so tightly, it was making his skin pale white.
Lin Liang didn't have the mood to deal with it, he had already tried his best to mend their relationship with the Sun Sword Sect but it was futile. Now that they dare cripple his son, it was already a sign of war.
Lin Chen, his first son, was the most talented out of everyone in the clan. The third son is the second most talented followed by the second son. The difference between the three isn't large, and it's mainly due to the education given by the Sun Sword Sect that allowed the first son to rank first between the three sons.
Anger burned in his heart as he sank deeper into his thoughts, and fire started to appear on his body followed by a pair of fiery crow wings. The temperature in the room was soaring and the breath of a Core Formation Realm practitioner could be felt.
Everyone's eyes trembled and bowed even more when Lin Liang lost himself in anger and revealed his Red Crow Bloodline. The Red Crow bloodline is the main bloodline in the Lin Family, all three sons of his inherited it, but now one couldn't cultivate and the other was crippled...
Lin Liang had no idea that his third son had his bloodline changed to that of a phoenix.
"How long will it take for his return?" Lin Liang asked, restraining his aura and looked towards the elder.
"Roughly three days, I've already sent men to guide him back," the old man answered and bowed once more.
Lin Liang nodded his head and turned to the other elders and asked, "Elder Huo, do you know who crippled my son?"
Lin Huo was the third strongest in the Lin Clan, and his cultivation is already at the peak of the Foundation Establishment Realm.
"From the information given, it was Long Chen, the new lover of Yu Yan." The man answered, anger also boiling in his heart.
Lin Liang felt a burst of Qi erupting from his body and the elders at his side started to sweat. The Qi of someone at the peak of the Core Formation Realm could cause a heavy burden to the people at the Qi Refining Realm.
Lin Liang wanted to burn the city to the ground hearing this.
"Divorce my third son and cripple the first. Do they not think of the consequences of offending my Lin family?" The anger in his eyes seemed like a storm brewing, waiting to erupt at any moment.
Lin Liang closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Slowly he began to calm down and ordered, "From now on, the Lin family will have no connection and dealings with the Sun Sword Sect."
Hearing the order, everyone was silent and no one objected.
"Gather everyone for a meeting in two to three days when Lin Chen comes back. I wish to make the decision then," he said and all the elders nodded and vanished, and Lin Susu finally entered the room.
"Father." She said with a slight smile, but the gloom in her eye couldn't be hidden.
Hearing Lin Susu's voice, the man opened his eyes and the anger vanished like it wasn't even there to begin with.
"Yes, my daughter? Didn't I already give you a technique?"
Lin Susu looked at him with her sweet, cute smile. "Yes, I already learned the technique."
Lin Liang was stunned when he heard and shook his head.
"There's no reason to lie now."
Lin Susu giggled. "Father, I learned it already," she insisted, and came up behind him and activated Nature's Grace.
Lin Liang felt a warm force penetrate his body and his expression froze, turning around he couldn't help but feel surprised and joyful. This Qi was full of vitality which is the normal sign of wood Qi. But in less than a few seconds, his stiff limbs started to loosen and his recovery rate had spiked.
"The power of healing!" He muttered under his breath and smiled happily.
Lin Susu took back her hand and a voice sounded in her head.
[XP: 1]
[Nature's Grace Technique XP: 1]
'So quick?' Was the first thing Lin Susu thought, looking at how fast her nature's grace leveled up.
"Susu, how long did it take you to learn this?" Her father asked eagerly, snapping her out of her thoughts.
"Umm, like a minute? It really wasn't that hard." She told her Father as it wasn't exactly hard, since it's the system that basically taught her. Of course she wouldn't tell him that.
Hearing her answer, his eyes lit up in happiness, realizing just how talented she is! Her cultivation path may be shorter than Lin Chen or any others in their family.
"Erm father, the real reason why I came was because I'm also cultivating the Emerald Swan Technique, and the elder there said to tell you." She said, recalling what the elder said at that time.
"Huh? You're actually cultivating that?"
She smiled and nodded, "Yes, is there a reason why I can't? Do I need your permission or something?"
The man paused briefly and let out a light sigh, shaking his head. It wasn't really needed, but since that's a gold grade technique, the usage isn't easy at all, and might cause damage to the user.
"I don't recommend it. One of the elders cultivated it and died suddenly because he failed. But you can cultivate it. Seeing your talent in understanding techniques, it might be a waste to not use that skill to the best of its potential." He said.
"You have my blessing, so do you best," Lin Liang added with a nod, looking at Lin Susu who was still wearing a happy smile.
The two stared at each other for a while and the air was a little depressed.
"Ah, so shall I prepare gifts for the first brother?" Lin Susu asked, making a few movements.
"Well, yes, you should do that." Lin Liang sighed, while the smile on his face disappeared. He couldn't help but sigh and walk to a room on the side, grabbing a set of elixirs.
"You can give him this when the time comes." He said and passed them to her.
"Oh... What exactly are these?" She asked curiously, as she opened the case to find several elixirs. One was red in color while another was green and yellow, while the last one was black in color and had a bloody scent to it.
"Don't worry about that. Your first brother knows well."
Lin Susu nodded her head and stopped asking questions and left the main hall and headed straight for her room. She could finally start her life of cultivation!
