Eclipse stood tall at the door, a proud look in her eyes.
Her slender fingers twirled a lock of her hair, and in the face of all the accusations, she merely smirked.
Her beauty and grace made many guys in the room sit up and take notice.
Even though they knew that Eclipse had a bad reputation, her looks and attitude were simply captivating.
Mrs. Jade seemed determined to defend Eclipse.
With a cold expression, she turned to Jessica.
"Eclipse wouldn't have hit someone for no reason. Jessica, can you tell me why Eclipse suddenly hit you?"
Then, standing next to Robert, a handsome young man with sharp eyebrows and bright eyes suddenly spoke up. "Miss Eclipse didn't mean to hit Miss Jessica when she came in. It was Miss Jessica who walked over and said something to provoke her."
Jessica's face went even paler, and her lips lost all color. She looked like she was about to faint. "What do you mean, Sixth Young Master?" she asked.
Robert shouted angrily, "Jason!"
Jason looked at Robert, his tone still cool. "I didn't mean anything. I'm just stating what everyone here saw."
"What Jason said is true," another guy with a drink chimed in. He smiled at Eclipse. "Miss Eclipse's beauty caught all of our attention. It looked like First Miss Rocelyn intentionally provoked her into a fight."
With one sentence, all eyes turned to Jessica. The scene that had just unfolded seemed to support her words.
Upon hearing the voices defending Eclipse, Jessica's eyes quickly filled with tears.
She bit her lip and looked at Eclipse with a mix of fragility and remorse, her voice choking as she spoke: "Eclipse, I know I ruined your wedding with Robert. You hate me and will never forgive me... But I've really been worried about you..."
As she spoke, her voice trailed off, as if she couldn't continue.
Her words hinted at the scandalous "promiscuity" that Eclipse had caused at the wedding.
Eclipse's eyes remained calm and collected. Her slender fingers brushed over her eyebrows and eyes as her voice turned cold. "Mrs. Jade, my time is precious. It's not for watching Jessica's performance here."
Mrs. Jade took a deep breath and made a decision almost instantly.
"Eclipse, Auntie said she won't let you suffer any more grievances!" She shot Jessica a cold glance. "Since you won't speak up, Auntie will have to check the surveillance footage. Everyone will see who's right and who's wrong."
Jessica's eyes reddened. "Auntie..."
Mrs. Jade cut her off, her eyes icy. "Jessica, if you say you haven't wronged Eclipse, then don't be afraid as long as you've done nothing wrong. Why worry about what others think?"
Jessica's hand, which was on her chest, tightened slightly. She sniffled and looked at Robert with tears in her eyes. "Robert..."
Checking the surveillance footage wouldn't harm Eclipse, who had a notorious reputation.
But for Jessica, a beautiful and wealthy young lady, it was nothing short of humiliation. It clearly indicated that her mother doubted her character.
Robert's face darkened as he clenched his fists, ready to intervene when he heard Mrs. Jade's sharp command, "Robert, shut up! Eclipse is your fiancée, and if you can't remember that, then get out of the Jade Family!"
This was a heavy blow. Robert's mother had never spoken to him like this in public before.
It must be because Eclipse had made some unreasonable demands again. She was becoming more and more demanding.
He glared coldly at Eclipse, who stood at the door with a graceful posture, not even looking at him.
Her beautiful face showed impatience, and if it weren't for his mother holding her back, she might have turned and left at any moment.
Suddenly, Robert realized that if Eclipse really left today, it would be even harder to get that twenty percent stake in the Rocelyn Family.
Someone spoke up. "Robert, Aunt just said that Eclipse is your fiancée. You don't trust her and instead help Jessica accuse and humiliate her. If I didn't know better, I would think that Jessica was your true love."
Robert was annoyed and shot a glare at the guy. "Jason, shut up!"
But Jason ignored him and turned to Jessica, his eyes full of sarcasm. "Jessica, Eclipse is my cousin's fiancée. You can cry to anyone else here, but don't make a scene in front of your sister's fiancé. It's not good for anyone."
Jessica's face turned pale, and she lowered her head to hide her anger.
She couldn't understand why Mrs. Jade and Robert were defending Eclipse so fiercely.
