At once, up to 20 royal guards rushed in, there was and in the middle of them, the king be seen. Everyone quickly bowed, but Derkile took a quick look at the king.
He was dressed in flowing blue robes, the robes had some small magic stones used to decorate it , which made the robe have such a magnificent glow, it matched with the king eyes which was also blue, he had black well jelled hair.
But the most amazing thing Derkile admired, was the crown on the king's head. The crown was a somehow dark green colour, it was completely carved out of a magic stone.
The way the crown shone from afar was quite intimidating, Derkile wished he was part of the royal family, because if he was, he would be able to get any he wanted.
The king sat on the throne placed on the platform, two guards by his sides.
He surveyed the crowd and the gave a flick of his finger, and a royal guard Rush to his side, holding a piece of paper.
He gave it to the king, who focused his eyes on it, and after a while, he nodded his head and signalled for the guard to go. He then cleared his throat.
" Eh- em,. Good day everyone, as you all know, I am king Rigurd, the present king of Mehato kingdom, and I gathered you all here for the royal army selection , which goes on every year". The king said, taking a quick pause.
" As you should have all known, not everyone will be selected to be a soilder as we only need the best of you. After this announcement all of you shall be taken to the place where you shall stay till the next two days when the selection shall take place".
The king said, about to finish his speech.
" I guess I have nothing else to say, so all that is left now to say is to tell you to prepare well , as this year's selection will be more tougher than you think".
The king said ending it, he stood up from the throne and the with royal guards accompanying him , he left the platform into the castle, which was nearby.
The strange scent he smelt earlier also disappeared.
' it seems like the scent was coming from the king '. Derkile thought.
" Okay, so that was quick".
A figure near Derkile mouthed out, as soon as the king was gone. It seemed like it was the short guy with whom they had a short conversation earlier.
" Maybe it's time to introduce myself. My name is Bane, what's yours?".
It's seemed like this guy wanted to form a quick relationship with Derkile . The latter had noticed this but decided to play along . The look on the guys face looked as if he was smart so Derkile thought he could be of great use one day.
" My name is Derkile, nice to meet you ". Derkile replied , him out his hand for an handshake.
Bane stared at Derkile with a bright face before he grabbed his hand and shaked.
' this guy looks like he knows something, he may be useful sometime, maybe he can know about what happened to me'. Derkile thought.
Just then another guard came to the platform and addressed the people .
" I and some other guards will now lead you to where you shall stay before the selection. So you are all to move accordingly in lines".
He said, and some guards spread themselves to each side of the gathering, they took lines and were soon moving towards where they will stay...
While in another place near the Castle, a man was seen watching through the window, the marching participants of the selection.
"I have a feeling this year's selection will be a little bit interesting".
He said. He was wearing a cloak so his face could not be seen.
" You too. I have also been having the same feeling since when they arrived".
Another man inside the building, said. They were in the same room.
The man had a long white beard and emerald green eyes, his jaw was quite large, and his face was fierce. His hair was normal black, and he looked old.
" I felt a strange aura in the gathering, I couldn't get where exactly, but I knew it came from one of them".
The man in the cloak said. The gathering had gone quite far, so he came in and sat on the couch near the other man.
The room was dim lighted, and strange smells were all around the place. An orb was on a table near them.
" Maybe it's a dark sorcerer, we should do something about it".
The man with the beard said.
" No, it isn't a dark sorcerer, the aura was different, there is no way I wouldn't know if it was a dark sorcerer, even if they were hiding the aura".
He said, continuing .
" We should probably leave this alone, it doesn't look like a threat in my eyes, and we don't want the king hollering at us for something not true".
" Well, if that's what you think, then maybe we should let it go for now".
" Good".
Suddenly the orb on the table started glowing red, shaking violently, they immediately understood what it meant.
" The king wants to see us right now".
The beard man said.
" Well then, let's go, shall we?"
The cloaked man said, and the other man nodded, he raised his right hand up and it started to glow white.
They then vanished from the room, appearing, in another room, this time more light, and some others people were in the room. The king was seen sitted on his gold glittering throne, he seemed to be angry. His face was red. They bowed down looking at the ground.
" Good now you are here. Now let me ask you this, do you know the secret yellow Stone of power, I told you to keep?!"
The king said, addressing the man with white beard . He was going angrier every second.
" Yes my king, you told me to keep it in Mehato forest, where no one could get there. I even placed it in a no one could think it could be there . Beside a mountain, I couldn't bury it, as you know high level magic stones can't be buried"
He said, his voice shaky.
" Well good of you, it's quite a pleasure to tell you that same magic stone, is the one now reported to be missing!!!"
The king screamed, his face looking as red as hot coal.
" Missing?!!"
The bearded man exclaimed, alarms going off in his head.
" How come??, Is that even possible??"
The cloaked man said, questionly
' The high class level stone, missing??, How was that even possible? "
All this thoughts going on in his head, ' How the king found this legendary powerful stone, and tried to immediately harness it's powers, but he couldn't, and selfishly tried to keep it, and train to harness it's power, but to avoid other kingdoms from noticing it he sent me to keep it the forest of Mehato, it has remained hidden for years, and now it's missing?, This is not good"
The man with beard thought.
" I never thought you, Aromas could be a useless sorcerer"
The king said. The words hit Aromas in his chest.
" Due to your carelessness, we have lost a precious stone to who knows who?!, And if our enemies find it , then we are doomed forever"
The king said, now worried.
" Don't think I will let you go off the hook that easily, since you lost it, then find it!!, Else, the penalties will be great !.
The king warned, he got off the throne and walked out of the room .
" Oh no, where do I start from now, I'm in great trouble!!"
Aromas was now sweaty, the man in cloak also behaving nervous .
"Don't worry buddy, we'll look for it together, let's go home now "
His hand glew white again, and they vanished once again.....
