Not even two steps away, the car window rolled down.
Seeing Sawyer's smile as he casually waved made Abigail's own smile bloom. "Hi, Sawyer; why are you parked here? The parking lot at that building is full?" she asked.
"I didn't visit the building next door. I park here because I came to see you," Sawyer replied calmly.
Abigail felt her knees go weak at his words, too shocked by his casual response.
"So, you're waiting for me?"
"Yes," Sawyer said, unfastening his seatbelt and stepping out of the car.
As Sawyer approached her, Abigail struggled to calm her nerves. Before she could say anything, he was already standing before her.
"I want to claim my coffee latte, Abby. I hope you don't mind preparing it for me today."
Sawyer's amused smile crossed his lips as he saw her gasp; she looked surprised.
Abigail couldn't find her voice but nodded eagerly in response.
