She drove through the abandoned streets of California feeling rather scared.
She could not help but doubt her actions.
'What if it didn't work? What if he only wanted to play along? No, he would have come for her, there was no way he would want her to get to the airport.'
Reassuring herself of an unsure position, she zoomed speedily towards the engulfing darkness of the night.
It was just 9:00pm at that time; when she arrived at the airport.
She walked towards the counter, panting heavily.
"Please, I am Sabrina Milford and I need an emergency flight back to Canada, I will pay you handsomely if you can help me with this" she said to the lady behind the counter.
"You will have to wait more patiently ma'am, I can't help you until the lights are back on and power is restored" the lady said and Sabrina guessed that she was smiling.
She was nodding with some relief when the power was restored but...
It didn't take long for her to connect all dots and realize that she had fallen right into his trap.
"You can't escape Milford, this part of California belongs to me. I run it!" he yelled as he made his way to her.
She shivered in fear as she watched him burn in rage.
"This is Atherton Milford, I own Atherton! You can't leave unless I say so, and for stressing me so much, you are gonna get punished real hard" he said and grabbed her hand, pulling her with him.
"I-i c-c-can explain Damien, I promise" she said as she tried to free herself from his forceful grip.
He pushed her towards the car and she hit her head on the windscreen.
"I-i-i d-d-don't like it here, I can serve you at another place but I don't want to live here" she managed to say as she felt her past hauled at her.
"Get in the car" he ordered with a calm tone but, Sabrina? She was still very much afraid, once again, she felt subdued to another lifestyle.
First, her childhood and now, her freedom.
"I hate you" she mumbled inaudibly as she stared at his handsome face.
'How did he manage to find her without getting injured, he was diabetics patient and despite his health knowledge he took in too much sugar but depended solely on the drug. How did he make it?' she asked herself so many unanswerable questions but that only gave her the courage to want to run as far as she could from him.
He was only going to bring pain in her life and she was not ready to give him a chance to do so.
So, she was willing to take as many risks as she could. Just for her deserved freedom.
THE NEXT DAY. AT EXACTLY 3PM.
Sabrina sat quietly at the table at the extreme of the restaurant. She was too busy thinking about her life that she didn't even notice the impending trouble.
"You did quite well by seducing Damien, you know, I was willing to always be there for him but he chose you instead, who do you think you are, huh?" the lady yelled, hitting the table and disrupting Sabrina's thoughts.
"You are instigating a fight against the wrong person, you won't enjoy the outcome of all this ok?" she warned, feeling less interested in whatever she had in mind.
She had hardly gotten back to her world when she received a slap on her cheek.
She stood up furiously but then she remembered that she had physical anxiety problems and couldn't engage herself in a quarrel.
But the lady didn't stop at that, she reached for her hair and pulled the life out of it, she attempted another slap when Damien Interrupted.
Sabrina fell back to her seat, panting heavily as her heartbeat increased, she was losing it and she needed to regain her composure and that was only if she wanted to go home and not visit the hospital.
"You seem to be in a haste to pick on my wife, Miss Harry" Damien said as he walked in with a lot of composure, and at that moment, Sabrina envied him, she wished she could have maintained her composure like that, maybe she wouldn't be in her personal mess.
"M-mr B-b-bane, your little wife started it, she used her title on me and took my seat, I grew really furious that I couldn't help but hit her" Mrs Harry tried to justify herself.
"Really?" Damien asked with curiosity as he turned to Sabrina.
She stared at him in shock and anger.
"Do you actually believe that?" she blurted out angrily.
Like that was all he wanted to hear, he signalled to his guards, who in turn seized the Lady Harry.
"W-w-what a-a-are you going to do?" The lady asked in fear.
Sabrina was satisfied by her tone and she hoped Damien could see that in her but... she totally forgot about his newly discovered character. He had somewhat become over possessive.
"You hit her because she stole your right to sit, right?"
His voice had suddenly changed and his expression went cold.
"I blight your situation Miss Harry and so, I found a solution. You will sit on this same chair, for three weeks, eating, drinking and doing everything you need to do, right here. And you should know that the moment you stand up, I will order my men to kill you right on spot" he warned with a smile and ordered the shocked Sabrina to get up and follow him.
She wasn't ready to leave at least not until she set things right.
"Damien" she called as she stood from the seat.
"Yes Sabby" he replied and turned to her.
"I know that you are trying to get justice for me but I think this is too much, sitting in a place for three weeks is too much, it is as good as being dead" she said calmly and slowly.
"I know" he said as his eyes shone brightly. "Consider this your punishment and don't forget, you punished her but I will release her... After three weeks" he said and walked out of the restaurant, not giving room for another conversation.
Sabrina bit her lips as she walked devastatedly out of the restaurant.
"She is going to die right there Sabby, she can't make it out alive" he whispered into her ear and her brains were sharp to understand the remaining part of the sentence despite sounding complete, she knew that her death would surely be pinned on her and that would be the beginning of a lifelong problem.
"Get in the car Sabby" he said as he walked towards the driver's space.
She sighed as she boarded the car, she felt the déjà vu as she shut the door.
