Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: The Luck

Fu Sheng brought Fu Rong and Fu Yichen to their house. Upon entering the familiar house, tears welled up in her eyes. She was chased from this very home. No one pitied her for being an orphan who lost her family. They cared only for the money they could usurp from her. She blinked her eyes and composed herself. It's good to be home again. This time, she would rewrite everything and make them suffer.

"Rong'er, I will bring you to your room. Sleep for some time, and later we will go to the hospital for a detailed check-up," Fu Sheng said as he led her to her room. This was her room. A familiar scent reached her, and she felt relaxed. Fu Sheng caressed her hair and wondered how obedient his daughter was.

Fu Rong looked stunning and resembled her mother. Looking at her face, he remembered his wife and was burdened by the pain. But he also remembered his promise to her. Looking at her petite figure, he wanted to beat up those people who had bullied his daughter. How dare they bully her.

After facing many twists and turns, Fu Rong was drained. She slowly closed her eyes and slept peacefully without any dreams. Seeing his daughter asleep, Fu Sheng went downstairs.

Fu Rong woke up in the evening. After looking around and finding no one there, she felt a pang in her heart. She threw the sheet off her and got down from the bed. "Was it a dream? Did I dream of my dad and brother? Aren't they alive?" She felt like crying and prepared to go out, only to see her brother opening the door.

"Rong'er, are you awake? Let's go down. Dad is waiting for us. Let's go check with the hospital." Seeing her staring at him without moving, Yichen waved his hands in front of her face and touched his own to check if there was something wrong. "Rong'er, do I look very handsome? Are you stunned by my beauty?" he joked. Fu Rong smiled at this distraction. She freshened up and went down with her brother.

Reaching the hospital, she was thoroughly checked by the doctor. Only after confirming she was fine did they take her back. Even after coming home, Fu Rong was confused. In her past life, she had suffered a concussion, and it had affected her eyesight. But now, when the doctor checked, she was fine.

She found a pocket knife and made a small cut on her finger. Miraculously, it closed immediately without leaving a scar. "Wow. It looks like I never made any cuts. Is this a new power after being reborn?" She realized all her injuries were healing at a fast rate since her rebirth. Maybe it was the result of her cultivation and rebirth.

Sitting in her room, Fu Rong was in somewhat of a trance when she saw the pink-colored wallpaper that decorated the walls. She had personally arranged everything in the room – all of which reflected her preferences. Whatever happened this morning was like a nightmare, but she knew that it had really happened. She had really died and spent 1,000 years of her life as a ghost. She knew even more clearly that she was no longer the simple and cowardly Rong'er, but a vicious and merciless Daoist Celestial Master with high cultivation, feared and revered by all.

She looked at the date on her mobile. It was exactly a week after her luck had been stolen. This was the time when her family began to fall into a tragic end. There were two ways to steal luck: one was in physical form, commonly used, and could be borrowed from jade pendants, qi from artifacts, and so on, which were, according to standards, less powerful and could only last 1 to 3 years.

The latter method involved human form, where a person's luck was stolen directly. This method was much more powerful. As long as the person was still alive, their luck could be stolen for the rest of their life. Bai Yan and her mother used the second method to live in fortune. Fu Guhua found a warlock who suggested stealing her luck for Bai Yan and using her golden qi body as a human cauldron.

Instead of being wary of the witches, she had voluntarily delivered herself to their doorstep when her father was busy with work. A week after the warlock performed the rituals, in order to achieve full results and disrupt the power that was stopping them from hurting her, Bai Yan tried to snatch her pendant. When she refused, she was pushed.

Her aunt never allowed her to go to the hospital, and her father was too busy with work to return. She was a timid girl, so she never told her father about them bullying her. After a month, her father died in an accident, leaving her and her brother in her aunt's care, giving them full opportunity to hurt her.

Her brother, who loved her so much and sacrificed everything for her, suddenly became mad and committed suicide by jumping from a building. She still remembers his last smile, as though he was being relieved from the devil's clutches. Now, as a Celestial Master, she couldn't help but recall that something had been wrong with her brother, as though he had been possessed. Fu Rong clenched her teeth in anger.

From an angel-like beauty, she turned into a hideous monster with a face full of pustules. She couldn't even find a decent job after her brother's death. She worked all the odd jobs, from toilet cleaner to begging on the street, living a homeless life.

It was by accident that she discovered her luck had been stolen by Bai Yan. She happened to see Bai Yan in the restaurant where she worked as a toilet cleaner. Bai Yan's appearance had completely changed, from a poverty-stricken dark face filled with pimples to that of a swan-like beauty. When Fu Rong followed her to her private room, she overheard her speaking to her mother about the expiration of the borrowed luck.

Even then, like a fool, she went to confront them, only to be captured by the warlock to become his cauldron. She was fed all kinds of bugs to develop powerful medicine and whipped with a medicine-soaked whip. Her blood was taken every day to test the vigor of the medicine that was developing inside her.

She managed to escape and survived by hiding in ditches for days, barely managing to survive. She lived in constant fear until she met her master, who took pity on her.

Fu Rong's eyes turned cold and red with bloodthirst. "I am going to give back everything you gave to me. Eye for an eye. Wait for my gift," she sneered.
