Chereads / Side-Villain With Protagonist's Broken Cheat / Chapter 19 - Emillia Lucerion

Chapter 19 - Emillia Lucerion

In the sky right above Emillia's palace, Amon was flying there.

His eyes saw Emillia in the garden, being accompanied and pampered by three handsome young men.

In the novel, it was indeed accurate to call Emillia part of Liam's harem. But it was also accurate to say that Liam was part of Emillia's harem.

She was actually a polyandry practitioner.

In her previous life, Emillia was known as the Winter Sage. Since childhood, she loved magic and kept studying it continuously. Without realizing it, she had become a Sage.

However, she felt her life was empty. Although she was at the peak of magic, not a single man loved her.

That's why, in her next life – in this life as Emillia Lucerion – she decided to enjoy her life by getting many men.

Amon didn't really like polyandry. As an egoistic man, he preferred polygamy; but he didn't oppose it. The reason he liked Emillia was because she was strong and played an important role in the plot.

Descending from the sky into the garden, Amon took a seat on a chair far from Emillia.

"Bring me ten pizzas."

He then ordered a maid who happened to be passing by, leaving her bewildered.

'Who is this? Another new man of the lady?'

Though confused, seeing Amon's silver hair, she still complied.

"Yes, young master. Please wait a moment."

While waiting, Amon looked at Emillia's palace, which was much bigger than his own.

'Emillia is also a Starheir like me. Will I also soon receive a palace this big?'

Amon couldn't wait for that.

He then opened the Almighty Titan Formula Tome before starting to read it.

After reading a quarter of the tome, Amon's ordered food arrived. He ate the ten pizzas in just ten minutes, and eventually, Emillia noticed the rude intruder.

Emillia ordered all her men to leave before walking toward Amon, who was drinking apple juice.

"You're really rude. Can't you come through the front door?" Emillia asked without a smile.

"If I did that, you'd just say there's time for me tomorrow."

"That's true, but whatever. What do you want?"

"I just want to say that you don't need to fulfill your bet."

"Why?"

"Honestly, imagining myself sleeping with my sister excites me. But, I feel disgusted at the thought of having a disabled child. So, you don't need to make me your man, or for you to become my woman."

Emillia grinned mischievously at hearing that. "Don't worry, our relationship isn't incest."

"Why would you say that?"

"I'm not Lord Lucerion's biological daughter, unlike you. I'm from a branch family, and we're connected through someone from six generations ago. Because I became a Starheir, that's why I'm in the main family."

"Our blood relation is that distant?"

"Legally and scientifically, there's no issue."

"Even so, I still want to end our relationship."

Amon still intended to become an Elder.

"You can't, it's not that simple."

"It should be that simple. After all, you're the one at a disadvantage."

Emillia just grinned as if she had something to hide behind, making Amon realize something.

'Oh crap, so this is what it feels like to fall into a trap.'

In the novel, Emillia wasn't only famous for her power but also for her cunningness. Her cunning would even eventually make her the next clan head.

Thinking back on the bet made between Amon and Emillia, whatever the outcome, Emillia would benefit.

If she won, Karyuken would become hers. But if she lost, Amon, the Starheir, would become part of her faction.

"In any case, that bet is canceled."

"I told you, it's not that easy. People will question my credibility if I don't fulfill my promise. I'm the losing party, you know? Of course, I have to carry out my obligation."

"Don't play the victim."

"Come on, don't be selfish. You have to understand me."

"You're the one who should understand me!"

Amon almost lost his patience dealing with this woman.

Meanwhile, Emillia sighed wearily, but her mouth still grinned.

"If that's the case, why not do a Trial by Sword?"

Amon fell silent, thinking.

"You're thinking?!" Emillia was surprised. She expected Amon to refuse immediately, considering that she was now much stronger than him.

'I could defeat her if I used the Demon God Sword, but the price I'd have to pay would be too high. Besides, do I really need to break my connection with her now? On the other hand, I won't be becoming an Elder anytime soon either. If I think rationally, it's better to stay in her faction and use her name as a shield for survival.'

While Amon was pondering, a big question arose in Emillia's mind.

"Why do you suddenly want to break our relationship? You were so happy before."

"I want to become an Elder."

"You want to become a boring person like that? An Elder's only task is to oversee the clan head. If the clan head doesn't fulfill their duties, the Elder has the right to strip them of their title; that's their only authority."

"You're right, but that suits my lazy style. I don't have to do much work but still get paid very well. I'm even respected by many people."

"Tch! Set a more ambitious goal."

"Even though you say that, I'm an adult, you know. I just want realistic and easily achievable goals." Amon said, sighing sadly.

Amon had been repeatedly crushed by failure.

Since childhood, he forced himself to study science, but the result was a bleak adulthood.

He once worked hard to get a girlfriend and was even treated like a woman's slave, but he died a bachelor.

He also once used all his savings, which he had collected since he was a child, to start a business, but all his money disappeared without yielding any profit.

And there were so many other failures he had experienced.

That's why he no longer wanted to work hard.

He only wanted realistic goals and to achieve them with minimal effort.

For example, when he got his first kiss from Ariel, he didn't want to make a ton of achievements and make Ariel fall in love with him. It was better to trick her using cunning tactics because it was faster and required less effort.

Even though he knew this world was on the brink of destruction, he didn't want to save it. It was better to rely on Liam and give him the Holy Spear.

Another example was in terms of finances. Instead of working or starting a business, he preferred to be Emillia's sugar baby.

Failure was so bitter, it gripped his heart and made him want to die. Amon was truly sick of failure.

He chose to become an Elder because it was still realistic for him. Although it seemed difficult to contribute to the clan, he had knowledge of many Saint and Sage inheritance locations. If he handed over just one to the clan, that would be enough.

"How old are you, kid?" Emillia asked, chuckling.

"Eighteen."

Emillia stopped smiling. Seeing Amon, who looked as sad as an old man looking back at his past full of failures, even though he was only eighteen and recognized as a genius, Emillia felt that Amon was a reincarnator just like her.

"Listen, I don't know what happened in your previous life, but know that you have a new life with limitless opportunities for success. You can remember your previous life, but only for learning purposes. Don't be too pessimistic, and look toward the future. You're now recognized as a genius. Not many people out there can do what you do, creating new techniques."

"…"

"So, set new goals. Don't waste this chance, make your current life happier than your past."

Amon was silent for a moment, Emillia's words touching his heart. After a while, he replied in a soft, hesitant voice.

"…You might be right…"
