Chapter 47 - Mysterious mask men

[3RD POV INITIALLIZE]

Giant blue particles in the shape of a globe floated in the center of the hall, radiant their light upon the ten pillars that circled this magical, arcane ball.

However, the person who sits on the throne of each pillar couldn't be seen clearly since their appearance was distorted by some sort of magic to hide their identity, in addition, the blue light was insufficient.

Nonetheless, they knew each other faces, but it was a rule of this secret organization to hide their identity even in public or private, concealed beneath a faceless white mask.

Even though there were 10 thrones, there was one throne that was missing one person. So right now only 9 people were present, and the missing of this one person made the tension in the hall even more noticeable.

[Code name number 9, the news has arrived that Number 10 has failed his mission.] The voice was akin to that of a young boy.

[Code name number 7 speaking, he was defeated by an unknown person, either a regressor or reincarnator.] A distorted voice but still be able to know that the speaker was a young girl could be heard.

[Code name number 2 speaking, a regressor isn't strong enough to fight against a divine mythical artifact and device. The celestial in this universe will be aware of such powerful narrative energy unless this unknown person can create an entire dimension to preserve all the narrative energy.] A very distorted voice that couldn't identify which gender the owner was could be heard.

At that moment, a voice that command all authority in the world could be heard as if speaking through a vortex of another dimension.

[He must be a powerful entity similar to an Archon arriving at this timeline, nonetheless, we must prepare for our next stage. The harvest season is coming, inform the world government and the dogma of Yallareon about this news.] Said, Genie.

All the remaining people in the hall said in unison [As your wish, Father.]

Genie continued "As for Stella, let her roam free for a while."

[1ST POV INITIALLIZE]

Woke up another day in the middle of the night, I opened up the window curtain and looked at the holographic sky that had a full moon illuminating the city. Even though the sky was fake, I felt calm whenever I looked at the moon.

Then I walked to the bathroom to wash my face and returned to bed, I wanted to do a push but someone I couldn't bring myself to do it. So I just sank into the soft surface of my bed and closed my eyes thinking about the performance I had with my friends, we did our best and I was proud of it.

At the same time, I felt like I wanted to listen to Stella's voice. Therefore I pulled out my wireless headphones from the drawer beside my bed. Put it on and a holographic display before me, projected from the headphones, prompting me to choose the list of songs from my playlist.

Her pop songs, sound more feminine and balanced, one of my favorite songs from Stella was called River of Stars. The lyrics reflect her struggle, stuck in a meaningless loop of daily life, and how she broke free from it to chase after her light.

The song was upbeat, so it made me feel refreshed. While I was listening, a thought crossed my mind, it made me question myself, what do I like and hate? Do I really want to become a judge?

Being in the band wouldn't sustain me for a long time either, maybe I lacked the confidence that Stella had. After all, I realized I wasn't as special as her or born with privilege like Setsuna. However, I also knew it wasn't good to be jealous of them, maybe for now I would just go with the flow and perhaps one day I might discover my talent as well.

When I opened my eyes once again as the song came to an end, I caught a glimpse of what seemed like tiny blue particles flickering before my eyes. What was that?

I woke up from the bed and shook my head, these past few days seemed like I was very prone to hallucination after my encounter with the demon lord in TWOD and the mysterious white hair man.

Now I pulled myself to finally do a set of push-ups, afterward, I went to take a shower, put on a shirt, jeans, and a black jacket, and left my room.

It seemed like it was around 6 am right now as I looked at the yellowish artificial sky through the window of the passage, therefore I went out of the dorm and on my way to the Cathedral's dining hall. There weren't many people around this time, so I was very happy to walk alone for once while enjoying the scenery around the Cathedral.

On this road that I was walking, memories flashed through my mind in which I defeated Loran despite not having modified arms like him. This somehow made me feel slightly proud as I smiled to myself.

While I was strolling, I saw Ethane, a man with slick back hair standing and talking with what seemed like a policeman who was writing something on the holographic display from his tablet.

I walked passed behind his back and headed toward the cafeteria, fortunately, there weren't many people there so I went straight to the vending machine to get an ice latte, bottle of water, and chicken sandwiches to enjoy the breakfast and left.

Now heading toward the gate, I encountered Frederic, a guard here who I didn't see yesterday appeared with a smile.

He said "I saw your performance, I know you have a talent. You can do it! I always wanted to be a rock star, but I didn't dare to follow my dream since I took part in the Second Galatic war as a soldier, so do it for me!"

I never knew he had such a goal before, why did he choose to be a security guard? I didn't dare to ask him about that thought, but thinking my life could be turned out like him really made me fearful of the future nonetheless he still did his job with optimism which was very admirable of him.

"I will do my best, thanks for supporting me," I said with a smile and walked toward the gate.

"See you later too, Einsamer." Replied, Frederic.

As I stepped forward, I also looked at the statues of the Star Guesser, I wondered what he thought at that time to even come up with that other stars in the night sky were the same as the solar system and the universe was infinite. As a person who couldn't even think outside the box, I couldn't help but feel admirable for him.

Once I went through the tunnel to the city outside, the world outside was even more bustling than usual. I continued my walk for around ten minutes until I arrived at the Skyport and found a seat to rest while waiting for the bus line.

But out of nowhere, I found Stella with a mask and hood on approaching me. It was surprising since she said she wouldn't come here to run her coffee shop today. My eyes fixed on her with curiosity, I was waiting for her to speak first.

"Hey, Einsamer!" Said, Stella as she stood before me.

"Don't you say you aren't opening your shop today?" I asked.

She replied, "I still have a few things to do here."

"Ohh I see," I murmured.

As she took a few steps further from me, then she abruptly halted her step and slightly turned to look at the right side of her shoulder which was directed at one corner of the bus station, I looked in the same direction as her and saw four people clad in black hood and jacket, with a mask of creepy angelic being soaked in red blood, looked like these people were working for a cult more than doing it for fashion.

Are they a part of Yatia or Yallareon church or a new religious and hidden cult?

She then said in a slightly lower tone "Be careful of those weirdos, they seem to appear more frequently throughout Tellus not just sector 2, and if they take the same bus as you, just wait for the next one."

Waiting for the next one would be a waste of time, but I just nodded to her without saying a word. Moreover, I didn't think these weirdos would do anything bad since the security was so tight here and even if they had a bad intention in mind, what could they do?

Regardless, I nodded my head since I didn't have time to explain myself, and then she nodded back with a reassuring expression and walked away toward one of the security guards. Afterward, I put the tablet back into my jacket pocket and zip it closed.

More importantly, I appreciate her for taking me to my school last time.

Since I had a few minutes left, I reflected on my experience within the TWOD many days ago, especially the identity of Lasiv and the mystery behind the disaster that impacted real-life players. Is it orchestra by someone?

Maybe the alien finally noticed our civilization and launched a secret invasion, That was likely but it was still my speculation. Suddenly I heard a loud beep beep sound of a horn as well as an electrical engine approaching from a distance sky that cut my train of thought.

I looked toward it and saw an aerodynamic bus with a length of approximately 25 meters, a width of 5 meters, and 4 meters in height gradually descending onto the platform that passed through a fence placed near the cliff as the fence gradually opened, as soon as the flying bus landed on the platform, a holographic barrier appeared around the platform to protect passenger from accidentally falling to the cliff except the entrance to the platform for passengers to got in and out didn't have a holographic barrier.

The door of the bus slid open as passengers left the bus one by one when they scanned a device attached beside a bar near the bus entrance.

As the people from the bus left one by one, a mature female voice could be heard announcing

[The line 5 bus has arrived, for the next passengers, you have five minutes to board the bus from The Divine Singa Island to the Educational Central hub. Please note that the maximum capacity of the bus is 75 passengers.]

I stood up from the bench and took a sip of the coffee, the warm taste of the caffeine slowly sipped into my tongue as I swallowed it which alerted my awareness. While proceeding toward the opening fence of the platform that supported the flying bus to land, I also noticed several people who seemed to stand out the most amongst the crowd were walking toward me, these weirdos dressed in agony angel masks and black hoods also approached the line of the bus I about to aboard, there was no other explanation since I knew they would heading this way to taking the line 5 bus.

I hope they weren't a terrorist since this group of weirdo appeared across the dome for several days now and nothing bad had been happening yet.

As I got closer to the opening fence, there was a blue steel barricade that split the lane in two aligned in the middle of the two lanes between those who needed to board and those who were leaving.

One was for the passengers who were going to board it and the other was for the passenger who was leaving the bus. In addition, there was also a hovering holographic sign pointing toward the bus above the barricade while walking in the line of more than 20 passengers waiting to board the bus.

Once the security guard waved his traffic baton in the air, the passengers in the front of my line stepped forward. At the same time, I pretended to look somewhere else as I slightly leaned my head to sneak a look at one of the creepy men in horror angelic masks who already arrived in the line and he was five people away behind me.

I didn't notice any unusual activity from him, but that didn't mean I would let my guard down since this trend had already become a big thing, they were working with each other like an organization. There was a chance that they could be a terrorist, and to board the same bus as them wasn't a good idea now that I think about it, but I had no choice since this was the only fastest bus line that directly drove to the educational district sector 1 dome.

I felt uncertain but when the line kept moving, I also took another step forward, and in a few seconds I found myself touching the cold aluminum steel of the handle placed near the entrance to support my body as I pulled myself to board the bus since it slightly levitates above the ground.

Within the bus, there were two floors, and seats were placed facing each other but separated by a cupholder giving a privacy space for everyone. I found a nearby seat with no passenger located near the door, so I took my bag from my back off and sat on the seat and put my bag on my lap, then I placed my coffee into the cupholder.

Immediately after I sat down on the soft leather seat, I heard a mature female voice announce resonate throughout the bus station as well as within the bus [3 minutes left until the bus of line 5 departure.]

More people began to enter the first floor of the bus and filled the seats but then my heart skipped a beat as soon as I saw the strange men with angelic creepy masks also boarded, When I briefly glanced at them, they returned my glance with a stare, that almost made me felt shivers.

There were small dark holes in the position of their eyes on their masks. Even though it was difficult to see their eyes clearly due to the darkness beneath the masks, I could feel their intense stare.

I abruptly diverted my attention from them and pretended to glance around, eventually they no longer stared at me and just sat down without even moving an inch.
