Chapter 29 - ch29- Unstoppable Growth

Yesterday, despite killing so many monsters, Alex hadn't accumulated 100% experience points. After resetting his abilities, his experience had been wiped back to 1%. Now, with the first monster of the day defeated, he had jumped to 81%. At this rate, another kill would push him to level up.

Suppressing the urge to level up immediately, Alex instead called out to his teammates: "Chris, Dean, you two come finish this one off!"

Chris and Dean had been eagerly waiting for their turn. Without hesitation, they grabbed their weapons and charged at the remaining blue blade fiend. While they weren't as composed as Alex, they managed to bring the creature down with relative ease.

Compared to Alex, Chris and Dean were more chaotic in their fighting style, but the enhancements from their new skills gave them the edge they needed. Chris's defense was especially notable, as his **Petrified Skin** made him nearly impervious to damage. Dean's **Backstab** skill allowed him to deal a massive amount of damage when striking from behind. Coupled with the weakening aura from the quest scroll, the regular blue blade fiends were no match for them.

Watching from a distance, Tanya and the others didn't fully realize how far Chris and Dean had come, still seeing a gap between them and Alex. But for the two guys themselves, this was a victory worth celebrating.

"Wow, now I get why Alex felt so unstoppable yesterday. This **Petrified Skin** is ridiculous! I took a hit and barely felt it," Chris marveled, shaking his head.

Matt shot him a teasing look. "If you keep bragging, we'll take you down ourselves."

While no one expected to match Alex's absurd luck, Chris's progress gave everyone hope. If they could keep fighting, maybe they'd have a chance to improve their potential too.

Onlookers from behind the school gates watched in quiet awe. Seeing Alex's group growing stronger made some others start organizing their own teams, hoping to venture out and face the monsters for their own gain.

Despite their growing strength, Alex's team remained cautious. They had no intention of straying too far from the school. Instead, they decided to stick close and clear out the roaming monsters nearby.

The sounds of their earlier battle had already drawn five or six new monsters toward them. Alex, not wanting to take any risks, split the group into two teams: one to engage the creatures and the other to stay on standby.

The main combat team consisted of the fighters from yesterday—Matt, Tanya, Chris, and Dean—along with a few others. Among them were seven guys and three girls, including Tanya and two others, Sarah and Megan. The standby team, mostly made up of girls and a few support members like Jake and Luke, was ready to jump in if needed.

The plan was simple: rotate the girls through combat in small groups to help them adjust to fighting. While it was slow and complicated, it was a safe way to train them without overwhelming them all at once.

The five blue blade fiends rushed in with fierce determination, but Alex's team was ready. Leading the charge was Alex, his F+ agility making him the fastest among them. Dean followed closely, using his **Quick Step** to temporarily boost his speed, though he made sure not to get too far ahead and risk getting overwhelmed.

Chris, Tanya, and the others followed closely behind. The moment they engaged, everyone was eager to try out their new skills, causing a bit of chaos.

Suddenly, a **Yellow Elemental Cage** burst from the ground, trapping two of the blue blade fiends inside and startling everyone. The cage, about the size of a bathroom stall, contained the monsters for only a few seconds before they broke free. But the delay was enough—Alex and the others swiftly eliminated the remaining three monsters.

Alex himself cut through one of the creatures with ease, dispatching it with three swift strikes. Chris and Dean, more in sync now, took down their target even faster. The last creature, bound by Sarah's vines, didn't stand a chance. Matt finished it off with a well-aimed stone slab, and Megan's **Frost Arrow** sealed its fate.

As Alex finished off another monster, his experience bar jumped another 80%, bringing him to 161%. To his surprise, his stats now reflected a 10% damage boost from the extra experience, and his **Violet Edge** blade made his attacks 210% more powerful.

One of the remaining blue blade fiends, fresh from breaking out of the yellow cage, met Alex head-on. With a single swipe, Alex carved off more than half its health, and his second blow, though not fatal, was more than enough to finish it off.

What left Alex astonished was that even after leveling up, defeating the third monster granted him another 80% experience boost.

Alex quickly realized that leveling up not only increased his experience bar but also boosted his damage output. With his current 240% experience, his damage had increased by another 10%. Combined with the **Violet Edge** blade's effect, Alex's standard attacks now dealt 220% damage.

After the others finished off the remaining monsters, Alex asked curiously, "Did you guys get experience points from those kills?"

Dean, puzzled, checked his stats. "Yeah, same as yesterday. I'm getting 40% experience per kill. And once I hit 100%, I get a 10% damage boost."

Alex nodded, processing this new information. As his team grew stronger, so did their potential for growth. Each fight brought them closer to becoming even more formidable.
