Chapter 25 - Why Is Everyone Supporting Eclipse ?

Eclipse looked at Mr. Jade with a cold stare, but after a few seconds, she softened and smiled. "Since Grandpa Jade has spoken, I can't stay mad. But, Grandpa, I hope this doesn't happen again."

Mr. Jade nodded, understanding what she meant. Robert Jade had treated Eclipse badly for a long time.

Ruining the wedding was already a terrible thing for a girl like Eclipse.

Sure, there were rumors about her, but Mr. Jade knew better than to believe them.

The drama in the Jade family wasn't really his business, though.

With Jessica as part of the Rocelyn family, he thought things would settle down.

But now, it was clear Eclipse had more going on, especially with that man who got her the expensive diamond.

Mr. Jade gave Robert a sharp look, clearly disappointed.

He smiled at Eclipse and said, "Don't worry. With me around, nobody will mess with you again. Jason, take Eclipse to see me."

Jason walked up to Eclipse, bowing a bit and holding out his hand. "Miss Eclipse, welcome. Please follow me."

Eclipse smiled and walked gracefully toward the main seat in her fancy high heels.

The crowd was quiet, watching this girl they once thought had nothing now being treated with respect by the Jade family.

They couldn't believe it.

As Eclipse walked past Jessica and Robert, she stopped, tilting her head slightly, her smile turning cold. "Move. Who do you think you are?"

Jessica never expected that. As the most important girl in the Rocelyn family, no one ever spoke to her like that.

Eclipse just laughed coldly and kept walking.

Jessica, already in pain, felt even worse when Eclipse bumped into her hard, making her stumble.

She hit the ground, embarrassed again.

Mrs. Rocelyn was too busy glaring at Eclipse to help Jessica, so Jessica just lay there, trying not to cry.

She looked up, seeing Eclipse walking away, tall and proud.

Compared to her own messy appearance, it was like night and day.

Jessica lowered her head, hiding her anger.

Meanwhile, Robert had been humiliated over and over. First, his mom scolded him, then his dad hit him.

Even his grandpa was disappointed. It was easy to see how upset everyone was.

He stared at Eclipse's back, feeling confused.

Was this the same girl who used to follow him everywhere, agreeing with everything he said?

Mr. Jade turned to the guests, trying to keep things polite. "Please forgive us for any problems tonight. Let's enjoy the party."

Everyone nodded, glancing at Eclipse, and slowly spread out.

Mr. Jade shot Robert a cold look and walked away. "If anyone causes more trouble tonight, don't blame me for getting mad!"

"Someone, take Miss Jessica to rest!" he added.

With that, Mr. Jade left, and Mrs. Rocelyn helped Jessica up. She looked at her daughter's bruised face, feeling both angry and sad. She was about to yell at Eclipse, but Jessica stopped her. "Mom, just help me change my clothes," Jessica said, her voice shaking.

Robert watched Jessica limp away, feeling a bit guilty.

He wanted to go after her, but Mrs. Jade's angry voice stopped him. "Robert, stay right there!" He froze, watching Jessica leave, confused.

Up on the stage, Eclipse stood with a glass of red wine in her hand, watching Robert and Jessica go.

A cold smile played on her lips.

Jason, standing nearby, frowned. "Eclipse, don't let them get to you."

Eclipse took a sip of her wine and smirked. "I'm not upset at all." Why would she care about Robert anymore? The Eclipse who cared for him was long gone.

She lowered her eyes, hiding the coldness and pity inside.

Watching Robert ignore her and side with Jessica used to hurt her.

But now? Now, Eclipse was done with the pain.

They didn't deserve her tears.

She suddenly felt a tightness in her chest and set her glass down. "I need some air," she said to Jason, walking away.

Jason watched her go, his eyes filled with concern. "That man isn't worthy of you... don't waste your heart on him anymore," he muttered to himself.

Eclipse walked out into the quiet garden, placing her hand over her chest.

She took a deep breath, trying to calm down. "I don't know why I ever liked him," she whispered to herself, "but he's not worth it."

Just then, she felt an arm wrap around her waist.

Her eyes went cold, and she was about to pull away when a familiar voice whispered in her ear, "Feeling unwell?"
