It was 7:00 am in the morning. The alarm clock was ringing but Hideki was still asleep. Irritated from the noise, he suddenly woke up. He was still half asleep. He smashed the alarm clock with all his might and broke it into pieces.
"Shut up! You damn clock! Ruining my mood early in the morning."
Hideki realized what he had done as he gets up from the bed, yawns and stretches his body.
"Oh great! Now i have to go and buy another one after school."
Hideki sighs for a moment and scratches
the back of his head.
"Well, last night was a total pain in the butt. I had to go through all the trouble of finding my room. However, the omelette rice Ren made for me were truly amazing. That made my day for sure."
He was talking to himself when suddenly, the phone began to ring. It was Ren.
"Ren!? It's 7:10 am! Why is she calling me this early in the morning!? Could it be that I've forgotten something back at the mansion?"
Hideki picks up the call with many questions popping up in his head.
"Hello Ren, good morning."
"Hello dear brother, a very good morning to you too!"
"So....what is it that you called me for?"
"Oh i just wanted to remind you about something."
"Oh...is that so? What is it then tell me."
(The truth is, i just wanted to talk to you dear brother. Wait...let me think. Maybe, i can play a little trick on you).
Ren giggled for a bit.
"Hey, why are you laughing Ren?"
Hideki asked her with curiosity.
"What is it that you called me for? C'mon tell me now. I am getting late."
"Uhmm! Uhmm! Dear brother, are you still at your apartment?"
"Yes, why?"
"Do you know what time is it?"
"Yup! It's 7:15 am. Why?"
"And the school timing is 7:30 am. I hope you didn't forget about the entrance ceremony. Because of it, you have to arrive at 7:30 am."
"I did knew about the ceremony but i didn't know about the timings. Oh crap! I'm gonna be late now!
(But i shouldn't lose hope. I'm gonna show her what I've got so she doesn't worry about me).
"Hey Ren! Don't worry about me. You know that i am Hideki Ryuuga. I've got the reflexes and agility as my specialties.
I'll be all right."
Ren giggles again leaving Hideki all curious.
"Hey Ren, why are you laughing?"
"Oh! It's nothing. I think you shouldn't waste your time in talking with me or your going to be really late.Okay bye dear brother!"
"Hey! Wai-. Oh maaan! What is she up to now? But i think she was right. I should go take a bath now because I have no time left."
Hideki drops his phone on the bed and goes to take a bath. After that, he brushes his teeth and puts on the instant hair colour. The colour was black so it could hide his personality at school and outside the apartment.
" Well i think it doesn't feel so bad after putting the hair colour on."
Hideki looks at himself in the mirror.
"Well, i look a little bit different from my usual self. But i guess after putting on the fake contacts, i would look totally different. But i can do that after getting changed."
Hideki goes to his room in his underwear and opens his suit case to get his school uniform from there. He did not need to get it pressed because someone had already done that. Hideki sighs as he knew who was that someone.
"Ren goes all out of her way for me. I am really a lucky guy for having such a cute and caring sister."
After getting changed, Hideki puts his contacts on and goes to look himself in the mirror. He was amazed by how he looked.
"Woaah! I look a lot different from my usual self now. And after putting this mask on....."
Hideki took out a black mask from his pocket and wore it. Then he looked at himself in the mirror again. He couldn't believe what he saw.
"Woaah! Who's that guy? I can't even recognise my own self. Well, i hope it works at school too! I should take it off for now and have my breakfast."
Hideki takes his mask off and keeps it in his hand as he goes to the dinner table. He puts the mask on the table.
"Now...about breakfast....oh i get it! I should just warm up the left overs from last night in the oven. Yeah! That should do it. I remember only eating half of the omelette rice that Ren had packed for me so i guess it'll be fine."
Hideki took out the omelette rice from the fridge and put it in the oven and warmed it up.
"Yummm! It looks delicious. I should eat it before it gets cold."
Without wasting anymore time he ate all of the omelette rice. Then he quickly got up from the dinner table, wore his mask and left for school after locking his apartment and taking his school bag.He got out of the apartment building after running downstairs to the ground floor.As soon as he reached the footpath just out the parking of the apartment building, he turned left and started running. Hesitated, he looked at his clock. It was already 7:30 am.
"Oh craaap! I can't help it now. I'm already late. Well, if i keep on going on like this i would be there before 7:35."
Hideki was running all the way to his school that suddenly his eyes witnessed someone beautiful. She was a girl with long blonde hair and blue eyes. Her age seemed to be same as Hideki's age. She was standing on the branch of a cherry tree beside the footpath on the other side of the road.It looked like as if she was stuck.
"Who is she and what's she doing up there? She could fall and get herself hurt."
As he was thinking while looking at her, she looked back at him. Both of their gazes met and stayed still for a while when suddenly she stumbled upon the branch. She was just about to fall when fortunately she got hold of herself. Hideki got panicked after seeing that. He instantly rushed over to the other side of the road.
"Hey! What the hell are you doing up there!? You know that you could and get hurt!"
"Who are you!? My mom!?"
"Hey miss, excuse me, i was just being considerate."
"Well, i didn't ask you to do that."
"Don't you think you're being a little rude miss."
"Sorry, can't care less about that. And besides, i have more important things to do right now."
The girl diverted her attention away from Hideki towards the branch that was just above her. Now it seemed like she was trying to get something. After focusing more, Hideki spotted a white coloured handkerchief that was stuck above her on the tree.
(Was she trying to get this all the time).
Suddenly, she stumbled again and this time she fell for real. Hideki's body moved involuntarily and he grabbed her in his arms before she hit the ground and get hurt.
"Woah! If i had been even a little bit far away, you could've get hurt. So, are you okay?"
She looked at him in his eyes. They were sparkling and looking into hers at the same time. His hair were flowing in the air. He looked like her knight in a shiny armour who had came to her rescue. He also had a smile of satisfaction on his face. Her heart started racing. It was pounding really hard.
(W-What's happening with me? Why am i having some kind of strange feeling).
She was blushing really hard at that time.
"Hey!? I was asking that are you fine? You aren't hurt right?"
"Huuuh!? Y-Yeah, i guess."
He was still holding her in his arms.
"H-Hey! Would you please let go of me now?"
"Oh! I am really sorry about that. I didn't mean to hold you for so long so please forgive me!"
(Oh crap! What was i thinking. She is going to kill me now for sure!).
"U-Uhh, it's f-fine. I am sure that you didn't really mean to do that."
Hideki was a little bit surprised after hearing this from the same girl who was insulting him.
(Well, maybe some people can be unpredictable sometimes).
Hideki looked at the handkerchief that was still stuck on the tree.
"Hey! Were you trying to get that handkerchief all this time?"
"Yes! It's something really precious to me."
"Oh! I see. I won't ask anymore questions then..."
"Huh? What do you mean?"
"It's precious to you right? Then i can get it for you. Just wait for a second...Here i go!"
In no time, Hideki climbed up the tree and came back with the handkerchief.
The girl was totally amazed by Hideki's reflexes and agility.
"Here... it's your's right? Take it!"
"Uh, thank you!"
"Oh, don't mention it."
Hideki looked at his clock. His feet froze to the ground. It was 7:45 am.
"Hehehe...i guess it can't be helped then. Late on the first day of school. I should make a run for it then."
Hideki was just going to run away that suddenly, the girl held his hand.
"H-Hey! W-Wait! Would you please tell me your name before leaving?"
Hideki gave a soft smile after hearing that.
"Yeah sure! It's Hideki. Well then, goodbye."
Hideki ran off after telling her that.
"So it was Hideki...I know there's no point in remembering his name because i don't even know if we'll meet again or not but I don't know why i asked. I hope we meet again some day Hideki."
