After I waited for Xavier to take the bold step to give up on the throne and it wasn't forthcoming, I knew I had to take that step on my own and that meant talking to Mum about it.
I wanted to wait but Jessie had been bothering me about speaking to the queen mother so I decided to go finally after today's workload at the office. I was already so tired of working under Xavier as the CEO and plans were in place to get him out of there.
I was already dressed and prepared when Morgana joined me for breakfast. I was taken aback for a bit knowing she usually slept in before I left for work.
"You're awake?" I asked her, seeing her sleepy face. She sat across from me so that I could see her face clearly.
"Yes, I didn't want to miss you today as well." She said, leaning back and facing me, directly. Her eyes lingered on me and shivers ran through my spine.
"Miss me?" I asked, taking a sip of my coffee. "What do you mean?"
