Of course, Elsa Hill couldn't give the answer to Sheena.
Therefore, after the date with Elsa Hill, Sheena chose to pay a visit to the new house that they had moved in.
Sheena didn't pay too much attention to the gifts that the family of Stephan Korade had offered to them, so it was the first time for Sheena to witness the house that Alex Korade had bought for them. For accuracy, it's bought by Stephan Korade.
Stephan Korade didn't talk about this topic with Sheena that Sheena didn't know too much. It's all handled by Stephan Korade communicated with Lena Lim.
The absence of Lena Lim and Evan Hathaway and the busy schedule had all worked together to stop Sheena to get more specific details of these things.
That's the reason why Sheena was standing right at the door and stunned for the giant house that they had bought in the villa area that none of the neighbors would be nobody.
Sheena didn't expect the change would be so earthshaking.
"Wow, you're back!" Lena Lim opened the door and yelled out right at the first sight. Obviously, from the eyes of Lena Lim, Sheena couldn't find the hidden aversion anymore. Of course, Sheena knew the reason exactly.
"How did you know the address?" Lena Lim was surprised Sheena had come without asking for help or notice.
Sheena had to explain that Stephan Korade had told her after she inquired and told her plan. Stephan Korade was surprised that Sheena hadn't been to the new house. However, however curious he was, Sheena didn't tell him the reason.
Something happening inside the family shouldn't be revealed so directly to somebody outside the circle.
"Stephan told me." Sheena smiled and went into the house, quickly followed by Lena Lim.
It's quite a long time since the last meeting, and after all these gifts arranged by the family of Stephan Korade, Lena Lim seemed to bear a different attitude towards Sheena. Lena Lim had tried her best to introduce the house in details very nicely.
"Look, this room is your bedroom, the biggest room in the first floor. As long as you're back, you could sleep here." Lena Lim said with a flattering smile.
Sheena was recalled of the day when Lena Lim chased her out of the bedroom that she had lived since the baby. Sheena could still remember the words Lena Lim had said in front of Cherry Hathaway, "Cherry is going to study hard for the university and please give the bigger room for her to store her books and exercise books, you know, so many…"
"What's more, you've studied in the university, you wouldn't come back often, you could live the original room of mine." Cherry said in a smile of winner.
"Bigger room for Cherry and smaller room for me, is that right?" Sheena gave a force smile back then, but ignored by both Lena Lim and Cherry Hathaway.
Sheena didn't care the room size too much, but the room that Cherry Hathaway was going to rob was decorated by her natural mother. That's the reason why she would be upset for the room change. Of course, she couldn't refuse.
Evan Hathaway didn't stay at home usually and all things had been charged by Lena Lim. As long as Sheena was relying on the family, she had to accept all arrangements that Lena Lim had conducted.
However, after she had an apartment out of the university, even though it's rented, Sheena had felt that's her home, at least she could decide things on her own.
Therefore, when Lena Lim had claimed such a room to be assigned for her, Sheena was surprised. This was a little bit ridiculous.
However, staring at the flattering smile of Lena Lim, Sheena had to be grateful for what she had arranged.
"This is a big house. Congratulations!" Sheena just stood at the door of the room and turned back to look at Lena Lim.
Lena Lim was a little bit embarrassed, but she was cunny enough to cover her embarrassment and said, "that's thanks to you." When saying this, Lena Lim's eyes were sparkling with stars. For the first time that Sheena had seen the thanks in the eyes of Lena Lim.
"You should thank Grandpa Bryant. Grandpa Alex has done all of these to thank what Bryant has done for him in the past." Sheena reminded her the reason.
Lena Lim didn't answer but smiled. After a while, Lena Lim stared at Sheena with confidence. "Girl, don't forget, you're their daughter-in-law now. You deserve it."
"You should know the reason why I have married to Stephan Korade, right?" Lena Lim was the one that should know the fact exactly.
Back then Sheeena had refused the marriage immediately and thoroughly, but Lena Lim had tried all means to stop her after she had conducted a careful check on the background of Alex Korade. When Sheena had denied the decision completely, it had driven Lena Lim almost crazy. However, after a long term of thinking for all reasons, Lena Lim had conceded and proposed the marriage term of three years, which was agreed by both Sheena and Stephan Korade.
Therefore, Lena Lim should be the person knowing the exact situation the most, however, now she was acting like the one wishing this marriage was real.
Lena Lim heard the question of Sheena but didn't plan to take over the topic, she turned to walk to the kitchen and opened the fridge.
"Come on, here're some cakes from the most popular cake shop. Enjoy them." Lena Lim smiled as if a real mother looking at her daughter.
By a glance at the things inside the fridge, Sheena had caught a sight of a lot of things that had been sorted out by category. Sheena was reminded of the scene of the fridge when she was only a child.
When she came back from the primary school, she opened the fridge to find something to eat. But the gambling father didn't give any money to Lena Lim, while in the meantime Lena Lim was making a living by working in the administrative department of a small company, so her salary was so few that the fridge was always empty except some vegetable.
However, when she opened the fridge that day, there was a strawberry cake looked so yummy. Maybe Sheena was so hungry that she had forgotten she was forbidden to take anything from the fridge at will. When she finished the cake, Lena Lim came back and burst into anger. Sheena was beaten to death that afternoon, and Lena Lim claimed the cake belonged to Cherry Hathaway. Lena Lim had claimed that she rewarded that cake for Cherry had gotten a high score in the math examination.
Things seemed to change as the time went, and now Lena Lim had learned to offer her cakes without any hesitation.
"Thank you." Sheena didn't refuse. But after taking sips of that, Sheena had figured out she couldn't get the good taste that she had experienced back then. Maybe it's she had grown up, or she had lost the aptitude to cake.
However, when catching the query face of Lena Lim, Sheena smiled with appreciation, "it tastes good, thank you."
Lena Lim was satisfied with the reaction, she immediately answered with pride, "you didn't know how long I've wait for in the queue. There were so many people queuing up to get them, you know…"
Maybe Lena Lim was alone at home for quite a long time that she was wordy even in front of Sheena.
Sheena was curious, "Doesn't Cherry come back frequently? According to the economic situation of the family, Cherry would not have to worry about the travel expense now."
Lena Lim was depressive after Sheena had raised the topic, she turned to Sheena with a sad face, "you didn't know that, Cherry now is busy in the club life. She has to attend so many activities that she has claimed to only come back at long vocations."
Although Lena Lim seemed to be complaining, she didn't blame Cherry Hathaway at all. This was what Sheena had seen through the eyes of Lena Lim. She had talked with pride and care.
"Wow, so amazing university life." Sheena envied the living attitude of Cherry Hathaway. As a semi-sister, Cherry Hathaway enjoyed a living style that was totally different from hers. When she was in the university, Sheena had to study hard and do part-time jobs to maintain the university expense, while Cherry had to worry nothing but enjoying the university life. On all accounts, Cherry Hathaway had her mother Lena Lim supporting her in the back.
"That's good." Lena Lim looked out of the window with pride, "as long as she is happy, that's good." Lena lim's sight was focused on a woman passing by their front-yard garden.
"That's the woman living there," Lena Lim pointed at the house facing theirs. "I've heard that she has a quite excellent son…" When saying that, Lena Lim's eyes was full of plans.
When Sheena saw such an eye expression was last time when they sat together to talk about Sheena's marriage.
