Chapter 63 - Scorching Crescent Blade

Master Renald was astonished by Oasis's capability as he trained him.

Oasis's movements were fluid and precise, with more power in each strike.

"Good, good," he praised.

It had been about four hours since they started with the 'Blazing Dragon Fist'.

It seemed as if Oasis had already been practicing it for some time.

"Enough for now. Go refresh with the others and help them with making lunch," Renald told Oasis.

It was already noon, with the sun barely entering the Winter Garden Peak.

Everyone was on a break from their first two sessions, and Oasis joined the others outside, who had just finished their training.

"Yo, Oasis," Tatsuo waved at Oasis, who was coming out of the main hall.

Oasis nodded his head in reply.

"Damn, how did this kid even train to get such a body?" Tatsuo remarked as he saw Oasis's physique.

"Let's go prepare some food. They'll cook; we just need to chop the veggies and meat," Tatsuo said, tossing Oasis his upper clothing.

"Cool, thank you," Oasis replied as he caught the martial clothing.

!!!

"Oasis, have I seen you somewhere?" Tyla asked, looking directly into his eyes.

"But that brat was scrawny and small," Tyla thought.

"Nah, never seen you," Oasis replied.

"Never mind," Tyla responded, though she continued thinking, "but he definitely resembles him."

Everyone went to prepare lunch.

Oasis and Tatsuo were busy chopping. When they finished, they gave the ingredients to the girls to cook.

Meanwhile, while the girls were preparing, Oasis went back to the training field.

"Where did he go?" Tatsuo wondered as he looked around for Oasis.

When Tatsuo found him, he was surprised to see Oasis practicing the Blazing Mirage Step with precision.

"When did he even start? It's more perfect than I can do. The control is amazing," Tatsuo thought as he watched Oasis.

"Yo, junior brother," Tatsuo called out to Oasis.

"You just got here yesterday, and you've already mastered the Blazing Mirage. What are you?" he asked.

"Oh, nothing much, Tatsuo... Oh, I meant Senior Brother Tatsuo," Oasis replied.

"The thing is, this Blazing Mirage is slightly similar to my family's footwork technique, so it was easy to grasp," Oasis explained.

"Oh, I see. So, junior, can I ask you... why is your aura blue-cyan, not red-orange, since you are a fire martial artist?" Tatsuo asked, curious.

"And does that mean your fire is also blue or cyan?" he continued.

"To be honest, I don't know why, but yes, my flames and the manifestation of my fire martial arts are all blue-cyan," Oasis replied.

"I also heard rumors that you are strong and managed to beat a second practical student in a duel," Tatsuo continued.

"It's not that I'm strong; he was just weak and arrogant," Oasis replied.

They exchanged words for a few minutes, and before they knew it, lunch was ready, and they were called to the dining area.

"About time," Oasis said with a huge smile.

"You really love food, huh?" Tatsuo asked.

"Despite his elder-like wisdom, he is just a kid, and I'm older than him," Tatsuo thought as he watched Oasis, who was excited about food.

They went to the dining area and enjoyed the food.

Oasis ate everything down to the last bone, and there was laughter as he seemed to only smile when eating.

After eating, it was already afternoon, and they were all called back to the training field by Master Renald.

"Greetings, Master Renald," they paid their respects as he stood near the main hall entrance and the four disciples gathered in the training field.

"Now for the last session of today... take out your swords. It's time for the Scorching Crescent Blade," he commanded.

Oasis didn't have a sword to use, while the other three unsheathed theirs.

"Oh, Oasis, you don't have a sword," Renald noted.

"It's not a big deal since you're just starting. Let's go get you your own sword," he said.

"The rest of you continue until we come back. No resting and no slacking off," he commanded.

"Yes, Master Renald," they replied.

"Oasis, follow me," Master Renald commanded.

Master Renald and Oasis left the Winter Garden via the main gate, leaving Tyla, Tatsuo, and Liora to continue their training.

As they walked away from the garden, Master Renald didn't want to waste time and was busy explaining the Scorching Crescent Blade throughout the journey.

Unlike the Blazing Dragon Fist, Oasis hadn't studied the Scorching Crescent Blade, so it was completely new to him.

The Scorching Crescent Blade is a formidable fire martial art consisting of seven forms

First form-Flame Arc- Basic slashes infused with fire energy, creating crescent-shaped flames that extend the reach of the blade.

second form- Inferno Sweep- Sweeping horizontal strikes that release waves of intense fire, burning everything in their path.

third form -Blazing Vortex -Spinning attacks that generate a vortex of flames around the practitioner, providing both offense and defense.

fourth form- Fiery Thrust- Powerful thrusts that focus fire energy into a concentrated point, capable of piercing through defenses.

fifth form- Searing Dance -A series of agile, dance-like movements that combine slashes and thrusts, creating a fluid and unpredictable attack pattern.

sixth form- Flame Burst- Techniques that involve slamming the sword into the ground to release eruptions of fire, targeting multiple enemies at once.

Seventh form- Dragon's Flame- The most advanced form, requiring precise control to unleash a torrent of dragon-shaped flames, overwhelming opponents with its sheer power and destructive capability.

As they walked, Master Renald continued to explain each form, ensuring that Oasis understood the basics before they reached their destination to get Oasis his own sword.

"And Oasis, I heard from Leonardo that you lost your master," he spoke as he knelt in front of Oasis to reach his height.

"Don't blame yourself for anything. Don't forget you are just a child. It's okay to cry and to share your burdens with friends," he spoke gently.

"This is awkward," Oasis thought to himself.

"Thank you, Master Renald," Oasis replied.

"I still have my master's storage bracelet. I won't open it until Barnabus and his lackeys are no more," Oasis thought, keeping a straight face to Master Renald.

Master Renald and Oasis continued walking. After some time, they reached 'Snow Valley Marketplace'.

The marketplace was set against a backdrop of towering snow-capped mountains, their peaks disappearing into the clouds.

The ground was covered in a light dusting of snow, crunching underfoot as people moved about.

Lanterns hung from the stalls, casting a warm, inviting glow that contrasted with the cool blue tones of the landscape.
