2 days later. It was a cold and dark morning, Nyxara had just finished preparing the special forces and sent a messenger bird to Zarok. Zarok received the message,
"Dear Zarok, I have the forces you requested prepared and ready for battle. I will do warm-ups until Dusk and when you are prepared for the attack come down and notify me.
-Yours truly, Nyxara."
Bang! Morvanna jumped into the children's section of the house where Thorne, Zarmina and Draven were gathered,
"Out, now, go to your friend's house for the day." Morvanna said sternly. Draven and Zarmina started packing up but Thorne put his hand out,
"Why Mother, why must we go in the cold and freezing rain? Answer me, mother!" Thorne shouted. Morvanna was shocked by this display of disrespect and slapped him. Draven closed his eyes whilst Zarmina was grinning.
"I am your mother, now follow your siblings... and get out!" Morvanna exclaimed whilst leaning in Thorne's face. Thorne clenched his fists with anger and a white aura started to wrap around them. His eyes started to flash and he started gnashing his teeth. The room started shaking and everyone became afraid. Draven and Zarmina sprinted out of the room whilst Morvanna stood there, without fear. However, she was scared shitless but she wanted to show her dominance over him, her authority you may say. Thorne then looked her dead in her eyes and fired a beam of pure energy from one of his hands. Morvanna quickly responded with a beam of her dark energy and they were seeing who would last longer. Of course, Thorne would win in any other circumstance yet because he had tunnel vision and could barely make out the situation, his pure energy was limited, and this made him unfocused. Zarmina sprinted to her father's throne room and exclaimed about the situation. Zarok then used his electricity and ran there at the speed of sound. He barged in and covered the whole room in electricity. This made them both unfocused which cancelled the beams out. Morvanna backed down whilst Thorne only got angrier.
"Settle down child!" Zarok exclaimed. This only made him angrier. Thorne got angrier and angrier and this caused the aura around him to increase. It became too dangerous so the whole family got underneath him and sent their full force. This was just enough to send him flying through the ceiling into the sky. Zarok walked over to Morvanna and raised both his hands in a silly fixture. He then generated lighting at the tips of his fingernails and shot them at Morvanna. He wasn't aiming to cause pain, no, quite the opposite. He wanted to re-wire her brain so that she could act normal, but Zarok was a bit dumb and this didn't work. Thorne landed on a haystack and woke up instantly. His body was then zapped with an unheard-of pain. Thorne shouted till his veins started popping out of his forehead. His hand, the hand from which he fired that light beam, it was burned. After Thorne stopped screaming, he laid down and started crying. His hair mingled with the hay and his tears were being washed away by the rain. He finally stood up and started walking up the hill on which he landed. The hill was steep with mostly rock but frequent patches of grass and patches of spiky rock. These parts of the hill were sharp and prickly with tiny bits of venom leaking out. Thorne realized that these 'spiky rock' patches were the teeth of a long-dead snake-worm kingdom which lived underground. So Thorne was careful to avoid them. Mud was also flowing from the tip of the hill and it made Thorne very unstable, in fact, he nearly slipped multiple times. As he kept climbing, the mud seemed to flow faster and faster and in larger quantities. This angered Thorne but he controlled himself so as to not summon his power again. He finally reached the tip top and saw that a small elf was firing mud with his nature element. Thorne chuckled and used his pinkie finger to fire the elf away. Thorne then looked up, rain covering every inch of his body. He simply stood there, doing nothing.
On the other side, Aelion was still grounded and not allowed to exit his home. His father was extremely angry with him as he not only put his life and the life of the future King in jeopardy but also stole a sacred family heirloom that had been passed down since the great world war. Edward and Elara got home on time and neither Seraphina nor Velentinus scolded them. However, not everyone was happy, oh not everyone was happy indeed! When the twins arrived home, they were greeted by an angry Luka. Oh boy, how lucky Lumin was that they had Luka on their side, or the whole of Lumin would've burned down! Perhaps it would've crumbled due to his anger! Luka instantly flew at Edward and punched him in the face. Edward was sent flying and then Viviana popped up out of nowhere and shot a pressurized water stream from her palms at Elara. Both the twins were then on the ground. Luka suddenly started approaching them with literal fire shooting from his eyes and his palms ready to fire. Before Luka could do anything stupid, Velentinus showed up and blew away the fire. He then covered the twins,
"Father! Move," Luka shouted with the tone of a lion, "or I shall blast you too!" Velentinus said nothing.
"Father it's not fair..." Viviana whispered under her breath, Velentinus still heard her of course.
"Yeah! What she said!" Luka added, "They get to go on an awesome day trip whilst we're stuck here!?" He continued, "I shall take my revenge!" Luka said before launching a gigantic fire blast. Velentinus easily split the fire in 2 and blew Luka inside the house. Viviana then followed him. Velentinus raised the twins and then took them to bed. Luka was only 5 but he was as strong as a battalion.
Dusk had finally arrived. Zarok got dressed in his war garments and made his way to Nyxara via a giant bee. Zarok arrived and was greeted by a group of 50 specially selected soldiers and Nyxara herself. Zarok put his hand out but Nyxara hugged him instead. She then felt a strong and sharp stick-like force coming from his waist but ignored it. Zarok hugged her back.
"Are these the best that Umbra has to offer?" Zarok asked,
"Yes, they are," Nyxara replied. Zarok started smiling, then laughing and then screaming. He was overflowing with excitement. He finally had everything he needed to invade Lumin and it was at the tip of his fingers!
"Are you sure we're ready for the mission!?" Zarok asked whilst grabbing Nyxara by the shoulders and shaking her. Nyxara started chuckling,
"Yes, my lord! We are ready for an all-out attack!" Nyxara replied with laughter.
"What are we waiting for then!?" Zarok asked, "Let's attack Gods-damn it!" The soldiers then mounted upon their armoured, giant bees and set off. 3 hours had passed and night had finally arrived and they were just about 2 miles away. The bordering mountain was finally in sight.
"G...GODAMN! That mountain is humongous!" A soldier shouted. Zarok then stared at the mountain. His eyes went blank and his skin pale. He then swallowed his spit and slowly turned to face Nyxara who was parallel to him.
"It is possible to scale it... right?" Zarok asked whilst trembling and sweating,
"Why would it not be possible?" Nyxara replied, "You think I have not planned this out bit by bit?" She added, "I am the one who plans your stupid idea. Trust me when I say this, we will succeed; beheaded be me if I lie!" Zarok was slightly comforted yet still afraid. It was dark outside, yes very dark indeed! The soldiers with firepower were required to stay at the front line to shine light for the rest. The soldiers with wind power stayed at the back to help propel the squad; though it did little to nothing in terms of propelling. To say it was cold is an understatement. Not only was it raining but it was also windy as windy could get! It was as though the Gods knew what was to happen so they tried to stop them. Yet they did fail indeed. Finally, they reached the mountain. It was around midnight. The mountain was humongous, being a whopping 50 kilometres tall and spanning across the whole globe. It was covered in stone, and at the top, it was covered in ice and snow. It was steep, too steep for a normal man to climb. You must've needed a propeller of some sort or a beast of some sort to scale it and luckily the army had just that. The actual size of the mountain is so grand that I cannot even begin to paint it in your head. It was like Goliath standing over a sperm cell! It is like trying to compare a penny with the moon! It was humongous! However, something was off with the mountain. On one side, it was covered in grass and the occasional rock. It was warm and beautiful. It was a sight to see, a wonder of the globe! On the other side, however, it was a curse. It was steep, covered in stone and rock and it was painful to comprehend. It was cold and dark and the mountain itself ejected the occasional steam from one of its holes. The steam would melt skin and turn bone into dust.
