In a large grassland, there stand a wooden building along with a stable and a house. The area was empty. Only filled with green grass and the three structure. The wind blews and sways the grass into beautiful waves and it compliment to the tranquility the place gives to those who lived there. This Grassy state known as Lothal. One of 13 state of Melloyern.
The two floor wooden building was a bar. Operating normally in this overly isolated land of Magical beast. In the bar, there is a woman in white mourning dress standing behind the counter, wiping the wine glass with a white clothe as those glasses were collecting dust every day since there is less to none costumer every week.
Even that as the fact, the woman who was known as Madam Silence didn't even bother to think about the costumer and keep the bar clean since it was her place and her home for her and her family.
At the main hall of the bar, there sits a guy in blue magician robe and a girl in red sitting at different side of the bar, minding their own business. In front of the guy, there was a glass of green tea and he was in a deep thought until there is another guy in white robe talks to him.
"How are you doing, Black Blade." The guy said and sits by the guy known as Black Blade.
"Very good. What is it?" He look at the guy wearily.
The guy that was known as White laugh a bit to the weariness of Black Blade as he tapped his shoulder in a friendly manner.
" You have a job again. It's related to the crystal from Notherneil." He said and he lean to the chair and relaxed.
"You mean, the crystal. Not the shard?"
"You ain't hear me wrong. The Notherneil Crystal already leave Notherneil border since last night."
"How can you be so sure about this?"
White just wanted to expand the detail but were crossed by the girl in red earlier.
"I've seen it." The girl suddenly speaks as she closed her red thick dictionary like book in her hand.
"You mean it's already written in The Codex, Codex?"
Codex nodded and take her glasses off then look at Black Blade and White.
"I just checked about the info regarding Notherneil crystal and yes. It's indeed already leaving the land of snow." She then stands and walk to Black Blade.
"I see. So, I should be going huh?" He proclaim it before White does.
"Well you know what you should do Black Blade." White chuckles and then walk away to the bar counter with a little word of goodluck.
Codex who was standing by Black Blade's side whisper some spell to herself and then tap his shoulder once. She look at him with her usual indifferent face and say.
"You good to go." She then walk back to the table at the corner of the bar and minding her own business.
Black Blade used to be confused to that behavior but he already get used to it after 3 years facing the same thing everytime he's going out for missions. Codex or her full magician code Red Codex was an adopted child of Black Blade's family. She were found in a broken wagon as a little child.
Madam Silence and White(Black Blade's parents) assumed that the wagon were attack by a pack of Watcher but the watchers didn't found the girl and just attacking her families only. Or they managed to divert the watchers attention away from the girl.
But to be said, Red Codex were raised along with Black Blade and his sister, Jade Ring Master. They already close to each other like siblings years until they becoming a magician. They developed their own personality afterwards. Black Blade becoming a literal minded in the same time always thinks too much in unfamiliar situation, while Codex becoming a stoic and indifferent to all and just seems to care only for her red thick book known as The Codex.
Back to the matter at hand, Black Blade get to the stable and bring his horse out. He then put all his belongings into the leather bag hanging to the saddle he used on the horse.
"It's been a while since last we had a job together, Bladge." He said to his horse while caressing the horse face.
The horse gives him a happy niegh and then galloped out the stable. He then ride the horse and they start moving towards northen border of Lothal in haste.
"This trip alone should take about four days of riding. Hope you up to this." He said as he keep his eye to the grassy plain they were crossing on.
"*Neigh*" The horse keep galloping on the grass as the sun straight on their head.
At the same time in somewhere distant. Stand a small town surrounded by stone walls and thick rain forest. In the town, there is a workshop belongs to a twin by name Ekiu Libria and Equi Libria. Ekiu was the younger brother of Equ(Short form of Equi).
The two runs a woodcarving workshop and they really good at it. Equ usually works on detailed carving while Ekiu do the rough carving on the wood. In term of looking for wood in the woods, They work together. They both were a magician and both good by their own way in using and ultilizing the power they had.
But, earlier this morning, Equ opens the mail box to found out a letter with a Royal Seal on it. She saw her brother's name and quickly ran for it to give the letter to him. Ekiu was in his working room, cutting a big log into smaller box shape for later carving work were shocked by Equ's sudden barge in the room.
"Sis! You feaked me out! What with that face?" He put down his axe on the table and wipe his sweat.
"There is a letter for you, Ekiu."
She grins and handed the letter to her brother before slowly stepping out the room. She let out a giggles before speaking.
"That was Risidom's Royalty Letter so, you better take the detail deeply." She give a little wave and walk out the room and closed the door.
Ekiu sigh deeply before carefully open the letter. Thinking about Royalty stuff mostly from Risidom not into his liking. Not until he reads the details and read about the reward he was offered. The letter contains about a commision from a Royalty from Risidom. The detail regarding the mission were not stated yet but he was on fire.
Before he realised it, his older sister were leaning againts the door frame smirking.
"So, you're going?"
"Well yeah! Why not? We should be packing out now."
"What do you mean we?" Equ looks at him with a smile.
"Uh... Oh..." He then realized about something.
When a commision were appointed to a person. Only that person allowed to do the thing. In short, Ekiu need to go alone and Equ cannot go along with him or there will be consequenses for not abiding the letter. Plus the letter didn't mention Equ's name so it was a risk to go along with him.
For another next second, he were sighing heavily and starts to pack his belongings for the work. Equ just giggles behind and then helping him packing his thing.
