Our manager's demeanor has transformed, as if he has suddenly developed a profound appreciation for us, all because Camille successfully recruited Lester to our company.
"I've been saying this for a while, Camille. You're undoubtedly the most exceptional editor we have here. Well done, once again," he praises Camille with an expansive smile.
It's clear that Camille is taken aback by his words, as his behavior has undergone a remarkable shift towards us.
He then directs his attention towards me. "And here we have our other top-notch editor! You've managed to secure a writer who chose you as his editor." Am I suddenly the best?
With a concerted effort, I manage a polite smile and respond, "Thank you, Sir."
He proceeds to address the rest of the staff. "Lester Lambert will be arriving at our company today. I expect all of you to ensure his complete satisfaction."
"Yes, Sir," comes the unanimous reply from the employees.
