The subtle light of dawn crept over the horizon, casting an orange glow across the castle courtyard. The steady clatter of hooves and the voices of guards preparing the carriage created a hum of early morning activity.
In the midst of the organized chaos, Elara stood at the center, gesturing wildly at the guards as they struggled with her assortment of belongings. Several dresses, a blanket, pillows, books, a sewing kit, a few jars of food, and an assortment of trinkets and pots were piled high around her feet.
"This one's fragile!" she called, holding up a small glass vial. "And don't forget the pillows please!"
Two guards, initially baffled, hurried over to assist but a commanding voice cut through the commotion.
