Merlin and Keith were done fighting some of the other beasts that had come to kill them. After a while they were able to reach S Rank. They felt a surge of newfound power course through their entire body but they knew that this power won't be enough to protect the people they love.
They needed more strength to protect the people that they love and also protect the innocents. They needed absolute power so that no one in this entire universe wouldn't dare challenge them. They needed power beyond SSS Rank. They overwhelming obsession of becoming stronger is what was pushing them further.
They entered the castle and they were mesmerized by how much golden x-triennium steel was used to make the interior of the castle. Even an S Rank wouldn't be able to destroy this castle even if they wanted to.
They walked further into the beautiful castle and saw multiple painting of the Chaos Lord's personal subordinates fighting in many different battles alongside the Chaos Lord. As they were nearing the giant black door down the hall way, two people suddenly appeared out of thin air. The two people being Pelagius and Aquaria. As soon as the two people appeared, Keith used his (Celestial Eyes) and decided who he was going to fight.
"If you want to fight the king, you'll have to go through us," they said in a low threatening tone. Merlin and Keith readied their weapons and chose the opponents they were going to fight.
Keith chose to fight the merman and Merlin chose to fight the mermaid. Keith rushed at the merman with tremendous speed and swung his sword, aiming for the merman's neck but his attack was deflected by the trident the merman was holding.
Keith took a step back and unleashed a flurry of sword strikes in which Pelagius blocked them and dodged the other attacks elegantly. Keith swung his sword two times releasing to wide arcs of dark flames right at him.
Pelagius noticed that these attacks were more powerful than the first attacks and decided to use his ability to slow down time and dodge the attack. His ability to slow down time had a range of 100 meters and Keith speed was halved. Pelagius used this opportunity to stab him in the chest with his trident.
The trident impaled Keith in the heart and blood started gushing out. His heart stopped beating and Pelagius deactivated his time slow ability. Keith suddenly opened his eyes and swung his towards Pelagius' neck. Pelagius pulled out his trident and swam a few meters away from him. He threw the trident at him and mighty powerful blue lightning descended from the heavens and struck Keith.
Keith was able to absorb fifty percent of it due to him having the law of lightning but the other fifty percent fried his body. His whole body was paralyzed and his skin was slightly burnt and all of his internal organ were practically cooked beyond compare.
He would need about ten seconds to fully heal himself but that would be too much time since his opponent was going to throw the trident at him for the second time. So, he decided to heal the important body parts and his legs. With a sudden burst of speed, he went near Pelagius and roundhouse kicked him in the head which sent him sprawling to do the wall.
The merman was passed out for some seconds and Keith used this time to heal his entire body. As soon as his body regenerated, he rushed at Pelagius and got ready to stab in the chest with his sword. Pelagius sidestepped the attack and punched Keith in the head with all of his strength.
Keith's head got decapitated but his body kept on fighting.
Pelagius was stunned because how was Keith's body operating with a brain. Well, it wasn't, because Keith created an extra brain in his body if he happens to be in a situation were his head got decapitated. Keith went on the offensive and each sword he unleashed was more powerful than the last.
Pelagius decided to use his one of his last resorts and stopped time completely even though using this ability has the risk of rupturing his Se core but it would be worth it if he could kill him. He ripped out of his heart and crushed it with all of his strength.
He took Keith's weapon and was about to cut him down whilst saying, "For attacking our kingdom, I will kill using your own weapon."
The weapon possessed his arm and forced his arm stab his Se core and absorbed of all of his Se. He was forced to deactivate his Time stop. Keith regenerated his head and walked towards Pelagius. He gripped the hilt tightly and removed his sword and swung his sword to decapitate his head but Pelagius used all the Se in his soul time reversal to bring himself back thirty minutes ago but unexcepted something happened.
His head was decapitated and floating in the water. "How?" he muttered in disbelief.
"I used Celestial Eyes to see your abilities before we fought. I had to force you to use Time stop and time reversal for my plan to work. When you use time reversal it will take one full second for your conscious to return back to your past body and I used that one second window to decapitate your head."
"Wait there is one thing I don't understand. How is it that you needed me to use Time stop for your plan to work?
"When you used time stop, you took my sword and tried to kill me with it but what you didn't know is that my weapon is a soul weapon and when its owner sees a person as an enemy, it also sees that person as enemy hence you getting stabbed in the Se core forcing you to stop using time stop and then you used your other last resort time reversal."
"When did you come up with this plan?" he asked because the only time he got to think was two minutes before the fight.
"Two minutes before the fight," he answered.
"But that shouldn't be enough time to formulate a plan."
