Damian jumped to his feet and rushed toward Mike, who was grinning proudly in front of the computer. Grace followed close behind, and soon they were all crammed into the small PC room, eyes fixed on the screen.
Mike pointed excitedly at a window open on the screen. "It's done! Check this out," he said, his tone practically buzzing with pride.
Damian and Grace exchanged a confused look. The screen was filled with blinking green lights and windows with code, but none of it made sense to them.
Damian glanced at Mike. "And…?"
Mike shook his head with mock disappointment, as if he couldn't believe their lack of understanding. "Alright, let me break it down for you two ignorant folks." He tapped the screen. "See this blinking green? It means we're tapped into their entire comms system—radios, walkie-talkies, phones, anything with a microphone. We've got access. We can listen in and even speak to them directly."
