Chapter 7 - Arc 1: Alone, Chapter 6: Inferno (3)

One thing that Zarok and Nyxara weren't aware of is that they were cursed! Yes, cursed! Matter

of fact, when Thorne used his Pure-energy against his mother, Zephyrus, the God of rage, was

alerted and he used his omniscience to find out Zarok's and Nyxara's wicked plan of using one

of the dragon-god brothers to infiltrate Lumin. So, to avoid this, he wiped Zarok's, Nyxara's and

anyone else's memory of the plan. However, he didn't make them forget about their goal; to

kidnap the royal family in order to fix their economy and get more money (by ransom for the

family). Zephyrus essentially wanted to send them to the mountain without a plan and they

would die; but to their luck, a random person knew exactly what to do and re-lit their plan and

this angered Zephyrus and he killed that person.

Anyways, the soldiers all froze at the sight of this beast.

"I ask again!" Nightsmith, the dragon yelled, "Who dared summon me!"

"It was I!" Zarok yelled, "Me, the great king of Umbra! The land whose border you protect!"

Nyxara stared at Zarok with awe, admiring his bravery. Her reddish eyes becoming glittery, blue

for an instant. The dragon lowered his head, the fire from his eyes luminating the dark, raining

sky,

"Why..." The dragon clenched its shark like teeth, "Have you summoned me, Goblin!" The

dragon's scream's were unbearable to hear and witness.

"Oh, great dragon-god" Zarok cried, "I will forever be in your debt if you help me with a request!"

Every soldier had equipped their respective weapon; Nyxara with her mace, Valek with his

katana and the rest with their own weapon.

"Oh!" The dragon yelled, "Have you summoned me to speak?! Speak your wish mere goblin!"

Nyxara's beautiful eyes had fully turned red now, with anger. Literally, they became a bright,

luminating red and Valek's were also slowly turning red. Yet his light green eyes outshined the

redness, yet the redness was still there, dormant you may say; waiting for a spark. Perhaps that

spark could be used for good rather then for evil?

"Great dragon, our country is failing economically and we need to make money somehow. So,

we thought that we should kidnap the royal family of Lumin. We arrived at the mountain and

knew not what to do but someone told us to summon you and here we are." Zarok said, "We

humbly ask you to carry us over and help us accomplish our mission; there's not many of us,

I'm sure we can all fit." The dragon gazed down at Zarok, grinning. The dragon had spent

centuries guarding a border; endless boredom indeed! Nightsmith thought that this could erase

a bit of boredom for him and perhaps spice things up a bit. Nightsmith was always mischievous

in nature and if not for his brother, Belisarie the great golden dragon-god, then he would do as

he pleased. Nightsmith saw this as an opportunity, as his brother was still at the top of the

mountain, and accepted it with acrimony.

"Hm, what shall I get in return?" The dragon asked, each stroke of its breath smelling worse

than the last,

"Endless worship and sacrifice my lord!" Valek shouted. Nyxara gazed at him with her red eyes

luminating even more; she threw a stone at him-a small stone. The dragon laughed:

"Very well then, though your worship is quite worthless, I'll do as you please for my own

entertainment." The dragon said. The soldiers looked at Nyxara, still overflowing with rage, and

Zarok for approvable to celebrate and Zarok started screaming in joy. The rest of the soldiers

joined in.

"We're coming for you Lucianis!" The soldier's, along with Zarok, Valek and a raging Nyxara,

screamed in unison

"Mother!" Luka shouted, "Bring me milk!" It was night-time yet Luka couldn't fall asleep without

his milk supposedly. Seraphina jumped out of bed. The king got frightened and also jumped,

"Luka!" Velentinus screamed, "Get in bed... NOW!" He screamed very loudly- now we know

where Luka got his screaming from.

"Honey," Seraphina said, "Go to bed, I'll deal with it." Seraphina then got out of bed and put on

her slippers and robe. Her beautiful, blonde hair was ruined by the shambles of sleep and her

blue eyes were stained with somnolence. She walked down the hall to Luka. Luka was simply

standing there, menacingly. He had short, light, brown hair with brown eyes. He was quite short,

as he was young, yet powerful. He had a short, upturned nose with freckles scattered around

his eye area. He had very faint eyebrows paired with very hooded eyes. He had rosy cheeks

too and his ears were large. He was quite the opposite of Edward and Elara who both had

blonde hair, blue eyes, pale skin with no impurities. They were also tall and had long noses

paired with almond eyes. Their ears were also small and their eyebrows were perfect. They

were the epitome of stunning, good looks. Viviana and Velentinus were both tall, had very dark

hair with extremely pale skin. They both had brown eyes which were hooded and their ears

were large (as Luka's). They had very short, up turned noses with rosy cheeks and faint

eyebrows. Luka, Velentinus and Viviana were like triplets. Seraphina was quite similar to the

twins besides that her eyes were also hooded and she had big ears. The rest was pretty much

the same. Anyways, Seraphina dragged an unwilling Luka back in bed and put him to bed.

Thirty minutes later, the whole family was sound asleep... or so they thought.

All the soldiers had finally mounted upon the dragon along with their giant bees and they begun

flying. The dragon took a specific route as to avoid being seen by his brother, who would've

cancelled the operation and severely punished the goblins and Nightshades. Oh, how beautiful

the tip of the mountain was. It was covered in grass and light shone on it from the good side. It

was full of life which adapted to the tip and it was truly a sight to see. The blades of grass were

purple and numerous fruits grew upon them. As Nightsmith crossed the border, the soldiers saw

the bright Lumin for the first time... ever. It was heaven compared to the rainy hell they had to

endure. Though it was night-time, it was much more luminous than Umbra as the moon itself

decided to bless Lumin with light. The soldiers were amazed by this and to be fair, so was the

dragon. He had never left the tip of the mountain for centuries so finally revisiting land was also

a blessing for him. The dragon was flying quite high so he wouldn't be heard by the civilians. To

say he was flying rapid would be disrespectful, he was flying extremely rapid. All the soldiers,

but Valek as he had great balance, were holding onto a scale for dear life; one soldier even

getting under a scale to protect himself. The dragon was so glad that he was laughing!

"Zarok!" Nyxara shouted,

"Yes?!" Zarok replied,

"I don't think that raising the castle from its roots is very smart," She said, "It will tire our soldiers

out and waste our time. Let's simply blast it with fire and have the water and wind users go in

and kidnap them." She added.

"Very well then, no raising the castle from its roots, noted." Zarok said before continuing to

enjoy the breezy air smacking him in the face. However, the soldiers felt a bit weird. Every

second they spent their, they became crazier and crazier. One soldier even leaped off of the

dragon! It was the curse that Timotheus had placed! Timotheus cursed the goblins and

nightshade elves and if they ever crossed the border they would become rabid and crazy. This

wasn't an immediate effect however and as long as they go and leave swiftly, they won't be

cursed; but of course it also depends on the soldiers will power. That's why some went crazy

and some didn't.

After trans versing the whole of Lumin, the castle was finally in view. The mountain was also in

view again (as it spanned across the whole world; and the Lumin castle was on the far west and

the Umbra castle was right next to their side of the mountain as to keep them as far as

possible). The dragon and fire users were then instructed to fire a large beam of fire. The

soldiers were energized as they sort of rested for a couple hours throughout the journey. Whilst

the royal family was sound asleep, the soldiers and the dragon fired. The fire quickly consumed

and awoke the whole house.

"Honey!" Velentinus screamed, "Where are you!" Suddenly, two jet streams of water hit him

from the back and sent him flying. Velentinus quickly stood back up and launched a great wind

blast which sent some soldiers flying back. Velentinus tried to run to the other rooms but the fire

was too great for him to extinguish. Before he could even react, he was hit on the head with

something and passed out. The soldiers then flew him on the dragon and tied him down with

anti-element chains. On the same dragon was Luka, Seraphina and Viviana; but where were

the twins? The twins were battling the soldiers. The soldiers would hit them and Edward and

Elara would hit them right back. They were in a stalemate. Suddenly, a fire ball came flying right

at them and before Elara could dodge, she was knocked out and taken to the dragon. Edward

quickly flew out the house and hid under some dirt. His once beautiful, thick, blonde hair was

now stained with dirt. He looked over to his house, now covered in fire, and cried. His hands

were red with burns and his lips were dry. He witnessed as his whole family was dragged upon

that demonic dragon. His eyes were overflowing with tears and he wanted to scream and shout

but no sound emerged from his voice. Edward continued to stare and witnessed as the soldiers

continued to burn his house to a crisp; the house he grew up in, the house in which he learnt

everything in, the house in which so much love and affection was showed was now burnt to

nothingness. Edward's eyebrows started to tilt downwards and his tears slowly began to

evaporate from off of his face. He witnessed as the soldiers spat and mocked his family before

taking off with the dragon and other valuables they could find. Edward noticed some of the

soldier's ugly, green skin and noticed some other soldier's orange skin and spiky ears. Edward

was confused at who this people were but then remembered what he learnt in the history

books; 'Umbrians...' He finally found out who they were. He emerged from the ground...

"Umbrians..." He said quietly, with drool of anger streaming down his chin and the dirt mixing

with it, "Umbrians! You will not get away with this!"

Far away, Aelion had noticed a lot of smoke coming from the palace's direction and he became

anxious. Sweat began to drip down his forehead and he began to bite his elfish finger-nails. He

wanted to go and alert his father but was afraid of his father's wrath so he stayed stationary for

a couple of minutes. In those minutes, the family had been kidnapped and taken away. If Aelion

hadn't been afraid of his father's wrath and had gone to wake him, perhaps the family could've

been rescued; but no, the family was taken and nothing could be done about it now. Aelion

finally decided to stand up and run to his father's room.

"Father!" Aelion screamed, waking his father up, "Come quick! Something has happened!"

Eldrinor got out of bed and his wrinkly, old face was visibly dismayed,

"Boy..." He grumbled, "If this is another one of you're shambles... you're dead..."

"Fine! Please father come on!" Aelion had grabbed his father's hand and sprinted to his room.

He then pointed out the window to the smoke emerging.

"What the f..." Eldrinor said, "Get dressed, we're going to investigate." The two then got dressed

and left the house. However, before leaving, Eldrinor went up to a statue of his wife and said:

"Please, my love, let the family be safe."

The two then mounted on Eldrinor's flying horse and quickly flew towards the palace. They

arrived and were dumbfounded by the scene: A once large, royal, holy, pulchritudinous palace

now burned to nought. The once majestic walls of the palace being crumbled to mere bits and

pieces on the ground. The only things that were left was the king's throne and a statue of the

great god Timotheus. Aelion fell on his knees and grabbed dirt in his hands and cried out. The

fire was still there and it was purple. It was burning everything and was relentless. A horrible

smell of ash was infecting the atmosphere and you could almost taste the evil in the sky.

Eldrinor noticed a figure standing in front of the flames with one arm out. He noticed the figure

was also holding a staff in the other hand. The figure was dressed in a burnt, night gown and

was wearing a night hat on his head. The figure was also barefoot and covered in ash. One

more thing could also be detected, loud screams of joy and the flapping of un-heard of wings.

Eldrinor looked in the direction of these sounds and saw something horrible; a colossal figure

with giant wings flying away with excellent speed. He also noticed miniature figures upon it with

some appearing as elves and others appearing unknown to Eldrinor. These figures were

clothes in un-seen armor. Eldrinor knew instantaneously that this was the work of Umbrians

but was shocked to see a dragon-god assisting them. Eldrinor disregarded it for now as there

was bigger issues to deal with: the figure standing in front of the flames. Eldrinor ran towards

the figure, leaving Aelion alone, and grabbed the figure. The figure remained with his hand in

the sky. Eldrinor turned the figures head and saw it was Edward; prince Edward.

"Oh no!" Eldrinor cried before kneeling and hugging Edward, "No, No, No, No, No!" Eldrinor

continued to cry and scream out whilst Edward remained stationary with a gaze of vexatious

intent. Edward's blood dripped on Eldrinor and it felt warm; no, not warm, boiling. His blood felt

boiling. Eldrinor's garments began to melt and it hit his skin. Eldrinor pulled his hug back and

fell back; looking up, he could see a menacing boy staring at the ruins of his once majestic

palace. Edward then passed out and Eldrinor caught him. Eldrinor walked back, mounted both

his son and Edward upon the flying horse and took them to his home where they would sleep

and the following morning would come to the military base to explain what had happened.

To be continued...
