Third POV:
Yu Mei-Ren, also known as consort Yu, needed to use all his strength at the moment.
Because it was taking her everything she has to hold back the tears.
She watched from a distance as the battle took place and where her husband decided to die. She aske-no, BEGGED him to change his mind, but he didn't budge.
Her husband, Xiang Yu, was doing what he believed was best for this country as a whole, yet humans dubbed him a 'Demon general', and are doing everything they can to defeat him.
Yu knew that this was in fact her husband's intention. It was all going exactly like he wanted, but that didn't mean she had to like it, not one bit.
She watched the battle from a distance, following her husband's request to leave but refusing to go without seeing it through.
Biting her lips, Yu managed stop herself from outright crying as she saw her husband drop, the wounds getting to him, but she still couldn't hold back the tears anymore.
She watched as the battle started to settle down after her husband's death. She wanted to go there and cover the entire battlefield with blood, but she knew doing that would go against what her husband worked to create.
"Ahahahaha!" Yu blinked in surprise as she heard the most stereotypical evil laugh she can imagine.
She watched as something began forming from the smoke of battle. A large figure that was covered in cloth and a hood came out from the smoke right above her husband. Through the cloth and hood, fire would leak out.
"Thank you, humans! You have freed me from this host and gave me freedom!" The figure said, motioning to Xiang Yu's body.
"W-What are you?" One of the humans asked.
"I am the Demon that was controlling Xiang Yu! I used him as a puppet and you were never the wiser!" The stranger said.
"Xiang Yu was being controlled by a Demon!?" One of the humans yelled in shock.
Yu wanted to kill that human in particular. The idea that her husband can ever be controlled by something as weak as a Demon was outrageous.
Plus, the stranger didn't give off the energy of a Demon, but humans can't know that. She already worked out that they were most likely an Elemental, but what they were doing and why they were doing it eluded her.
"Indeed! How else do you think he achieved so much? Now, to pick my new host from you pathetic humans!" The stranger yelled.
The humans began scurrying around while raising their weapons. One of the archers pulled back a flaming arrow and shot, striking the cloth in the shoulder.
"Aaaah! It burns!" The stranger grabbed his shoulder and gave an obviously - to Yu at least - fake cry of pain. "Have you been blessed by the gods! Curse you, humans!"
"F-fire! Its weakness is fire! Keep shooting arrows!" One of the humans yelled and the archers followed through.
Yu did not know how to feel.
Should she feel bad for the stranger because of their terrible acting skills? Or should she feel bad for the humans because they actually fell for it.
Soon enough, the stranger, or at least the cloth covering them, completely burned and vanished in the wind. The humans began celebrating while Yu was still wondering what just happened.
She sensed the Elemental began to reform somewhere nearby, so she immediately went to where he was going to show up. She reached the place just as the Elemental finished reforming from wind.
POV Zack:
Well, that should take care of that.
Thousands of years and I still need to work on my acting. Thank god Gil never saw this... At least, I think he didn't. You never know with his Clairvoyance.
Well, I hope he didn't.
"Who are you!?" I heard someone cry out and I turned around to stare at Yu Mei-Ren.
"I think this should make it obvious," I said while pointing at the mark of Archtype Earth.
She tensed and her eyes widen as any sign of hostility she had immediately died out. "... why did you do that?" She asked.
"So, you WANT your husband's reputation to be tarnished?"
"No, obviously not, but I'm asking why?" Yu shook her head but still glared at me.
I just shrugged my shoulders. "I may not have been able to stop what happened to him, but I at least was able to stop the humans from believing he was completely evil. As for Why I did it, I just don't like to see someone like him not getting something in return for all his hard work."
I knew about Xiang Yu and why he did everything he did. I also knew that I could never convince him to rethink or to take my help, so the least I can do is make sure humanity doesn't hate him that much.
"Now, I want you to answer a couple of questions of my own," I said as I crossed my arms. "First and foremost, where's Brunestud?"
"I don't know what you're-"
"Please look at this mark again before you try to play dumb," I cut her off as I motion to the mark of Archtype Earth a second time. "You're one of the beings created from the deal with him, no? So don't embarrass yourself."
Yu glared at me before clicking her tongue. "Tch. I don't know where he is," she groaned as she looked away.
"He did come to see me once, but that was centuries ago when he came to Earth. I can tell that he's around, and by 'around' I mean on this planet, but that's all I know."
Well, so much for getting information on Crimson Moon. Honestly, I wanted to know where he is so I can avoid him.
"What's your second question?" Yu asked.
"Can you teach me Chinese?"
Yu blinked for a couple of times. "What?"
(A/N: This chapter was moved here.
I wanted to say a few things as we start this Arc. This is the Chinese Arc where Zack's 2nd student will show up(they are added for character development, not the same reason as Svend):
First off, the Norse Arc was never meant to be THAT long, In fact, I never even had plans to add Svend. I just added him on a whim. I always planned to add a Norse Arc, but it was supposed to be short, However, I was eager for the Buddha meeting and forgot about it. XD
Yggdrasil is based on Digimon Yggdrasil. And Svend is based on a combination of K'sante and Braum, both of which are from LoL.
Second, one of you guys asked about Medusa's NP and her sisters' divinities:
Stheno stated for a fact that she and her sisters are actually low ranked goddesses, and that they are actually stronger as servants than they were in life. As for Medusa's NP, because of her legend(the one that was changed for Zack), she can summon beasts made of wood, stone, or metal depending on the beast she wants to Summon. Stronger beasts will require more pure and larger quantities of these materials.
And lastly, one of you guys asked for the romance and pairing:
The closest thing to a pairing is Medusa, and it was stated Zack refused sexual advances of anyone else,
like Scathach. His relationship with Yggdrasil is that of family.
Well, without further ado, thank you for reading my story. I hope my lack of Chinese knowledge won't screw me over. XD Please comment, review, and give me your
thoughts on the story.)
