Chereads / I'm The Rejected Luna / Chapter 4 - chapter 4

Chapter 4 - chapter 4

Night fell,

Jack was in the palace room with Edward, Harris, Doctor Celia and the elders, discussing the seal that Isabella had.

"So what is it, Uncle Luke? Is the seal dangerous, so someone sealed Isabella's power?" asked Jack to one of the elders in front of him.

"I seem to have heard of the crescent seal, if I'm not mistaken, my grandfather once kept a book about it," Uncle Luke replied.

Edward replied, "Can you bring us that book?"

Uncle Christian took out a well-worn book from the old bag he was carrying. "Don't worry, elder brother, I brought it with me because I'm sure we'll need it."

He opened the book cover to cover until the doctor stopped him.

"Stop, Uncle!" said Doctor Celia, pointing to a picture that was there. "These marks are exactly the same as the ones I saw on Luna's back."

Uncle Simon was also surprised. "The moon goddess must have really blessed our pack."

Jack couldn't contain his curiosity. "What do you mean, Uncle Simon?"

"It's a mark of the Moon Goddess' Alpha," Uncle Luke replied. "A person who possesses this mark must be gifted with such great power that it is sealed away until the owner is strong enough to control it."

Uncle Christian nodded in agreement. "According to the information in this book, Luna Isabella is probably the daughter of the moon goddess. It is rare, and it is explained here that the daughter of the moon goddess descended 1000 years ago when the dark lord of the vampire clan attacked the werewolves."

"Is it possible that there will be a war for the daughter of the moon goddess to come down to our earth?" said Harris, the Gamma.

"There could be a big war, so we need her power to protect the pack," said Uncle Simon.

Jack stood up and took a vote, "But I don't want to involve my mate in this war, I don't want to use her, let alone hurt her, I've been waiting for her arrival for decades."

The Elders immediately bowed down to him in compassion. "Forgive us Alpha, we were only speculating."

Jack exhaled and sat down again. "I don't want Luna to get hurt, and we should be taking care of her instead of exploiting her unstable powers."

In the room

I fell asleep with sweat running down my temples, dreaming of meeting a very elegant woman in a garden with bright lights.

"Hello, my daughter," the woman greeted me, making me take a step toward her.

Her face was so unfamiliar that I didn't recognize her. "Who are you?"

The beautiful woman guided me to sit down, her hands feeling smooth as cotton.

"I am the Moon Goddess," she explained.

I almost didn't expect that. "Moon goddess?"

She nodded, her face glowing. "Yes, my daughter, and it is time for you to meet your destiny, the destiny I promised you before you were even born into this world."

My eyebrows knit together in disbelief. "What destiny are you talking about? I am already too tired to follow your game of fate, Moon Goddess."

"Surely a destiny that will bring happiness to you as well as peace to the entire werewolf nation, which is why I brought you to Jack, the Alpha of the Black Moon Pack, after your rejection by Xavier."

Remembering my past made me not want to be in false hope. "I don't want a mate, I'm already disappointed in you. You've taken everything from me! My father, my mother and my adoptive parents, my mate and my wolf side that went nowhere."

The moon goddess just smiled a little. "One day you will definitely meet Eve."

Again I was confused. "Eve?"

"She is your wolf side that will protect you later," the moon goddess said.

"But when?!" I asked curiously.

"I can't tell you now, but sooner or later you will meet her. Now go back and try to enjoy your present life."

I shook my head with a hand that was about to stop her from leaving. "Answer me! When will I meet Eve?"

"Be patient my daughter, the time will come soon. But first you must be able to accept Jack, only he can be the bridge for you to meet Eve." The moon goddess' eyes gave me great hope.

Until her shadow slowly disappeared from my eyes.

"Moon Goddess! Where did you go?!" I shouted, suddenly feeling alone in the garden.

Meanwhile, in real life, I was still sleeping restlessly, not to mention the crescent moon sign that continued to shine on my back.

I awoke from my dream as the burning and heat returned to my back.

"Ahhh... why does it hurt so much!" I half yelled.

And it just so happened that Jack and the others were coming out of a room they were using for discussion.

"Isabella," Jack muttered as he faintly heard my moaning.

At that moment, Jack ran into my room, his face so worried. I was surprised when Jack suddenly walked in and approached me.

"What's the matter, Bell?" Jack asked, cupping my face.

"My back hurts like hell," I replied quietly.

Jack was silent for a moment, digesting the words of the Elders who had said earlier that Jack should mark me to ease the pain I was currently experiencing.

"Bella..." he called, making me turn my head.

"Can I mark you now? The elders said I should do it to ease the pain you are currently feeling," Jack said, which surprised me.

I don't know what they discussed in the palace, but I don't care because the most important thing is that this pain is gone soon.

I nodded, my temples wet with sweat.

Jack pushed my hair aside so that my neck was exposed in front of him. Jack's eyes turned red and his fangs showed.

I closed my eyes as Jack sank his fangs into my neck, it was painful and aching. It was certain that my neck was bleeding, until I finally opened my eyes and felt the soft strokes there.

Yes, Jack was licking the blood on my neck. And immediately the pain in my back began to subside, but somehow I felt so sleepy that I immediately fell asleep in his arms.

Just then a tattoo was beautifully engraved on my neck, signaling that I belonged completely to Jack.

Jack stroked my back and kissed it briefly. "Good night, my future Luna."

At the same time Jack laid me down on the bed and covered me with a thick blanket.

"I hope to announce you soon in front of my people that you are the Luna of the Black Moon Pack, and until that day comes, I will first make you trust me and even love me. No matter how bad your past is, I will accept it and turn that suffering into a happiness you will never forget," he murmured weakly.

The short peck even felt like a light stroke of cotton until Jack finally walked away, leaving me alone in the room.
