Chapter 91 - Azael Volacris(2).

"How does he know he is Oasis Volacris? Is there another Volacris family in Verdantia? Can there be such a coincidence?" he thought, slightly hitting his head.

"Damn, kid, I have no choice. I need to be sure," the young man spoke out loud.

"What is he talking about?" Oasis thought, "Is he planning to kill me as I feared?"

"I'm lying! I'm not Oasis Volacris!" Oasis suddenly shouted.

"Shut up!!!" the young man yelled.

"Kairos, emerge!" the young man called out, placing two fingers on his forehead and injecting some energy.

!!!

Energy was suddenly released, slowly taking shape.

The energy turned into a live phoenix, its majestic form radiating power and heat.

"You called, young master Azael?" the phoenix divine spirit spoke.

!!!

"Huh, Azura?" Oasis exclaimed, surprised.

"So this is a phoenix. His aura feels like Azura's. What's going on here?" Oasis thought.

"Is he going to let that eat me or burn me?" he wondered, surprised.

"Did he just say Azura? Impossible," the young man thought.

"Kid, did you just say Azura?" he asked Oasis.

"Ah, no, I said nothing, Aya's uncle," Oasis lied, sweating.

Just the presence of the phoenix made the surrounding area very hot.

"Kairos, does this kid carry my father's blood?" the young man asked the phoenix.

The phoenix unleashed flames that wrapped around Oasis.

!!!

"Ahhh, I knew it was a bad idea," Oasis thought, fearing the phoenix was about to kill him.

"Huh!! These flames are not hot. What are these flames?"

""

Kairos said to the young man via their conscious link, without Oasis hearing a thing.

"" the young man said, dismissing Kairos.

The phoenix returned to the young man, its form dissolving back into energy.

Without a word, the young man unlocked the technique, and Oasis regained his movements.

"Azael Volacris, that's my name," the young man introduced himself.

"Damn, this is awkward," Azael said.

Azael didn't know what to say to Oasis, and the situation became awkward as he stood there without a word.

"Azael, huh? I guess you are my brother from your reaction," Oasis said, sitting down.

"Oh man, not bad."

The conversation between Oasis and Azael began to flow, breaking the initial awkwardness.

Oasis learned more about his family, and Azael discovered how Oasis had grown up in Verdantia.

From Azael, Oasis learned that their father's name was Solarius Volacris and his mother was Nyxara from Ironheart.

Nyxara was Solarius's second wife after his first wife had died.

Solarius was one of the great elders of the Phoenix's Peak, and his strength was almost on par with the leader of the Phoenix's Peak.

Nyxara was also a formidable warrior.

Their mysterious deaths had caused misunderstandings and tension between the Phoenix family and the Dragonkin clan from Ironheart.

Oasis also discovered that Aya was his eldest brother's child and that his eldest brother was now one of the great elders in the Phoenix's Peak.

As for why Oasis felt Azura's presence in Azael's phoenix,

Azael explained that in their father's estate, which was once their grandfather's and inherited by Solarius,

Few of Azura's spiritual essences were stored.

These essences were injected into the eggs of the divine phoenix before they hatched, enabling them to hatch with some of Azura's sentiment and knowledge.

Although these phoenixes couldn't transform into human form, they could understand and speak to humans, inheriting some of Azura's strength.

This explained why Oasis felt Azura's presence in Azael's phoenix, Kairos.

Azael then understood the mystery behind the egg that was laid in their father's estate ten years ago, just before Solarius's soul lamp disappeared.

The egg, which had not hatched since, belonged to Oasis.

This connection between the phoenixes and their family lineage was profound and meaningful.

As Oasis and Azael continued to talk, they uncovered more about their shared heritage.

Oasis learned about the history and customs of the Phoenix's Peak, the significance of the Volacris bloodline, and the political dynamics that influenced their family.

Azael, on the other hand, gained insights into Oasis's upbringing in Verdantia, his struggles, and the unique abilities he had developed.

The bond between the two brothers grew stronger as they shared their experiences and knowledge.

Despite the initial tension, they found common ground and began to understand the importance of their connection.

"So what's next? Are you going to come back to the Phoenix's Peak after Tir na Nog?" Azael asked Oasis.

"No, not yet. I still have affairs to deal with in Verdantia," Oasis replied.

"Oh, well, I understand. Big brother will be happy to hear about you," Azael said.

Azael reached out to a small box, injecting some energy into it.

The box expanded slightly.

"This storage box can store living things," Azael explained, removing a large egg from the box.

"This is yours. I have been keeping it close to me," he said as he handed it to Oasis along with the storage box.

He explained how Oasis could help the egg hatch, as it was slowly losing its vitality without nourishment from its rightful owner.

Time passed as they continued talking and sharing their experiences.

Azael pointed out the flaws in Oasis's techniques that he had learned from Master Renald and explained more about the Dancing Phoenix technique.

Oasis gained a deeper understanding of his techniques,

including the Phoenix Glaze, learning that it was a technique capable of destroying one's soul, especially if used against someone with inferior spiritual energy.

This new knowledge enlightened Oasis, and he felt his abilities and understanding grow stronger.

"I was also sent here on a mission from the leader of the Phoenix's Peak," Azael said.

"There is an artifact called the Grimoire of Space, and it must not fall into the wrong hands," he explained.

"I was sent here to ensure no one takes it until this place closes."

"If it falls into the wrong hands, it will cause chaos in the world. It's better for it to remain without an owner."

"So, little brother, you shall help me with this mission. It will be your first mission from Phoenix's Peak," Azael concluded.
