I gave the mysterious door an experimental nudge.
"It's a sliding door," Millie said. I knew that.
I pushed and against the cracking paint and slide it to the side. A puff of dust billowed out and I coughed as I tried to clear it with a hand.
Millie looked to have been expecting this and, with one hand over her mouth, reached around the doorframe and flicked on the light.
The light took a few flickers to turn on but when it did I was genuinely shocked.
"What is this?" I asked as I stepped into the room.
It wasn't a big place, just a few metres by a few metres, but all three of its walls were lined with tables and on each of these tables was a mess of cables and keyboards and old, old computers.
"This is the old computer lab," said Millie. "Everything here is way before my time, but it should be familiar to you."
"Hey…"
