Chapter 70 - Hogwarts, Please Graduate Soon, Ch 57.2

______________

The twins were extremely enthusiastic about creating prank items or interesting magical products and were even more serious about it than during class. If Professor McGonagall caught them, she would probably be furious enough to lock them up.

After explaining the spell, Wayne pulled out some ordinary feathers and handed them a few potions for enhancement. Only the feathers that had been soaked in the potions would transform into a special material for making magical quills.

When noon arrived, the three of them were reluctant to leave, but Wayne had to go.

"What are you going to do?" Cedric asked.

"I promised Hermione I'd teach her the Armor Charm this afternoon."

"Oh!" George let out a strange noise. "So you're off to see Miss Know-It-All?"

Cedric chuckled lewdly, "Tsk…Wayne, you're quick on the draw."

Wayne didn't take offense and looked at them with a half-smile. "Hogwarts doesn't have that many students; your future wives will likely come from here."

"If you don't mind, you can wait until seventh year."

"When your future wives have already been ex-girlfriends of many, they'll be more experienced," Wayne concluded before stepping out, leaving the trio wide-eyed and speechless.

"Wow…" Cedric gasped, feeling the truth in Wayne's words.

"That does make a lot of sense," George acknowledged.

Indeed, there were many such situations. For instance, the Quidditch team captain's girlfriend was the ex of one of the sixth-year prefects, and that prefect's ex was also the former girlfriend of a Ravenclaw prefect.

Every year, the start of school feels like the transfer window. Today, this girlfriend is changed, and tomorrow, that one will be too. Cedric shuddered. No, he also had to learn from Wayne and cultivate a Fred and George from a young age.

Fred and George empathized with him, but all their attention was focused on making props. After a brief moment of complaining, they went back to practicing spells.

In the afternoon, after taking a nap, Wayne waited at the entrance of the Gryffindor common room for Hermione and pulled her along as they descended the tower.

"Come on, I'll take you to a fun place," Wayne said mysteriously.

Hermione looked confused. "Aren't you supposed to teach me the Armored Charm? Where are we going?"

"You'll find out if you follow me," Wayne replied, and he led Hermione directly to the eighth floor, their hands never letting go along the way.

Hermione bit her lip slightly. This was not the first time; why did Wayne always like to hold her hand while walking? Was he afraid she would get lost? By now, she was somewhat used to it.

After wandering around on the eighth floor, they found the tapestry depicting the giant beating up Barnabas the Barmy, who was trying to teach a giant how to ballet dance but ended up getting pummelled instead. This painting had existed since the school was founded, and for over a thousand years, the scene of giants beating Barnabas had never ceased. It was unclear what deep-seated hatred the artist had for Barnabas.
