Once they confirmed they were in the right place, Wayne paced back and forth three times near the wall opposite him while mentally reciting. "I need a place to practice spells."
On Wayne's third pass, an incredibly smooth door appeared on the wall, complete with a handle. Without hesitation, Wayne pulled Hermione and pushed the door open to enter.
"What is this place?"
The room had no light source but was as bright as the outside, with a spacious interior filled with puppets and targets.
Hermione looked around in amazement at the room and the furnishings.
"It's the Room of Requirement," Wayne said while observing their surroundings. However, unlike Hermione, he wished to see something deeper. Unfortunately, his skills weren't quite enough, and his knowledge was limited. After observing for a while, he couldn't discern much. He could only confirm that the Room of Requirement was somewhat similar to the Sorting Hat, possessing some ability to link with one's thoughts and desires.
"All you have to do is quietly state your needs and walk back and forth three times like I just did, and this room will be arranged to suit what you want," he explained.
"But if someone is inside, the Room of Requirement won't appear, unless your needs are the same."
"Is it really that amazing? I want to try!" Hermione's eyes lit up, and she pulled Wayne out of the room to give it a go herself.
Once they stepped outside, the smooth door vanished immediately. Hermione mimicked Wayne, walking back and forth three times. Sure enough, the door appeared again, and as she pushed it open, she found rows of bookshelves inside, filled with various books.
Just as Hermione was about to pick up a book to read, Wayne quickly stopped her: "We'll have plenty of time to read later; remember, today we're focusing on learning the spells first."
"Alright," Hermione reluctantly put the book back, and the two of them changed the Room of Requirement back to its original state.
"Wayne," Hermione asked curiously, looking at the boy, "how did you discover the Room of Requirement?"
"Nighttime explorations," Wayne replied naturally. "I told you before, this castle has too many secrets. If all you do is attend classes, you won't discover so many interesting things."
Hermione thought for a moment, suddenly feeling an impulse to explore.
"Alright, the Lawrence Teacher's mini-class is about to begin." Wayne pretended to clear his throat dramatically and even conjured a pair of glasses for himself, making Hermione laugh.
"Miss Granger, please pay attention in class; otherwise, the teacher will spank you."
Hermione's face flushed slightly. "You dare!"
Wayne decided not to tease her any longer; the little girl had a thin skin but high standards. He would take his time to break through those barriers.
The Armored Charm was a widely used protective spell in the wizarding world, capable of creating an invisible barrier around the caster to ward off most attack spells, and it could even reflect them.
