Arthur aimlessly walked and walked. There was nobody around but himself. He wasn't really thinking. He wasn't speaking. His breathing was faint. His legs were more alive than his mind as they kept on dragging him into the night. The rain was pouring heavy onto the ground, making the land muddy.
The rain then became motionless. The wind had stopped. Everything became still.
"Look at you all so dirty and filthy! What do you think you're doing, human? Ah! You can't hear me can you?"
The rain resumed. Arthur continued walking.
"Hey! Don't ignore me! I'm a God you know? A god!"
Arthur looked at the kid floating in the air. He then continued walking. The child wore green robes, shorts and shoes. He had yellow eyes, white hair and a bright expression on his face. He put his hands on Arthur's shoulders, still hovering in the air.
"Wait already! Stop walking! Gosh!"
"..."
Arthur was silent. He didn't care for the brat who claimed he was a God. He didn't care for anything. The only thing on his mind was killing Sedah.
"Listen, human! I want to make a contract with you and I've come personally to do so!"
Arthur glared at the kid, "...Contract? It'll make me stronger, right?" He spoke in a rough voice.
"Yes! It'll make both of us stronger! So what do you say in forming a contract with me?"
Arthur wrapped his hand around the kid's neck, and with one arm, he pinned him against the earth. The kid grabbed a hold of Arthur's wrist, clawing away, in an attempt to escape, but it was useless. Arthur's eyes were scary to the child god. His consciousness was slowly fading.
Arthur let go. The kid began gasping for air.
"Why would I make a contract with such a weak God?" Arthur was disappointed that such a small and fragile God had been the only one wanting to form a contract with him.
"I'm not weak! At least, my abilities will be useful to you! Please make a contract with me!" The kid was desperate.
"Your abilities? Why do you want to be stronger, brat? Why did you come to me for a contract?"
"For revenge." The kid's eyes were full of resolve.
"Against who?"
"Every single God."
"I see..." Arthur didn't know the context of this kid's strive for vengeance, but he could see it. The path in him becoming stronger and reaching his goal, "I won't pry on your past. So, what kind of God are you?"
The kid began to stand on his two feet, his knees now dirty, and his cheek full of mud.
"Time! I'm the God of time! My name is Chronos!"
"Time, huh? I've never heard of such a God before."
"I'm relatively new from all the Gods...my mother's name is Eira and my father is..well..I don't know."
"Eira?... I see. How old are you?"
"I'm...not sure." Chronos looked down at the ground.
"Whatever, it doesn't matter to me. I'll form a contract with you." Arthur wasn't sure why he had formed a contract with this God. He was weak. His name isn't known among humanity. Any other God would've made him much stronger. Arthur didn't know it, but he felt empathetic towards him."How do I form a contract with you?"
"Ah! Of course."
Chronos took his hand, reaching into his chest, grabbing ahold of a piece of paper that was inside him. His hand had phased into his chest! Arthur stared at the piece of paper that had a bright glow.
Chronos handed the piece of paper to Arthur.
"Be careful with it! This is practically my soul! All you need to do is stamp your blood on the paper!"
"My...blood?" Arthur looked at the paper, trying to read the paper, it was in symbols he couldn't understand. He took his thumb, then bit into it to draw out blood. He then stamped the bottom of the paper, leaving his mark.
"Now all you have to do is reach in your chest with that paper! Simple right?" Chronos had a big grin on his face, he was excited about the contract!
Arthur shoved the paper right into his chest, it phased right through. It had merged with his heart. His soul. He felt a burning sensation; he then kneeled on the ground and started to cough up blood. It felt like his head was splitting open. He gripped the sides of his head with his hands.
"WHAT'S HAPPENING TO ME?! WHAT DID YOU DO?!" He clutched tightly onto his chest. His heart started palpitating quicker.
"Ah! Please bear with it! Your body is just responding and trying to adapt. I believe you'll survive!"
Arthur never felt such an agonizing pain before. He started feeling a tearing sensation within his body. Veins started to stick out throughout his whole body.
"GAHH!" His mind had conjured up an image of Sedah; this had kept him conscious. To stay alive.
"SEDAHHHH!!"
