His harsh word stirred me and I jerked my head up.
"What's that supposed to mean?" I shot back, storming out of the elevator.
He halted his step and swieveled his head towards me with a lazy expression on his face. "A slut." He shrugged like he said nothing serious.
"Wufff..." I puffed out the anger steaming in me.
'he's still your boss.' my subconscious whispered to me and I nodded, calming my ragging nerves.
"Why did you call me that, sir?" I inquired but instead of a reply, a sly smile spread across his luscious lips.
'ugh..' His stupid smirk drew me in, making my pulse quicken and my stomach flip.
'Why's my goddamn heart betraying me for this dumbass jerk?'
"Snap out!" I whispered authoritatively to myself.
"Sir." I called his attention and he gave me the side-eye but still I continued. "Using derogatory language is highly unprofessional and you must be aware, sir."
