After establishing his new nation and successfully founding the Land of the Heavens, Akai decided to use the new white character card that he had received as a reward from the system. But before activating the card, he took a moment to reflect on the mechanics of this card system.
The system was an irreplaceable tool that had accompanied Akai since his reincarnation into this new world. It had a variety of functions that went beyond mere support. The most important of these was the card system, which allowed him to summon people and resources from other worlds and universes to execute his plans. Each card represented a unique person or resource that could be of great significance to his goals.
There were several types of cards, each representing different levels of power and skill:
1. White cards – These represented civilians. They could be scientists, ordinary workers, or people without special combat abilities. White cards were the most common and easiest to obtain.
2. Yellow cards – People on the level of Genin or basic military strength. These individuals had basic knowledge of martial arts or other useful skills.
3. Purple cards – People on the level of Chūnin, possessing more advanced abilities. These cards often represented experts in a particular field or powerful fighters.
4. Black cards – Individuals on the level of Jōnin, often veterans or masters of their craft with exceptional skills and experience.
5. Red cards – Elite fighters or leaders with supernatural powers, often on the level of a Kage.
6. Gold cards – The rarest and most powerful cards, representing beings that existed beyond human limits. They included legends like Yamamoto Genryūsai or other near-godlike figures.
In addition to the character cards, there were also turquoise-colored special cards that allowed the summoning of entire organizations or institutions. These cards were incredibly rare and invaluable, as they could summon not just individuals but entire institutions or military forces at once.
The cards were available in the system shop, but the more powerful ones were beyond what Akai could afford at the moment. Yamamoto Genryūsai, for instance, would have cost billions of points, but Akai had received him as an extraordinary reward. The system shop also offered gacha pulls, where, with some luck, valuable cards or even gold cards could be drawn.
Akai smiled at the thought of the incredible possibilities this system offered him. But before thinking too far ahead, he activated the white character card that floated before him in the air.
A soft, mysterious light illuminated the card as it was activated. Slowly, the figure of a young girl, around 16 or 17 years old, with shoulder-length, slightly wavy brown hair, appeared before Akai. She wore a simple yet elegant white coat and had a confident, though slightly melancholic aura.
"That's..." Akai couldn't help but smile as he recognized the person. It was none other than Shiho Miyano, also known as Sherry, the brilliant scientist from the universe of Detective Conan. She was the creator of the infamous APTX 4869, a poison that had even reverted her own age.
Shiho glanced around briefly and then quietly observed Akai. Her eyes held that sharp, analytical look Akai immediately recognized. Although she came from another world, she seemed to adapt surprisingly well to the new environment. Her cool, calculated demeanor was unmistakable.
"Shiho Miyano," Akai said, having recovered from his initial surprise. "It's a pleasure to welcome you to my nation."
Shiho remained cool, but nodded respectfully. "You're Akai, I presume? I've heard that I'm now in your world. What exactly do you expect from me?"
Akai studied her for a moment and decided there was no need to beat around the bush. "You're one of the most brilliant scientists I know. I want to make you the head of the research and science department of my nation. Your skills and knowledge could take us far."
Shiho seemed surprised for a moment, then a smile slowly crept onto her lips. "I see you know who I am. Good. But at least here, I won't have to be on the run all the time. And since my sister is dead, there's nothing tying me back." Her eyes softened with a hint of sorrow as she realized that in this new world, she no longer had to fear the organization. "Then, I'll do my best."
Akai nodded, satisfied. Shiho was a valuable addition to his nation, and he knew that with her intelligence and abilities, she would play a leading role in the development of scientific progress.
He turned to Tashigi. "Please show Shiho around and take her to her quarters. She'll settle into her work soon."
Tashigi nodded respectfully. "Of course, Akai-sama." She led Shiho out to familiarize her with the surroundings.
After the two left the room, Akai decided to take a look at the system shop. He knew the shop offered a wide variety of items and characters, but he was curious to see exactly what was available.
The shop interface opened before him, and he was immediately greeted by an overwhelming array of items and cards. There was everything one could imagine—everyday items like kitchen knives, pillows, or tools, as well as powerful artifacts, weapons, and abilities. Akai quickly realized that the shop was a reflection of the entire multiversal reality. Everything that had ever existed or could exist was available here.
His eyes then moved to the character cards. He recognized names like Garp, priced at 1 trillion points. Akai couldn't help but grin. The prices of these powerful characters were far beyond what he could currently afford. Characters like Beerus, the God of Destruction from Universe 7, were also listed—for a whopping 900 trillion points. Akai almost felt his eyes pop out of his head. It was absurd to think he could ever accumulate that many points to buy such characters.
With a resigned but amused smile, his lips twitched. "That's probably out of my reach for now," he muttered.
However, his gaze then fell on the gacha option. For 100 points, he could make a random pull, with the guarantee of receiving a gold card on every tenth draw. That sounded far more attainable. The thrill of chance enticed him. If he couldn't directly buy the most powerful characters, perhaps luck would be on his side with the gacha draws. After all, he had been lucky enough to get a second chance with wishes. So, he decided to bet on his luck.
Without hesitation, Akai opted for a ten-pull. It was a manageable risk, and the prospect of a guaranteed reward made it an enticing option.
As Akai leaned back and pressed the gacha button, he eagerly awaited what the system would grant him next. His eyes fixed on the screen as he held his breath, the system lights flickering as the draws began.
