The three kaiju exchanged worried glances with each other. Mothra had a bad feeling about this, Destroyah was a tough opponent her attacks weren't going to land a scratch on him they would only end up hurting her. Looking at Godzilla who took a deep breath she wondered if all three of them would even make it out alive. A few feet away from them was the destructive Destroyah and a showdown was about to start, Godzilla is going to have to think of something fast before they perish.
"It's over Destroyah!" The giant reptile lunged himself at his opponent which surprised Anguirus and Mothra because they weren't expecting him to attack so suddenly without any form of defense. Mothra was worried sick now.
Anguirus rolled passed the two fighting monsters and stayed behind Destroyah getting ready in case the enormous crustacean falls back, he would land on Anguirus' spikes giving Godzilla the leeway to keep him in place.
However, there was something else the trio had forgotten which is bound to happen any second now, and it was catastrophic. Godzilla had to get out of there.
Grabbing each other's limbs, the two kaiju tried their best to stay on the ground if one of them loses their balance it would make it easier for the other to score a victory. Unfortunately for Godzilla, his opponent was just too heavy and the enlarged claws gripping onto his shoulders were starting to push him down further. The giant reptile let out a roar of despair as Destroyah sank his teeth into the coated neck that other kaiju struggled to get ahold of in battle.
"Godzilla no please- Mothra was at the brink of collapsing from fright as she flew towards them in an attempt to stop the duel.
The King of Monster's efforts were in vain as Destroyah threw him to the ground and hissed at the trio. To him, this battle was pointless none of them stood a chance and they still decided to intervene. It was amusing to say the least, now Mothra was on her way to rescue her dear friend.
"It's no use time to decimate this place once and for all!" Destroyah glanced at Mothra and dodged her attack leaving the moth in bewilderment.
"Stop you don't know what you're doing!" Was all Mothra could say things seemed hopeless now Destroyah was going to get what he wants even if it means obliterating everything at once. If only she had the strength to bury him in the ground she was too fragile.
The giant crustacean flew to the clouds watching the three kaiju struggling to get on their feet. This is it Godzilla I told you this day would come. Not far from where the situation unfolded was Gigan, laughing at Godzilla who was slowly healed by Mothra. All the trouble of bringing them to this part of the forest paid off, the King of Monsters was down and Destroyah was about to finish them off, he couldn't wait to see it live in action. While Destroyah was charging up, Gigan waved at the trio and worded 'farewell' to which Anguirus snapped making Mothra a little annoyed during the healing process she was trying her best to concentrate.
A buzzing sound startled Gigan as he looked to his right to see Destroyah getting ready to strike their opponents. The space kaiju timidly flew over to him admiring the power that Destroyah possessed it was no wonder the galactic alliance highly respected Destroyah he was beyond their level of tactics and strength. The horn on his head was now glowing a bright orange as Destroyah looked down and let out a call of warning which frightened Gigan this was a sign that something devastating was about to happen. Gigan stopped at his tracks thinking about it and the outcome of this battle. He desired such power that he could use to prove the other kaiju wrong about his capabilities.
The three kaiju watched in horror as Destroyah's horn lit up the sky with flashes of lightning at every corner. Mothra urged Godzilla to get up but he was too weak to do so, Destroyah's attacks had completely surpassed her healing abilities. Flapping her wings, Mothra tried to speed up the process while watching Destroyah at the same time.
Meanwhile Anguirus crept towards his two friends he was trying to think of a plan without being seen, Destroyah's main focus was on Godzilla if he did a sneak attack once he lands the giant crustacean would be shocked and that give Godzilla ample time to get away. But Gigan was there too and he might attack him while Destroyah goes after Godzilla and Mothra because of her abilities. Worst of all he might target Mothra and both Anguirus and Godzilla didn't want that there would be too many injuries and in the midst of that Godzilla would only get weaker if another kaiju attacks him there were now five troublemakers on the island.
"The show is about to start!" Gigan yelled, the space kaiju's new leader was about to attack Godzilla and Mothra the rest could only watch.
Without hesitation, Destroyah made a dive down to the spot where Godzilla laid nothing was stopping him now the crustacean was travelling at high speed it was impossible for anyone to catch up to him now let alone escape.
The sound of static erupted causing Mothra to skid away from Godzilla. Although she was at her limit, the moth persevered to at least hold onto Godzilla's foot and drag him away before Destroyah could reach them. Godzilla just wake up already! We have to get out of here! Mothra was frustrated if only Godzilla didn't attack Destroyah without thinking but could she blame him? There wasn't any option the crustacean would've attacked them anyway. All hope seemed lost now, Mothra remembered how keen they were on stopping Gigan and his plans, now it had come to this. For the last time, Mothra used all her strength to pull Godzilla away from the direction Destroyah was coming from, there was a slight budge, the moth managed to get him away while flying but it still didn't make much of a difference. Destroyah was getting closer it only takes a few seconds before they're off his radar, they could only rely on miracles now, Mothra tried again.
Looking up at his rescuer, Godzilla sighed and gave Mothra a half smile. The moth knew that was bad news she dread hearing what he was about to say next. No I'm not leaving you here we'll be fine I'm about to lift you up Anguirus is close. Why did I have to be in this situation? Don't say a word I don't wanna hear it. Attempting to lift him up again, Mothra used all her force to get him off the ground. Her breath was getting shorter by the minute Mothra didn't know how long she could handle the intense pains and aches on her arms and shoulders the large red figure was only ten seconds away now, they were doomed.
"Mothra just fly away from this place and warn the others the fate of Monster Island is in your hands go.."
"Just shut it! Anguirus and I aren't abandoning our friend! We made a promise remember? I believe we can-
Mothra was cut off by Destroyah's unsettling laughter he was close.
Turning around, she was now face-to-face with the large glowing horn and a pair of emotionless yellow eyes that peered into her consciousness. This was it they were about to become Destroyah's victims. The moth felt her whole world shatter she couldn't even take one last look at Godzilla to see his reaction, everything happened so fast.
Suddenly a shorter figure appeared in front of her blocking the sight of the incoming Destroyah as light started flashing right before her eyes.
She knew who it was, pain immediately struck her as the soil erupted into particles that engulfed both her and Godzilla. What happened next was up to her interpretation, for everything blacked out leaving the sound of silence.
"Anguirus! This can't be happening! Why did you..."
Flying through the thick mist, Mothra searched the area for both of her friends. She couldn't lose them. The back of Anguirus was sturdy enough to withstand attacks but Destroyah's was on the next level which is why Mothra was questioning Anguirus' decision. She didn't mean to respond that way things were getting too complicated for her now there's a possibility Anguirus was severely injured and with Destroyah around healing them on the spot was going to be nightmare that she wished would just end, this whole thing was.
"Guys where are you?!" Mothra yelled the forest was eerily silent.
For a minute the giant moth thought she saw the silhouette of Destroyah which made her legs weak, he was trying to find her in this mist. She had to act fast before Destroyah finds all three of them.
Before she flew towards the spot where she was healing Godzilla, the giant moth heard a groan coming from one of the piles of debris. It sounded like Anguirus which made Mothra's feel a little more relieved though she was still worried about his condition.
The familiar-looking figure was getting clearer in her view, it was a race against time as Mothra had to hurry and get both Godzilla and Anguirus to safety. Seeing the lone kaiju from afar caused a deep sense of unsettlement within Mothra, it looked like Anguirus was in an awful state, he was still and based on his breathing patterns was seriously hurt.
Mothra sped up the trio weren't the only ones here. The cackles of Destroyah filled the gloomy place, sometimes they sounded far away but most of the time they were near her. It made her jump every time she heard it especially when it was beside her. The thought of it struck her as she instinctively turned to her side. Large claws reached out ready to land a devastating slash there was no way she could avoid it in time. She had to stop there was no other choice.
Suddenly a flashing blue beam struck the kaiju at the other side opposite from where it came from. Mothra immediately knew who it was.
Beyond the clouds of particles was no other than Godzilla, he was back on his feet. Mothra took a deep breath and smiled, she wasn't alone anymore now all she had to do was help Anguirus and get out of here together.
The larger and menacing crustacean got up and growled at the two kaiju he seemed unhappy with the treatment he got. Mothra took that as a sign to get out of that area before things get ugly, the giant moth flew over to where Anguirus laid and began checking his wounds.
"I give you one last warning Godzilla let us finish what we came here to settle or you're going to regret it. Afterall Monster Island will crumble if this battle goes on and I'm certain you wouldn't want that." Destroyah sneered as he slowly walked closer to Godzilla who seemed unfazed. That being said, Destroyah was just another manipulative kaiju who lacked respect.
Godzilla continued walking the kaiju in front of him couldn't believe that despite what happened the giant lizard was still willing to put up a fight.
"Well I have to say you're a remarkable one. You defeated King Ghidorah twice which is impressive. Which means I must be up against a very powerful opponent." Destroyah spread his wings as a form of intimidation to lower Godzilla's defenses.
"You're one to talk." The giant reptile slammed his tail on the ground glaring at the kaiju in front of him.
"Oh yes I am." Getting closer Destroyah began running at full speed towards the giant reptile, anticipating another round of brutality.
Within a few seconds when everything was slowing down, both kaiju were at each other's throats going at it endlessly. This was going to be another long fight and with Godzilla's condition who knows how long he could keep up with this.
