Chapter 14 - Demon and Sync

Jarak extended his hand, directing the swirling energies with precise movements. His mana channeled into the chaotic vortex, and the feather, talisman, and essence all began to fuse together, merging in a way that defied conventional magic. The power surging through the ritual was almost overwhelming, but Jarak held steady, his will ironclad.

The delicate balance of chaos and order wavered in the air, the creation teetering on the edge of unraveling into pure destruction or forming something completely new. His brow furrowed, and beads of sweat formed on his skin as he focused every ounce of his being on keeping the energy stable. The raw, volatile components fought against each other, their natures too wild to harmonize without a guiding hand.

But Jarak was no novice. He had prepared for this moment, drawing on his vast knowledge of Synchronized Lifeforms. His thoughts flickered back to the Chain of Synchronized Entities, imagining what a single synchronized creature of that magnitude could mean in battle. The vision of an endless cycle of destruction and rebirth filled his mind—creatures growing stronger with each successive manifestation.

"Hold together," he whispered under his breath, feeding more mana into the process. The energy pulsed once, twice, threatening to spiral out of control, but then it began to stabilize, the chaotic elements blending with a surprising ease. It was working. The fusion was happening, and Jarak could feel the potential of what was about to emerge.

The feather burned with an ethereal light, no longer just an object but a vessel of power. The talisman pulsed, feeding its destructive energy into the creation, while the Spirit of Vengeance's essence roared within it, ready to unleash its fury. The synchronized forces began to meld, a new form taking shape within the magic circle.

And then, in a flash of blinding light, the process completed.

Hovering before Jarak was not just a creature—it was something far more primal, more dangerous. The energy around it was chaotic yet controlled, a perfect balance between destruction and creation. Its form was fluid, constantly shifting between a burning phoenix and a demon cloaked in darkness. Until Finally settling as a creature chaos. The body of a high demon covered in golden Phoenix flames and a pair of majestic Phoenix feathers.

Looks like the mana concentration was high enough to evolve both sides of the equation.

This was a manifestation of pure fury, a creature born from the synchronization of chaos and order, just as Jarak had intended.

A deep, resonant growl echoed through the room as the creature's eyes opened, glowing with a molten fire. Jarak stepped back, admiring his work. He had succeeded in creating a high-sync card, one that would satisfy Chaos's impossible standards.

"Finally the last step refine it into two separate cards. The creation's form condensed into a ball of mana in the Abyssal Rift Color.

Jarak gazed at the glowing ball of mana in his hand, now condensed into the Abyssal Rift color. It pulsed with an almost living energy, radiating the chaos that had birthed it—a perfect embodiment of the forces he had been working with. The deep, shimmering purple at its core seemed to swirl endlessly, a storm of power barely contained within the spherical form. Electric blue highlights crackled along its surface, and through it ran twisting ribbons of dark red and black, like veins carrying the lifeblood of destruction and creation in perfect synchrony. The colors shifted constantly, never settling, always in motion, as though they were alive with the same fury that had formed the creature.

The description from the leading scientist in the chaos research field came to mind as Jarak observed the turbulent energy: "A deep, shimmering purple as the core, with electric blue highlights sparking around it, and ribbons of dark red and black twisting through. The surface of the color constantly shifts, with streaks and flashes of energy breaking through, like looking into a storm of pure, untamed magic."

The scientist's words had always fascinated him, but now Jarak understood them on a deeper level. The color wasn't just a visual phenomenon—it was chaos made manifest, an ever-shifting balance of forces that reflected the abyss itself.

As the swirling energy settled in his palm, Jarak began the final step. "Time to refine it into two cards," he murmured to himself, channeling mana into the ball once more. The process was delicate, requiring careful manipulation of the chaotic elements within to divide the creation into two distinct forms without losing their inherent power.

The ball split, the swirling abyssal energy dividing  into 3 separate cards, each glowing with the same chaotic hue. He could feel the difference between the 3 halves immediately. 2 were split almost evenly with around 45 each and 10%  into the last card. The first throbbed with the raw, destructive energy of the demon, the other pulsed with the majestic and regenerative strength of the phoenix. They were separate, yet linked by their shared origin in chaos, both potent in their own right. The third while connected was like a thin strand compared to the connection between the other two.

Jarak smirked, looking at the cards in his hand. "So, the demon side is stronger after all. Interesting. Looking at the third card does that mean I completed your challenge chaos."

" Chaotic Abyss Demon"

The Abyssal Rift color that covered them wasn't just an aesthetic feature—it was a mark of their chaotic origin, their connection to the untamed magic that had forged them. Each card represented a piece of the creation process, and together, they were a force to be reckoned with.

Jarak gazed at the trio of cards in his hand, the remnants of his chaotic ritual now condensed into their final forms. The air around him was thick with residual energy, like the aftermath of a storm. Each card pulsed with its own distinct aura, yet they were bound together by the chaotic forces that had birthed them.

First, he turned his attention to the Chaos Rebirth Demon card. Its surface glowed with the Abyssal Rift color—a constantly shifting mix of deep purples, electric blues, and crimson veins. The card's artwork depicted a creature that defied traditional notions of beauty: a towering demon-like figure, its body encased in golden flames. Its wings stretched wide, not feathered but formed of blazing fire, and its six glowing eyes burned with an intensity that seemed to pierce through reality itself.

Something is wrong h… Oh I see, So it's a Phoenix that even forgot itself was a Phoenix.

Jarak smirked at the contradiction. "A Phoenix so cloaked in the guise of a demon it removes it's true self. Fitting for something born of chaos."

The creature on the card exuded renewal and rebirth, but not in a gentle, nurturing way. Its rebirth was forged through fire and fury, an eruption of life from destruction. This wasn't a phoenix in the traditional sense; it was a force of primal regeneration, tearing itself apart to rise stronger each time. Its name reflected this paradox: Chaos Rebirth Phoenix—a creature that found new life in the heart of annihilation.

Jarak turned to the second card, the Chaos Annihilation Virzarth. If the phoenix embodied fiery rebirth, this card was its opposite: destruction distilled into a perfect form. The card's artwork showed a phoenix-like figure cloaked in a gentle golden glow, its body emitting a golden flame that seemed alive. Its eyes burned with cold intensity, and its outstretched talons dripped with black flames, ready to rend reality itself.

"Now this," Jarak muttered, "this is odd personified. The Phoenix had demon in it's name and the one who looks like a Phoenix has a great devil in it's name. "

The phoenix's traditional grace was replaced with a feral savagery, a creature that devoured all in its path without remorse. Yet, within its destructive aura, there was a strange elegance, as though the annihilation it wrought was a necessary force in the cycle of chaos.

" The demon had an almost perfect guise of a Phoenix. From the gentle glow to the golden flame it's like it itself forgot its origin, but it's original self leaked out just a bit exposing it's true self.

Jarak stared at the cards in his hand, his smirk faltering as the implications of his creation began to sink in. The two cards, born from the same chaotic origin, had deviated in ways he hadn't anticipated. Their forms and functions were paradoxes—intentionally or unintentionally twisted by the chaos he had tried to tame. The air crackled around him, as if Chaos itself was laughing at his confusion.

He focused on Chaos Rebirth Demon, tracing the swirling Abyssal Rift colors on its surface. The creature depicted there was undeniably a demon, yet its essence was more phoenix than demon. The golden flames were unmistakably tied to its original nature, but the way they moved, the way they devoured, hinted at something deeper. Something darker. This was a phoenix that had forsaken its purpose—or perhaps been forced to abandon it—by the chaos that birthed it.

Then he shifted his gaze to Chaos Annihilation Virzarth, the card that should have embodied destruction in its purest form. And yet, there it was: a creature that looked more like a phoenix than a demon. Its flames glowed with the gentle warmth of renewal, betraying its purpose as an annihilator. But even within that guise, hints of its demonic origin lingered—subtle cracks in the golden aura where black flames flickered like whispers of its true nature.

"Why are they… reversed?" Jarak muttered, his voice tinged with frustration and curiosity. He ran his fingers over the third card, the thin strand of chaos that connected the two main creations. It was small, almost insignificant compared to the others, but its importance couldn't be ignored. It felt like a lifeline, a clue, or perhaps Chaos's way of mocking him further.
