"Knock, knock, knock!!!" a knocking sound was heard at the door of an house .

It was night and it wasn't normal for anybody to suddenly come and knock at the door of your house especially in his village in Mehato ,so Derkile was a little bit scared to open the door but when the knocking continued he mustered up courage and went to the door.

"Who's there" he asked and a voice replied him.

" this is a message from the king , so open this door now" the person said.

"From the king" Derkile thought, why would the king send a message to him , but then he remembered that there was an expedition going on for any one above 16 as the king was looking for the best soilders to add to his army .

  Derkile was already 17 and he had always wished to be a part of the army for a reason but he decided to keep all this thoughts away and open the door for this man .

  As Derkile opened the door a man with thick looking armour around his body came in and gave him an envelope.

" you are to report to the king palace in the next two days with this" and the man handed him a stone, well no ordinary stone as it was glowing pink .

  It was a magical stone , Derkile knew that he would be handed this as the king's palace was quite far and he would need a magical device to too get there early.

And with that the man left probably to pass the message to another person or people as Derkile was the only living in the house.

He had lost his parents long ago in a war and he had grew up himself.....

  He decided to read the letter . He tore away the envelope and took out a brown paper and began to read.

" Congratulations, you have been chosen to be part of the king's army, as you are now 17 and is ready to join us for your training, you shall report to the king's palace soon, so prepare well".

 Derkile had known that he would be soon chosen as a soilder so he was not really excited.

Derkile had always wished of becoming a soilder to fight those who killed his parents, for revenge.

Derkile went into his room and layed on his bed letting all the memories flood back to him... Earth was once a wonderful place, there was magic, everywhere was beautiful , there was peace every where until people learnt a dark side of magic and soon a war broke out between good and evil , everywhere destroyed and when the war ended people couldn't trust themselves anymore and built different kingdoms. but no one still knows whether a battle will break out again.

Derkile parents were sorcerers , well according to what he was told. Sorcerers where a set of people who where able to exhibit magical energy by themselves, normally magic could be exhibit through magical stones or naturally but sorcerers where able to create magic themselves.

So that was why his parents went out to fight in the war because they and the other sorcerers knew they would be of great help in the war , but after the war many sorcerers died and the remaining sorcerers or the new ones were taken to the palace of each kingdoms.

  Derkile had been tested severally for magical powers but not even a little was found and he was abandoned, so he started living on his own. All this thoughts alone were making him sleepy and he decided to rest a little before waking up for tomorrow... Derkile met himself by a river bank , there were beautiful flowers on the ground and the river was flowing softly .

A woman dressed in a pink dress with blonde hair was standing and facing him, he couldn't see her face clearly because she wasn't looking at him but he saw her whispering something but he couldn't hear it clearly.

  Suddenly she frowned and the river started moving as fast as ever almost washing away the flowers but those too changed as the flowers turned into thorns and wrapped around him he tried to scream for help but there was no one else there , the woman began to shriek with such a voice that belonged to a monster , she looked as if she was melting and her dress turned brown, then she started to yell what she was whispering before.

"The evil hath come again!!!" She continued to yell until the water rushed in an swooped Derkile into the river " nooooooooo!!!" Derkile shouted as he was washed away."help!!,hellllppp!!!!".

"Argh!!!" Derkile screamed as he woke up, he's head was pounding has he tried to grab everything that happened.

  "So it was just a dream??? , But it felt so real" he thought, but suddenly he realized that it was morning and tried to get all the thoughts away.

  It was already morning and Derkile had to go and fetch some woods from the little forest behind the village.

Mehato kingdom was a highly populated kingdom, so the king wanted to use this as an opportunity to recruit more soilders for himself, even women were chosen to be soilders.

Derkile headed towards the forest with a small axe in his hand, the forest was said to be dwelt by some beasts and animals, but Derkile never went deep into it, he only stopped by the edge of the forest to get some woods.

Derkile had gotten there and was cutting the woods when a slow, melodious voice came from the inner of forest. The voice was that of a woman and Derkile felt as if he was drawn to this voice.

Derkile, mind spelled, was now following this voice , he kept walking deep and deeper into the forest, not minding the dangers of the forest anymore, have only wanted to get close to this singing voice.....

Time had passed and Derkile was still following this voice, when suddenly , the voice stopped and Derkile was freed from the mind spell, but when he realized what was happening around him he was lost.

" Oh, no, where am I?, How did I get here?, Damn!! , Now I need to find my way back home before it's late or else who knows what will happen to me".

Derkile cried worried, and started trying to find his way out of the the thick forest.

Derkile had been walking around the forest for hours now, and he hadn't found his way back, he regretted ever following that voice and cursed himself once in awhile.

After some time, darkness was starting to set into the forest, and Derkile was scared, he had heard about many dangerous beasts in the forest and sure didn't want to have an encounter with any of them. He was thinking about all this, when a large shadow covered his from behind, Derkile turned around and what he saw was deadly.

A huge beast, with slime all over it and a head with six red eyes and a large mouth with huge razor sharp teeth in it, it had four arms and four legs, and it was on its feets staring at Derkile with it's eyes which said only one thing. Lunch.

The both of them stared at each other, but the first one to act was the beast, swinging it's right arms with such speed, that Derkile was only able to jump back a little too avoid the dangerous clawed arms from severing his body into two, but still it managed to graze his chest.

" Argh!! , Damn it!!".

Derkile didn't wait for another attack and speed down the opposite direction of the beast, running with all his might, but the beast didn't seem to be as fast on his legs as he was with his arms, nevertheless, Derkile ran at his top speed to no where in particular, it was now dark in the night and Derkile couldn't see anything, his chest was bleeding severely from the cut, soon Derkile foot hit a rock and he fell down a steep mountain in the forest , he rolled over and over until he was bashed against the foot of the mountain.

Derkile felt pain all around him, he seemed to have gotten away from the beast, but not empty handed, he was bruised from head to toe and there was a large bleeding cut on his chest, he felt weak and couldn't stand, he just hoped that was the end of it, but that didn't seem like it because not long latter, the sight of another creature caught Derkile eyes and it seemed to have also found Derkile.

This time the creature, was a normal one, but still a dangerous creature, it was a hungry looking Lion.

Derkile eyes opened widely in fear, but this time he couldn't move, he had been immobilized from the fall. He could only watch in terror as the wild animal ran dangerously towards him. Was this how it would all end?, Was this how he would be killed by not even sure beast?, Was this how he would be killed without even be given the Chance to get revenge for his parents??. No, Derkile knew he had to do something, using his hand, he searched for something to use as a weapon around him, and soon he felt a rough, round object, he held it up and the light shone brightly.

It was a magic stone emmiting bright yellow light, Derkile knew it was a powerful magic stone, but the only usefulness of it to him right now was too use it as a weapon against the creature.

The lion had reached Derkile, and was about to start tearing at him but then Derkile suddenly pierced the stone into the lion with such force that the blood of the lion spilled all over Derkile.

Then suddenly, something strange happened, the lion blood mixed with the blood on Derkile chest and the Stone's light started getting bright and covering both the lion and Derkile until.. blackout.

Derkile eyes opened one last time before it finally closed.

" What is happening to me ??".

And with that he totally went out....
