Chapter 30 - CHAPTER 30

Marcus's pov

I can't believe the day has finally come, today I am getting married to my babydoll. I am standing on the altar waiting for my baby doll as she walks down the aisle. She is looking so beautiful in the bridal dress. I can't wait to rip it off her and worship her body all night long. I am about to take her hand when the sound of a phone disturbs me. I open my eyes and find myself in bed with my baby doll sleeping on my chest. I can't believe everything I just experienced was just a dream. I look at my phone and it's Alex calling.

"Good morning Alex, is everything okay?"

"Morning sir, I am sorry if I disturbed you. I followed Maggie this morning when she told us she was going jogging, and she met the guy whose photo you sent us. They are still talking as we speak."

"Where are they right now?"

"At the gym."

"Okay, keep watching them, and let me know if they go somewhere else. Is Jake with you?"

"No, he is keeping watch at the apartment."

"Okay, thank you for the update."

"You are welcome boss, I will talk to you later."

"Okay, bye." As I cut the call I feel my blood boil. My suspicions were right Maggie was the one who was in contact with Juliana's bastard ex-boyfriend. I will not spare her for putting my babydoll in danger.

I try to go back to sleep after the call with Alex but I fail. I gently slide out from under my baby doll, careful not to wake her. I quickly get dressed and leave the room. I need to confront Maggie One of these days and put an end to this once and for all. As I make my way downstairs, my mind is racing with anger and frustration. How could Maggie betray Juliana like this? After everything they have been through together. I call Alex to ask him if they are still at the gym he picks up on the second ring.

"Alex, are those two still at the gym?"

"Yes, they seem to be having a very intense conversation."

"Okay, I want you to walk up to them and give Maggie the phone and make sure to put the phone on speaker. I want that bastard to hear too." I want her to know that I know that she is meeting that bastard.

"Marcus, are you sure?" Alex asks in concern.

"Yes, I want that woman to know that I know what she has been up to."

"Okay, I will go to them now."

"Miss Maggie, someone wants to talk to you." I hear Alex say.

"Hello," Maggie greets.

"What the hell are you doing with that man, Maggie?" I demand, my voice laced with anger.

Maggie stammers, clearly caught off guard. "Marcus, I...I can explain."

"Save it," I snap, my patience wearing thin. "Juliana trusts you, Maggie. She trusts you with her life, and now how do you think she is going to feel when she finds out you have been in contact with that guy? The person who has caused her so much pain. Do you have any idea how this is going to hurt her?" Maggie just looks at me with a blank face.

The man finally speaks up, his voice dripping with arrogance. "You must be Marcus. I have heard so much about you."

I feel my blood boil just by the sound of his voice. "And I don't give a shit about who you are. But I am going to give you a warning. Stay away from Juliana if you know what's best for you."

" You say that you don't care about who I am, and yet you are warning me. How funny is that?" I wish I was there. I would have beaten the hell out of him.

"Both of you are lucky I am not there."

"Don't act like you are a saint, Marcus. You haven't told Juliana that you and I knew each other in the past. Imagine how she will feel when she finds out that I had you first." Maggie says I am sure she said that with a smirk.

"Don't even think of comparing yourself to Juliana. You two are worlds apart, she is one in a million and I love her. As for you, you are nothing. I don't want to hear any more of your lies, Maggie. You have betrayed Juliana's trust, and you have betrayed your friendship. I can't believe she considers you her friend."

I am burning with anger. "And tell that bastard next to you, stay the hell away from Juliana. She deserves better than what both of you have given her.."

I hear the bastard chuckle, unfazed by my warning. "We will see about that, Marcus. Juliana and I have a connection that you could never understand."

I clench my fist tighter, my anger threatening to consume me. "You don't know anything about Juliana. You don't know what she's been through, what she's fought for. And you certainly don't know the love we share."

Alex steps in, his voice calm but firm. "Marcus, let's not let this escalate any further. I will talk to you later, your woman must be missing you, go and be with her"

He is right. I take a deep breath, trying to calm myself down. "You are right, Alex. Juliana is what matters most. But Maggie, don't think for a second that I will let you get away with this. You have hurt someone I care about deeply, and I won't stand for it. I will talk to you later Alex"

With that, I cut the call, my mind filled with determination. I need to go back to Juliana, to talk to her and hold her in my arms. I also need to tell her about my past with Maggie but not today. I will tell her some other day. I go to the kitchen to prepare breakfast for my princess. I will make her a fruit salad since she doesn't like eating heavy food in the morning. I am about to go upstairs to wake Juliana when my phone beeps indicating an incoming message it's from Alex. I hope it's good news.
