Chapter 39 - Chapter 39 Offer from Stephan

Sheena was happy for the successful recording of songs, but she just couldn't bear a faith on the expected future just as Luis Smith did.

However, she didn't intend to upset him, so she chose to deny the suspect of Luis Smith, "of course not, I believe in what you've achieved."

"But you just couldn't believe yourself, right?" as if knowing what Sheena was going to say, Luis Smith smiled with care.

Sheena just smiled and didn't respond.

Luis Smith turned to look at the darkness outside the window and knew Sheena wouldn't just be convinced by his words. So Luis Smith just said this and saw Sheena off.

"Thank you for your belief." Sheena knew Luis Smith had his own opinions and understood her so well that he didn't want to force her.

Sheena continued her living routine until one day when she came back from the part-time job and see Stephan was sitting on the sofa, as if having waited for her for long.

"Wow, you've been waiting for me?" Sheena was surprised that Stephan was doing this again. For a man like Stephan, he would only take action when he had the goal, and Sheena didn't know what he was up to do.

In recent days, after Sheena had moved into the house, Stephan didn't interrupt Sheena's routine for showing respect, but now right at the moment, he had to do it.

"Sheena, I had to ask you for a favor." It's seldom see Stephan would hold such a serious face in front of her, so Sheena sat upright on the sofa and waited for the answer, too.

"You might have to quit all those part-time jobs." Stephan had said in a sorry face as if he was unwilling to say so.

Frowning in eyebrows, Sheena couldn't understand why Stephan suddenly just interrupted her life like this without any hints before.

"Are you drunk?" Except getting drunk, Sheena couldn't figure out the reason why he suddenly had acted like a mighty husband now. It's a deal that they just pretended to be a couple in front of others, that's all.

As seeing through Sheena's head and knowing what she is thinking, Stephan shook his head with a sincere and apologizing face, "I'm so sorry, but this time you need to cooperate with me."

Then Stephan explained the whole situation for Sheena.

It turned out that, Alex Korade had agreed Stephan to put his finger on the pie of the medical company of their family. For a man that's targeting getting the heritage, this was completely a piece good news for Stephan Korade.

However, the embarrassing part was that Alex had insisted that this chance for Stephan was at the condition of Sheena going to the company and working as his secretary.

"What? Are you out of your mind?" Sheena didn't know the case would develop in such a direction. "don't you think it's not suitable for me to work in your company?"

Let alone her true relationship with Stephan Korade, she wouldn't be qualified for the post, for she had heard that, even an officer of the company would require an education background of master. As a newly-graduate, Sheena wouldn't expect such an offer even she was the daughter-in-law.

"I know you don't like it this way," Stephan sighed with a depressive expression, "I've figured out you're that kind of girl that you intend to rely on nobody but yourself."

"Working in such a company like ours wouldn't make you happy," Stephan Korade continued the soliloquizing, as if not seeing the embarrassment on the face of Sheena.

Sheena was just a common girl. Working in the biggest company in the city was like a miracle to her own life. And such a miracle was just thrown by the man right in front of her. She should have accepted such an offer without any hesitation, for she just couldn't believe such thing could happen.

"You should know that, the lowest education background of your company even for an officer is the master degree. How come I could accept such an offer, especially when both of us should know the true relationship between us. I shouldn't take advantage of your family even though I would love to accept such a job chance." Sheena sighed with regret and shame. They're in such a different world that they shouldn't be tied together.

However, Stephan Korade was holding the opposite opinion in this case. "You're excellent in the college performance, everyone knows that!" When saying this, Stephan's eyes were sparkling with lights.

Sheena didn't know such a playboy like Stephan Korade had noticed such things back in the school. "Didn't you just idle about and hooking with girls." Although these words might be harsh, these were all expression that Sheena had borne for Stephan Korade.

Narrowing his eyes when hearing the comments from Sheena, Stephan Korade threatened with eyes expression towards Sheena, "I was like this in your mind?"

Responded with a flattering smile, Sheena couldn't say yes. "However, you did think I'm qualified for this?"

Sheena was confident in her own capacities, but she couldn't have faith in others' opinions when they knew she was not a master graduate.

"There is no interview, you should have nothing to fear of." Stephan Korade seemed to see Sheena through again and just claimed the situation.

"Huh?" before this case, Sheena had known that power could conquer a lot. But not until this moment had she realized power could save a lot of trouble when it's related with priority.

"Could it work in this way?" Sheena still suspected the feasibility.

However, Stephan Korade smiled as a winner, "as long as you nod your head, I'll handle the rest. No need to worry about the trivial."

Stephan Korade couldn't hold back his smile as he figured out Sheena was almost persuade to accept the offer.

"Please! Only when you agree with coming with me to work as the secretary can my grandpa give me the chance of acting as a director of the marketing department. As long as I've proved myself strong enough to handle the business myself, he would agree in giving me the majority stocks." Stephan Korade pleaded with sincerity.

"I'll accept this offer at one condition." Sheena looked at Stephan Korade with a serious face.
