It's been 3 years since Jiyū ended up in this world, during this time he has not only had time to think about his situation but also what his future will hold, about a year ago he was told by his 'father' that he will soon have the honour of serving the main family.
After hearing that it was obvious that he was going to be branded with the slave seal soon. 'I've run through every single senario in my head these past few years. There's no way to escape this slave seal. Well there is a few ways but they aren't applicable,' Jiyū currently was deep in thought while laying on his bed. 'Way number 1, overwhelming power. If I had power or status I would never have been branded. Number 2, slaughter the whole clan and desert,' while his mind was occupied with how to commit a genocide he was snapped out of thought by the door opening and his 'father' Hizashi walking in. "Jiyū, it's time." Getting up and walking past Hizashi Jiyū let out a sigh of annoyance at his situation.
As Hizashi lead them through the clan compound towards the clan heads residence the branch members kept glancing at Jiyū with pity and resignation knowing that another soul will soon become a caged bird. Ignoring these people who have already accepted their fate Jiyū kept his expression neutral. 'I will bind my time, no way will I let my self become a slave like the rest of these idiots going on about fate.' As they arrived at the clan heads house who happened to be his uncle Jiyū was handed off by his father to one of the servants who took him to a room that was filled with kids around his age.
Glancing around it was obvious by the currently unmarked foreheads that they are all here to be made into slaves. Keeping his thoughts to him self Jiyū moved to a corner not intent of mingling with any of the brats around him. Although not knowing how old he was in his previous life he still feels like he is older then these brats around him.
As the door slid open a middle aged man with a stern expression walked in and glanced around. Seeing that all the kids are paying attention to him he let out a satisfied nod before getting ready to start the sealing ceremony. "My name is Hinoki Hyuga, I am the elder of the 3rd main family and today I will be the one to bestow upon you youngsters the honour of the branch house. Remember, yous from the branch family are all important, you're the backbone of the Hyuga clan meant to protect the main family. To ensure that you are all able to do your duty's without being compromised we from the main branch bestow upon you the mark of the branch house which not only keeps all the Hyuga safe but is also an honour only a select few can receive." Looking around at the kids who's expressions became proud and excited to receive the caged bird seal, the elder smiled in satisfaction. Unknown to many one child was looking around and frowning in disgust before quickly returning to his neutral expressionless face.
'How disgusting, brainwashing kids into thinking that being made into slaves is an honour, what's even worse is that these kids are believing this mainly due to their parents who have also been brainwashed. What a shitty family I've been born into….' Sighing in annoyance Jiyū waited for the elder to call his name before laying down in front of him and anxious to get this over and done with.
Looking up as the elder had started writing on his forehead Jiyū can feel the chakra being injected onto the lines being drawn, internally grimacing as his head started throbbing with a dull pain, allowing his face to stay expressionless until he elder finished Jiyū didn't stick around before leaving.
Walking outside his face scrunched up in pain and he held his head with his hand while leaning on a nearby wall. 'Ugh…. Why does my head hurt so much….' Limping over to the small pond in the yard, he plops down on the ground and feels the pain he thought to be in his head was actually his eyes feeling like they have ants running on them. Letting out a slightl groan he looks over to the reflection in the pond and is stunned by what he sees looking back at him. 'W-what the hell?! M-my eyes changed…' staring back at Jiyū was a pair of blue coloured iris' with the sclera coloured black. Ignoring the slight pain and looking around Jiyū notices that his vision has changed, not only has it improved, he could see through objects, looking to his left he could see a strange distortion in the air, ignoring it for now, he realised his vision length has reached almost a kilometre and that he could also view the inside of his body, seeing chakra continuous flow into his eyes Jiyū realised that this is something similar to the byakugan of the clan but also very diffrent.
'Although my eyes feel like they are in constant pain I've got to check that.' Turning his attention back to the pond Jiyū glances at his forehead and notices that the caged bird mark has faded away about 50%. Although still there Jiyū coudnt help it when he started laughing madly at seeing the famed Hyuga cursed seal half erased.
Suddenly without warning the pain in his left eye intensified as an image of a young child appeared in his head, she seemed to be walking his direction with an adult. Ignoring this strange occurrence and his aching eye, Jiyū decided to cut the flow of chakra to his eyes, right as he does that he gets a influx of memories bombarding his brain, trying to ignore the headache he cut pushes through the pain and cut the chakra flow watching as his eyes return to the normal Hyuga clan byakugan. Seeing the curse mark start reappearing Jiyū sighs in relief.
'That was weird, and dangerous I gotta be careful with using this dojut- no, the jogan in the future. I see so some of my memories have returned after I unlocked the Jogan, but there seems to be some missing," as he is thinking about his missing memories and the strange occurrence with the curse mark, his eyes widen in shock and recognition. 'I see! I've unlocked the first evolution of the byakugan, so a part of my memories returned and only 50% of the mark had disappeared. It seems like the more evolved my dojutsu gets the better it will be for me. I seem to have an abundance of yin chakra while also having quite a lot of yang even if it's not as much as my yin. This is Most likely due to my transmigration. As for my Yang… it seems like I'm half Kaguya so it makes sense.'
Cutting off his thoughts Jiyū lays down on the grass and looks up at the moon.
'One day… I'll not only be free from this mark but I will also stand at the pinnacle of this world…' with his resolve hardened and abition lit he turned his gaze over to the two people walking towards him. 'The head of the Hyuga clan, Hiashi Hyuga and…? Who's that brat?' Seeing his Uncle and a little girl who looked 3 years younger then him, the confusion on his face must of shown as, Hiashi gave him a small smile. "You must be Jiyū, I've heard a lot about you from Hizashi. This is my second daughter, Hanabi Hyuga," looking to the small kid staring at him Jiyū searched his memory for any mention of Hiashi having another daughter. 'Seems my memories are still fragmented, I can remember Naruto's wife Hinata but not this Hanabi… this is strange she should be the same age as Hinata from what I can see. I don't remember Hinata having a twin… must of been my being here changing things.' Looking away from the wide eyed looking brat Jiyū stared at his uncle for a bit with a neutral expression on his face, making his uncle slightly confused.
"Is something wro-" as Hiashi tried voicing his confusion Jiyū cut him off deliberately. "It's good to meet you Uncle I've heard about you from… father." Letting a slight pause before saying father Jiyū sighs internally at his annoyance with the man supposed to be his father.
It was obvious to him that the man has no will to live and the only reason he hasn't taken his life yet is because of Neji. Knowing that Hizashi had already given up and resigned him self to fate Jiyū disdains him. It seems as if Hizashi had picked up on it as he gives a sorrowful smile when ever he looks at him. Jiyū had decided to ignore the man, and although he may not like him he won't to anything to make his little brother Neji sad.
Hiashi raised an eyebrow in what seemed like amusement at being deliberately cut off by this small child who is his nephew, but didn't seem to take it to heart. "Hanabi, say hi to your cousin." Looking at his youngest daughter Hiashi allows a small smile before ushering her towards the still sitting Jiyū. Hanabi, listening to her father walk over to Jiyū and gives him a smile seeing him looking at her. "Hi big brother! I'm Hanabi. Do you want to go play?"
Looking at the little brat bouncing around in excitement and anticipation, Jiyū lets out an annoyed sigh. 'Haaaah~ I can't be bothered taking care of this brat she seems way to hyper for me…' Hanabi not giving him a chance grabbed his hand pulling him up and running off with Jiyū in tow. "Oy, brat. Let me go." Although Slightly annoyed at being towed along by this kid Jiyū doesn't take his hand away and let her drag him along.
"No way! Your coming with me to go play big brother!" Hanabi says with a smile still on her face. "Stop calling me big brother brat I've already got a little brother, and we're just cousins."
Sighing in resignation at knowing his words are going to be denied Jiyū turns back and gives a stink eye to the clearly amused clan head. "Okay~ big brother~" Deciding to humor the kid so she could leave him alone he lets her drag him across the compound while internally thinking about what his future now holds with his newly acquired memories that although fragmented are still helpful, and his Jogan eyes that have allowed him to glimpse the path to freedom.
Pretty long chapter, tbh I don't even know what I was writing I legit just winged it, I wanted to give the mc a advantage but the tenseigan seemed way too op, so I thought about the uchiha clans sharingan evolution and although they got the tomoe stages it would of been a drag to make it like that for the byakugan and also wouldn't of made sense, as the byakugan is the original dojutsu where all the other dojutsu are derived from. Sharingan comes from the byakugan in a way as hagaromo had a byakugan before acquiring his sharingan but the could also be attributed to the divine trees power mingling with his blood. Other otoutsuki all have byakugan which evolved into other dojutsu, like momoshiki being able to see fate and the rinegan on his hand, urashiki with his blue rinegan, ishiki with his weird dojutsu. I'll make the Jogan similar to a mangekyou and only as strong as an eternal by unlocking either a locked ability or being able to remove the downsides which I will be explaining as the story progresses and Jiyū starts using it more.
Jiyū means 自由 'freedom'
