After some time.
All members of the Night Owl organization stationed in Tokyo officially left the organization and set up their own faction.
In the end, Izushima followed Hayashi's advice and completely separated from the Night Owl organization. However, "going independent" was merely a pretense. In reality, it was nearly impossible for Izushima to truly establish his own faction.
Because they had already been blacklisted by the Night Owl headquarters and publicly shamed in certain circles.
This meant that even though Izushima and his group had left the Night Owl organization, it would be very difficult for them to join any new organizations for a long time. Even taking on missions by themselves had become significantly more challenging.
But Hayashi solved these problems. Over the years, Izushima had accumulated resources in Tokyo, so he had access to plenty of information.
Hayashi expanded their range for finding missions, going outside of Tokyo to take on jobs.
During this time, Hayashi exorcised many low-level cursed spirits, earning considerable rewards and points.
Up until now, including the points Hayashi had accumulated earlier, he had reached 750 points—the highest total he had ever achieved.
As a result, Izushima and his team were financially well-off, far better than they had been when they were under the Night Owl organization. Izushima was quite grateful to Hayashi for this.
However, everyone found it strange that whenever it came time to exorcise cursed spirits, Hayashi always insisted on doing it himself.
Nobody understood why Hayashi had such a strong passion for exorcising cursed spirits. It just seemed odd.
Exorcising cursed spirits was exorcising cursed spirits—what difference did it make who did it? Especially when the outcome was already decided, it didn't matter who finished the job. But Hayashi insisted on doing it himself.
The others thought it was peculiar but didn't object. Since Hayashi wanted to exorcise the cursed spirits, they let him do it. After all, it wasn't a task anyone particularly enjoyed. If Hayashi was willing, they saw no harm in letting him take over.
At 750 points, Hayashi wanted to unlock everything from the standard version. Only one remained—the "Time-Space Mirror," which required 800 points.
This was an accumulation of points. Previously, unlocking a domain had required 600 points. Now, he needed only 200 more to unlock it.
[Congratulations! Space-Time Mirror Unlocked!]
The Time-Space Mirror was essentially a mirror world. Hayashi could enter the Time-Space Mirror and arrive in a world identical to his own. Everything would be the same.
However, the people in this mirror world didn't know Hayashi. Nothing in this world had anything to do with him, but everything was an exact replica of the original world.
This meant...
Hayashi could exorcise cursed spirits in the mirror world. As long as he could find them, he could exorcise them freely. But the points he would earn for exorcising cursed spirits would always be one.
In other words, whether he exorcised a special-grade cursed spirit worth 100 points or a Grade 4 cursed spirit, he would only receive 1 point. Regardless of the cursed spirit's grade, all earned 1 point.
This mirror world could be used as a "farming ground" for Hayashi, and it could also be his personal playground. Of course, since Hayashi had no particular interest in romantic affairs, the "playground" didn't include any options involving women.
In this context, the playground meant Hayashi could freely exorcise cursed spirits, defeat curse users, and do whatever he couldn't in the original world.
There was more!
Hayashi could also fight special-grade cursed spirits he wouldn't normally dare challenge or face off against jujutsu sorcerers—such as Sukuna or Gojo Satoru!
That's right, Hayashi planned to challenge both Sukuna and Gojo Satoru in the mirror world. He wanted to see just how wide the gap was between him and these two titans.
The mirror world was safe. In the moment before death, Hayashi would return to the original world, but at the cost of 100 points. Every death would deduct 100 points, which was a lot, but it didn't really matter since he could farm points infinitely.
Additionally, the mirror world allowed Hayashi to travel back in time. The further back he wanted to go, the more points it would cost. For example, if Hayashi wanted to return to the era when Sukuna was at his peak, it would cost thousands of points.
That was an enormous amount of points. Hayashi would never feel like he had enough—he always needed more.
However, the mirror world didn't allow him to fast forward into the future; it only let him travel to the past.
Currently, Hayashi had 550 points left. He decided to unlock the premium pass to further enhance his power. Strength was the key to everything.
Considering the uncertainty of the future, Hayashi needed to prepare as many trump cards as possible and become strong enough to protect those he cared about.
[Congratulations! Premium Pass Unlocked!]
600 points unlocks: Cobalt Black Flash.
2500 points unlocks: Technique - Sun and Moon Armor.
3200 points unlocks: Infinite Cursed Energy.
4500 points unlocks: Cursed Energy Rampage.
5700 points unlocks: Bankai Black Steel.
6000 points unlocks: Enhanced Multiplier Damage.
7400 points unlocks: Phantom Time Flash.
8100 points unlocks: Domain Expansion - Shinsei Shoku (Divine Eclipse)
9200 points unlocks: Interdimensional Space-Time Mirror.
"Whoa!"
Hayashi shouted from his dorm room at Jujutsu High. This was insane.
Compared to the standard version, the points required for the premium pass were multiplied several times over. The first technique, "Cobalt Black Flash," required 600 points, which was the same as the points needed for unlocking the standard domain.
Clearly, Cobalt Black Flash was incredibly powerful.
And yet!
This wasn't even the ultimate version!
Beyond the premium version, there was the supreme version!
It really was just like a game's battle pass. You always thought you'd unlocked the best stuff after leveling up, only to realize there was an even higher tier.
These money-grabbing tactics didn't only exist in games—they were just as prevalent in real life. Hayashi now understood that deeply.
However, the supreme version was probably the final tier, right? Surely there couldn't be anything beyond "supreme."
But for now, none of that mattered. What mattered was that Hayashi needed more points—he needed to exorcise more cursed spirits.
With the Time-Space Mirror now unlocked, Hayashi could enter it whenever he wanted. Each entry cost 10 points, which seemed quite reasonable.
"Let's give it a try."
With a thought, a rectangular door glowing with mysterious energy appeared on the empty space beside Hayashi's bed. A five-meter radius around the door was shielded by a strange force, making it impossible for even Gojo Satoru to detect anything unusual.
Curious, Hayashi stepped through the door. A flash of light followed, and the next moment, Hayashi found himself back in his dorm room at Jujutsu High—exactly as it had been.
But he knew—this was now the mirror world.
The time-space door disappeared, and Hayashi opened the door to leave his dorm. He stepped outside, enjoying the familiar atmosphere.
But then—
Suddenly!
A shadow lunged at Hayashi. Reacting quickly, he sidestepped, narrowly avoiding it. Looking over, he saw a black dog glaring at him from the ground nearby.
