Chapter 2
As I took this little girl by the arm, I thought about the situation a little.
The atmosphere of this world is almost similar to where I come from. The spiritual energy is abundant like 'Little Garden', thanks to this spiritual energy I can recover in a year and return back to my world... But for now I don't intend to go back even recovering in a year, I want to explore this world for a while. I'll see with my own eyes what I call "Blade Dance", if it's interesting I want to continue watching another "Blade Dance" event, and then go back to my world.
"By the way."
I started talking to her, after all there was one thing I don't have information about.
"Yes?"
"Where do I have to go to get to that 'Blade Dance' event."
"Did you really just ask?"
"Yes, after all I want to know."
She narrowed her eyes and then rubbed her forehead with her fingers.
"In that direction." She pointed to my left. "If we go in that direction, we will at some point reach the 'Spiritual Colosseum' of the Ordesia Empire. Once I arrive I will have to talk to someone to enter as a participant."
"Oh." I am filled with interest in the person who helps this girl. "Who is the person who helps you?"
Ren was thoughtful before replying: "She's the 'Old Witch', thanks to her I will be able to participate in the "Blade Dance" as an independent elementalist. But I have to get to the 'Spiritual Colosseum.'"
"Mmm..." We can get there fast or we can travel slow... "Fine, then we'll go to that place as quickly as possible so you can check in."
"No need to go so fast--- AAAAHHH!"
I jumped into the trees to travel faster, I didn't care what the girl was going to say, but her scream is very annoying.
Reaching the top of a tree I jumped harder to get a better look at the place I should get to.
From the heights one could easily see an immense black coliseum with several sharp points like teeth.
"I guess we should get to that place, right?"
I pointed with a finger to that coliseum.
"Y-Yes!"
I suppose the vertigo at the height made her stutter.
"This is crazy!"
She exclaimed once we began to descend to reach the mainland.
The wind began to obstruct her eyes as she took her hands to cover it.
In my case, I was calm, this was not a problem.
We were close to touching the ground, but thanks to my superhuman abilities we fell without difficulty.
"Well, I know where I have to go."
"Huh..."
I started running towards that place, thanks to my speed we will arrive in a few seconds.
❅────✧✦✧────❅•
Seng's exaggerated speed broke the human limit, destroying some trees as the ground cracked every time his feet touched the ground.
My head was dizzy with vertigo and having the urge to vomit, I didn't mind throwing up on Sengo, as it's his fault.
"Don't even think about throwing up on me."
Listen to Sengo's claim... You know what, I will.
"WOW!"
"Tsk!"
Before I know it...
I was flying through the air.
"Damn Sengo!"
He had escaped from getting dirty because of me, leaving me alone flying in the air because of his speed.
❅────✧✦✧────❅•
Almost.
Watch as she flew in the air as she splashed on the ground and destroyed several trees with her body because of the speed she was going.
After a few seconds, she stopped.
Sighed. "Well, at least she came out alive."
I got to her in an instant, after all she didn't fly very far.
Look at her eyes moving, still dizzy, as well as her body being injured. Especially her back.
(The cure, at least its condition is not serious.)
I brought my hand to her back and then sent my spiritual energy to begin healing her. The few bones that had been fractured returned to the way they had been before.
(Well, now that she's still unconscious, I'll take her in an instant to that coliseum.)
❅────✧✦✧────❅•
The rays of light began to bother me.
I gently rubbed my eyes with my fingers.
"Welcome to Mough's location! Pass! Pass! I have the best liqueur in Ordesia!"
I began to hear animated voices from several people...
(Wait! When I fell asleep!)
I was also sleeping in a bed, and looking around. This was a room!
"Oh, you've woken up."
This brought me déjà vu.
Look to my right where Sengo was sitting in a wooden chair, near the open window as if he had been looking at the people walking outside this room.
"I must say that this event is very lively. I have seen many people passing by on this street, some merchants easily selling some of their products."
Sengo leaned against the window with one of his arm as a support for his jaw as he continued to look at the street.
"By the way, you have to go to register, right?"
"Right!"
I got out of bed and started running to jump out of the window.
"You have to go to the old witch to tell her I'm already here!"
(…) Sengo narrowed his eyes as he followed behind Ren. (Because I don't better travel with her to get to this place easily...) That was Sengo's thought.
Ren was running at breakneck speed down the main street without any problems, easily dodging people. She looked up to see that she was near the coliseum, where some people were leaving and others were entering the coliseum as a mere spectacle knowing that in two days the "Blade Dance" would begin.
Entering the coliseum and now going through some corridors and then going up some stairs that led to the upper corridors of the coliseum.
She began to look for the room that old Greyworth had pointed out to her. Which it would be easy for her to look for knowing that that room would be protected by the Elementalist to protect the people who were inside that room.
Passing through some corridors, she found that room.
There were two adult women guarding the double oak door.
Arriving at them calmly, she introduced herself.
"My name is Ren Ashbell, my tutor is Greyworth Ciel Mais."
"The 'Twilight Witch'!" They exclaimed.
"Yes." Ren nodded.
"Who is he?" They asked for the person behind Ren.
"Oh, him. I found him injured in the woods while traveling. His name is Sengo."
"Hello." Sengo smiled, raising his right hand, which was not with a bandage. "I'll wait here, surely inside there are people with power and influence."
"Good." Ren path to enter the room.
The door behind her closed. She began to look better inside the room to see several people. She easily recognized some of them, after all... A few are kings.
"Oh! Who is little Ojou-chan!" An older man with well-combed blond hair and violet eyes, wearing tailored clothes, spoke animatedly. He was the next King of the Ordesia Empire, Andrev Ray Ordesia.
(He only needs his father's old man to pass away to become King of Ordesia.)
"What a cute girl!" The woman next to the next king commented with a radiant smile. She was wearing an elegant red dress, with gold jewellery that could be seen on her. And wearing a gemstone headband atop her purple hair, she is Marget Ray Ordesia, wife of Andrev Ray Ordesia.
Ren could see hidden behind the dress, a cute girl with short violet hair the same color as her eyes. The girl realized that she was being watched by Ren, became nervous and completely hiding.
"Come on, Fianna, don't be nervous. Say hello."
Listening to her mother, she slightly stuck her head out.
"H-Hello, my name is Fianna Ray Ordesia, nice to meet you." Her cheeks flushed with embarrassment.
"Hi, my name is Ren Ashbell. I am in the care of Greyworth Ciel Mais, delighted to meet you." Ren bowed to greet the imperial family and especially Fianna cordially.
"Oh! So, you're the little girl Greyworth always mentions!" Andrev's eyes sparkled. "She talks a lot about you, she also told us that you are going to participate as an independent elementalist."
"Where is she? I came to this place to register as a participant for this "Blade Dance." She looked all over the interior, but she didn't see her. He had Dukedom, as well as the leaders of the Dragon Empire of Dracunia, Quina Empire, Alpha Theocracy, and other countries.
"Don't worry. Greyworth has already done all the paperwork for you to participate. But he left a message: "Take the opportunity to have fun at the festival." It's what I leave, before I leave and..." Andrev called the man dressed as a butler, where he came with a small leather bag. "I leave you this bag containing money so you can spend it."
(This witch...)
Ren frowned once grabbing the leather bag.
(Because you didn't mention that you were coming, I would have traveled with you, and I wouldn't have suffered from meeting Sengo.)
"Thank you very much." Ren bowed and talked about how she was leaving. Where the imperial family smiled and said goodbye to her with respect.
Ren walking out of the room, found Sengo leaning his body against the wall.
"I thought you were going to take longer." Sengo mentioned watching her leave the room.
"I thought the same thing, but that old witch had already done everything and also left me money to spend on the festival."
"Seeing your expression, I was unaware of that person's actions."
"Yes, I would have traveled with her with peace of mind, but she forced me to travel alone to get to this place."
Ren walked over carrying the bag of money hanging on her waist.
"I also leave a message of having fun spending the money."
"Okay?"
Ren looked at Sengo strangely.
"Once, you used money..."
Sengo raised an eyebrow. "No. I had no need to use the money."
"¿…?" Now Ren looked at Sengo in confusion. "I'd rather not know your past."
They walked calmly through the corridors, going down stairs to reach the entrance of the coliseum that continued to enter and leave people.
"What are you going to do now?" Sengo asked.
"Look at how to spend money." Ren replied as she continued down the main street looking at the shops, and finding out if anything caught her attention.
She started buying some fruits to satisfy her hunger.
"Don't you really want something to eat?"
"No, I don't have the need to eat either. So take advantage of the money for yourself."
"Seriously, you're getting weirder and weirder." She bit into the apple as she watched Sengo.
As they walked, they came to a fountain that was in the center that connected several streets. Walking to a street she saw some shops to play in.
They approached a store where they were to use a shotgun and shoot rubber bullets at the wall that had tablets with numbers on them and knock it down.
"This looks funny!" Ren's eyes flashed as she gripped the shotgun. "Haber, haber..." Ren looked at the awards with numbers.
Seeing the prize she wanted to take, she pointed to the table with the numeral '10'.
"Good, good, I'll take the teddy bear stuffed animal."
She fired where she saw the rubber bullet go over the board.
"You failed." Sengo muttered near Ren.
"Shut up!" Ren exclaimed as she began to fire again, failing in the attempt.
She fired three times, which missed.
"This will be the charm!"
Ren prepared herself painstakingly by looking at her target with great care and analyzing the trajectory of the missed shots.
"I won!"
The shot hit the '10' board and knocked him down the next moment. Winning the teddy bear.
"Miss have your prize!"
Ren happily received the stuffed animal.
Sengo watched Ren and then looked at another store where he was rescuing fish with a paper net from a plastic ring.
"Kingyo Sukui." Ren looked up after hearing what Sengo said. She saw that he was going to another store.
Ren followed Sengo who approached the fish tank store where she saw several small fish of different colors.
Sengo grabbed the plastic hoop object with paper net and knelt down, before starting he was given a small container of water to put the fish that he would catch with the paper net.
(This will attract a lot of attention...)
A drop of sweat ran down Ren's forehead.
Sengo began to play by moving his right arm, leaving a blur in view of the public who began to observe him before playing.
At that, Ren realized something.
(At what point did his left arm recover!)
Sengo's left arm had been immobilized with the bandage for recovery, but now he was using that left arm as if it had never been fractured.
While Ren was thinking about that, Sengo had stopped catching fish.
He had already caught 20 fish in the container he received. He decided to stop and return the trapped fish to the tank so that the next person can play calmly and have a better chance of catching one.
Sengo handed him the plastic object where his paper net was not damaged.
"We should go." Sengo said as he looked at Ren who was still in the clouds. "Ren Ashbell."
He tapped her gently with his index finger to wake her up.
"Huh!" Ren came out of her thoughts. "Are you done playing yet?"
"Yes."
Ren paid the owner of the store that Sengo had played.
"What do we do now?" asked Sengo as they walked. The sun was beginning to descend on the horizon, bathing the sky in warm shades of orange and gold.
"Let's look for more game stores."
"I would recommend you try a couple more, so that tomorrow we can come back to this street to have fun for a while."
Ren thought about it for a moment. "You're right, let's go to that game over there." She pointed to the man holding a sledgehammer and preparing to strike a plate under a platform, where a metal object began to rise. The object almost hit the bell that was located at the top of the tower.
Ren walked over to the game, where she waited for her turn. There were like seven people waiting to play in this game.
After a few minutes, Ren grabbed the mallet.
"You can." Sengo said, encouraging Ren.
Ren raising the top of the deck, then lowering it forcefully and hitting the plate.
The metal object began to rise by striking the bell.
"Good." Ren handed the deck to Sengo, who also decided to play.
I keep lifting the gavel a little, I hit the plate. The metal object hit the bell.
(I'm not surprised.) Ren thought, knowing of Sengo's superhuman abilities.
"I guess we can have some candy." Ren suggested, approaching the food stores.
Ren bought some taiyaki. Where she shared it with Sengo, although he thought of rejecting him, but decided to accept and eat taiyaki together on the way while they looked for other food stores.
They ate meat skewers, cheesecake and finally dango on the way back to the hotel.
"It was fun." Ren said as she grinned from ear to ear eating the dango skewer.
Sengo nodded, enjoying his dango.
"Tomorrow, we have to do the same."
"Yes, I watched some games so you can have fun." Sengo commented.
They returned together to the main street by which they had come. They walked calmly while observing several people who were still having fun as well as some problematic people who were drunk.
"There's the hotel." Sengo pointed to where there was a sign hanging on the wall: 'House of Happiness'.
"It has a motel name." Ren frowned.
"Details." Sengo spoke with boredom.
Upon arrival, a woman with brown hair and brown eyes greeted them with a bright smile.
"Welcome to the 'House of Happiness' Motel!" she greeted cheerfully.
Ren looked at Sengo with a mixture of annoyance and disbelief.
"... Details," Sengo repeated indifferently.
"Our rooms have an enchantment that silences any strange noise! So, you can choose the one you like best!" the woman added enthusiastically.
"I'm leaving."
Ren was planning to retreat, but was stopped by Sengo.
"Let's go in, nothing is going to happen so don't worry about it."
Ren tried to break away, but Sengo's grip would not allow it.
"Same room please. We just want posada until the festival is over."
"Don't worry! Here's the key!"
By the time Ren stepped out the window, Sengo had handed the room key to the receptionist.
Sengo was about to grab the key, but the receptionist held out her other hand.
"They must pay."
Ren looked at Sengo's gaze, knowing what she had to do.
"Have." Ren who had seen the sign with the room prices, paid for the room.
Sengo grabbed the key and walked to the stairs that went upstairs. Ren followed.
"As you paid in the afternoon, if you don't have money."
"I didn't pay anything; I asked him for a comfortable place for you to rest. She was very kind to give me the key to this room."
"So you wanted to repay that kindness by spending the night here until the festival is over."
"Yes, after all good deeds are always rewarded." Sengo said, pointing his index finger in the air.
"Good." Ren ended up sighing at the end.
Sengo, using the key, opened the room where there was a bed that would easily accommodate two people.
"You can sleep in bed; I will rest on the floor. I don't have a problem, so don't worry," Sengo said, in case Ren asked if it would be okay for him to sleep on the floor.
"I wasn't going to ask you to sleep with me in bed." Ren's eyes darkened.
"It would be strange if you did." Sengo said, as he settled on the floor resting his back on the wall near the window that was closed.
Ren went to the window to cover it with the curtain. And then jump into bed and start sleeping.
The next day.
Sengo and Ren walked through the streets visiting different places, where they entered one to enjoy different desserts, where Ren devoured delighted with the flavor of the pieces of cake.
Sengo just watched at the window as people walked enthusiastically enjoying the festival, and tomorrow the "Blade Dance" event would begin, it was good that Ren also enjoyed the festival before the fights began.
They left the premises, to walk around the city. It seems that a lot of sugar did Ren a little wrong.
"I'm too full, it was a bad idea to eat a lot of sweets and then drink an exaggerated amount of water to try to get the sugar out of my stomach."
Ren was back wanting to throw up.
"You must eat in moderation next time," Sengo muttered, walking with his arms crossed hidden by his kimono.
"At what point did you get those clothes?"
"I had it in storage."
"Huh." Ren looked at Sengo still feeling nauseous. "Where?"
"In my leather bag." Sengo took out a leather bag from his sleeves to show it to Ren.
"I never saw you with that, what kind of magic you used to get it."
Sengo put the leather bag away once by crossing his arms and then pulled out a red card.
"Thanks to this card, it can be used as storage. I have too many items here that I ended up stealing from several people."
"Are you a thief?" Ren ended up raising an eyebrow at the end.
"No, I like to collect the objects of the people I kill."
"Oh, that makes sense to me." Ren muttered. "Damn monster."
"Thank you." Sengo took it as a compliment.
As they walked through different streets, they came across one with a museum style.
They entered out of curiosity, where they saw different paintings of different people with their respective names as well as the mention of winners of the old "Blade Dance". Among the paintings, Ren recognized her teacher.
"She's Greyworth Ciel Mais." Ren pointed Sengo to her teacher's painting.
Greyworth Ciel Mais — Twilight Witch Winner of the Blade Dance.
"She won the Blade Dance 20 years ago."
Sengo looked at the picture of the beautiful young-looking woman with gray hair and eyes, wearing a white uniform that was elegant.
"Even though it's a painting, I can feel the aura of it that is interesting. I'd like to meet her."
Ren looked at Sengo.
"Just in case, are you a masochist?
Sengo frowned.
"No, but I like the fight to the death."
(He is a masochist.)
Ren looked flat at Sengo.
"I'm not." Sengo replied as if he had read Ren's mind.
"Hmph." Ren shrugged and walked through the halls looking at different paintings.
They were about 15 minutes inside that place. They left to continue exploring the city.
At least, Sengo heard the story of the Demon King Sulaiman, who is a copy of King Solomon along with the 72 demons that person controlled.
"What do we do now?" Ren asked, there were no more ideas to try to pass the time.
"It's past noon, there's a few hours left before sunset begins. It would be very boring to go to the game stores."
"I guess you're right..." Ren looked at the coliseum. "Let's go to the coliseum, I'd like to see the seats like a spectator would."
"Good."
After a couple of minutes, they were at the entrance of the coliseum. They entered following the group of people who were entering the coliseum for the first time, where some sat down to see the concrete platform that would be the place for tomorrow's fighting.
"It's the first time I've come to this place!"
Ren listened to the conversation of the people behind him.
"Likewise! This kind of event comes up every 'x' time!"
Ren couldn't understand those people's feelings, even though she was currently 14 years old. The last Blade Dance was held 20 years ago where her teacher won. To begin with, she didn't even exist to see her master's victory.
And now I would be participating in the Blade Dance, when I had no desire to participate either, if it had not been for the wish I wanted to fulfill for Restia, perhaps I would also be a spectator of this Blade Dance.
"Look." Sengo's voice interrupted her thoughts. "They're going to have a fight as training, although it would be bad because that way they can figure out a way to beat them."
Ren looked at the platform where she saw two girls with their spirit weapons, they were preparing to fight.
"You're right." Ren looked to analyze them and have an advantage for tomorrow's fight in case she fought any of them.
Ren y Sengo was back on the street where there were shops with games.
It was already dusk, and now it was already dusk.
Ren walked back to the store and shot to gain another stuffed animal, this time it was a dragon one.
This time I just need one try to win the stuffed animal I wanted.
Sengo went to have fun catching fish.
This time Ren went to have fun at the betting shop. Where his luck was in her favor.
She had earned a modest amount to continue spending quietly in various positions.
"So this candy is your favorite." Ren said that she ate the dango skewers with Sengo.
"Yes. Although I'm not much of a sweet eater, to be honest. But dango is still my favorite when I ate it as a kid."
"There must be a reason for that."
What Ren said ended by opening a small, dark and blurred memory of the silhouette of a woman holding a skewer of dango handing it to a small Sengo.
"I guess." Sengo commented indifferently after having that small blurred memory, without trying to know who the woman who gave him that tango skewer was.
Sengo watched as Ren had fun in the different stores with different games. The night passed like this until they saw how people released an object as if it were a balloon with a fire inside it levitating and flying to the skies of Astral Zero.
"What are they doing?" Sengo asked out of curiosity to the man who was about to release the same object, a flying lantern.
"Oh, I guess you're new to this." The man was already an old person. "Although we rarely do this. It's an opening before the start of tomorrow's Blade Dance, this is a way to warn the spirits and calm their craving to see the Blade Dance."
"It's a nice sight, isn't it?"
Sengo and Ren looked up at the sky, where a flower forms with its petals spread out.
"Try to throw one too."
Ren and Sengo released the flying lantern into the sky that they integrated into the drawing of the flower in the sky.
Tomorrow the Blade Dance begins.
❅────✧✦✧────❅•
I was thinking of making an OCC of Rimuru Tempest (obviously female) and Ciel, as Rimuru's hired Spirit, but I have no idea what weapon it would be. And since it would also be a waste of character, he would only use it for the Blade Dance matches, where Ren Ashbell is going to win to fulfill Restia's wish.
I don't know, but it's just an imagination of mine to write to Rimuru and Ciel.
