After a few more battles and defenses, Nasiah managed to drive away House Yuseff's forces near the base. He spared them all, and they had to be sent to multiple campsites nearby that he took back.
Forenus made sure to collect as many correspondences as possible, ensuring he had as many angles covered for the next battle.
Forcas joined in with Nasiah every now and then, but she served as his tutor in combat, teaching him by example along the way.
Musa always stood by the sidelines; even if he was blind, he oversaw his actions and how he treated his Magick. He always ensured it was used properly.
Myrym made sure to keep track of the prisoners that came to their camp. She was going to need their help soon when the time came for it.
When the day was over, several miles of land were reclaimed and defended from the forces of House Yuseff. Nasiah's training was successful and they all returned back to the base at night.
There, Forenus gathered them all by the command center and told them of what was to come. He would have rather not have Myrym there, but he had to tell Nasiah, and there would be no way that Nasiah would not tell his mother, so he might as well not keep any secrets.
"Thanks to the many letters and documents we have retrieved. I found out that in about a week's time, there would be a massive assault upon my region, Nahar. This shall be conducted by a Knight of House Yuseff, Jossel Argon, otherwise known as the Sky Cleaver."
Myrym remembered Jossel, he was a rather tall and lanky man who carried a cleaver almost longer than himself.
He was quite slow on the battlefield but made up for it with sheer power in his blows that could slay cities.
"So we have a week's time to prepare, or rather."
Forenus looked to Nasiah. "You have a week's time to get ready. This shall be your most dangerous task yet. If you do this, most of, if not all, of House Yuseff's forces would be in shambles from the battle and the retreat afterward."
The little boy tilted his head. "Which means that I would have fulfilled the deal?"
Forenus gave him a nod, to which Nasiah returned. "Understood."
Forcas laughed, rubbing her hand on the boy's head, earning a glare from Myrym. "It won't be that easy, little man. You're going to have to take down a full army. The numbers we faced today would be paltry compared to the real deal."
She had confidence that he would win, though. The she-wolf saw what he could do, and it was just amazing.
Nasiah's eyes sparkled. "Wow, so there could be hundreds to thousands of soldiers. That's incredible; I can't wait to recruit them all one day!"
Forcas stifled a laugh. The boy's innocence was extremely adorable. She would love nothing more than to hear him prattle on about his lofty dreams and ambitions.
Myrym smiled, for she believed that he would, in fact, recruit them all one day.
Musa patted the boy's head. "But are they not your enemies?"
Nasiah nodded. "But that does not mean they can be my allies later on."
Forenus turned to face the window. This was a mission of utmost importance. For the sake of his people, they must win.
"For the next seven days, we shall ensure you are in top shape and performance, mentally, physically, and spiritually. We have no time to waste. Are you ready, Nasiah?"
The boy gave a nod, a wide smile on his face. "I'm ready!"
Forenus gestured to the outside world, a determined look on his face.
"Then let us begin."
---------
The hours turned into days as Nasiah ventured out into the world again and again, defeating and capturing squads and regiments of armies, reclaiming the land as well as reinstating the control that Forenus had over his region.
He would be accompanied by Musa, Forcas, and Myrym as Forenus was busy establishing supply lines and connections to the other bases, informing them of the incoming attack.
The Great Count also went in search of any materials needed to create and upgrade Nasiah's future armor.
One thing was needed above all: a way to aid in his Magickal abilities. In this, he inquired This problem to Musa while he was training with Nasiah by a water stream.
"Ah, I know what you would need." Musa nodded his head as he gestured in Nasiah's general direction.
"Come, you will need to see this." With that ominous statement, he ran in the direction of the valley where they originally found him. The other two followed suit without hesitation.
It was not long until they reached it, finding Musa right under the tree that stood tall and firm in between two cliffs.
Nasiah looked around, finding mystical threads that seemed to shimmer brightly. He smiled and sparkled at the sight.
Musa, on the other hand, collected several tree branches that have fallen off over time. He then presented it to Forenus.
"There we go. This is a special type of wood, fallen from these Sage Trees. Since it was made in the image of the Aetree, the branches represent laws and powers that were fully connected to the Aetree itself. Therefore, something that the young man can use perfectly well."
He held it out in front of Nasiah. "Try to manipulate it."
The boy began to pluck at the strings from the branch, many with the Names of "Density," "Air Resistance," and so on around it. He found it much easier to manipulate it, just like the ones he weaved earlier.
"Wow, it's so light and fluffy!" He spun around with them like a child with a toy.
Forenus nodded, realizing this was the material he needed. "Wonderful, we will need it all."
With that, he snapped his fingers, causing all the water vapor in the air to levitate the fallen branches.
He turned and, when he made sure that this was all they needed, left with the others to head back into the base to finally finish Nasiah's equipment and get fully prepared for the battle to come once and for all.
